Rom Manager Premium not detecting Captivate - Captivate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Samsung Captivate (i897) rooted and running the latest Gingerbread stock release (2.3.4). When I go to Rom Manager Premium and try to flash ClockworkMod Recovery, my phone model is not listed.
Only the following are selectable options:
Galaxy S i9000
Galaxy S i9000 (MTD)
Google Nexus S
Nexus S 4G
Any reason as to why my phone is not an available option? How else can I go about
installing ClockworkMod Recovery?
Thank you in advanced!

There is step by step guide available here at xda for both the tasks.

[Q] JVR and JVQ

Hello to everybody.I have a Hybrid 2.0 XXJVR Rom and Galaxian EE kernel and i want to test F1 Galaxy S2-SP1 Rom which is based on XXJVQ.Do i have to install XXJVQ to test it or is done from XXJVR straight away? Thanks in advance!!!
If you want to use a custom rom that is gingerbread, you need to be running gingerbread for the bootloader. Same for FroYo.
Gingerbread > gingerbread
Froyo > froyo

so are you saying that i can?because in the F1 post says to flash XXJVQ rom first. Thanks for the reply!
If the post says to flash a certain firmware first, do it. The dev knows best.

The bootloaders on stock Gingerbread ROMs are already unlocked, to the best of my knowledge. If you're still on Froyo, just find a region-appropriate stock GB ROM on SamFirmware.com.
