Rom Manager Premium not detecting Captivate

I have a Samsung Captivate (i897) rooted and running the latest Gingerbread stock release (2.3.4). When I go to Rom Manager Premium and try to flash ClockworkMod Recovery, my phone model is not listed.
Only the following are selectable options:
Galaxy S i9000
Galaxy S i9000 (MTD)
Google Nexus S
Nexus S 4G
Any reason as to why my phone is not an available option? How else can I go about
installing ClockworkMod Recovery?
Thank you in advanced!

Gt I9000

Hi how can i root my galaxy s running 2.3.3 ive tried z4root and gingerbreak and they didnt work plz help

Those only work for Froyo. You need Chainfire's AKA CF-Root for Gingerbread and beyond...

Flash through odin one of the cf-root kernel and than flash galaxian for CWM
Or you can just use SuperOneClick 1.9.5 or higer (latest is 2.3.2 if I remember right). It roots every version of Android, from Eclair to Gingerbread.

Hi guys, I have done this in the past but is there a guide for the quickest/stress free way of installing the latest CM10.1 on a i9000 running android 2.2 (which has never had any rom's flashed). I thank you in advance. From what i remember, I need to update to 2.3 and then install CM recovery, then install from there, is that correct?
