I just recently bought a jawbone Bluetooth and the sound is terrible . ...do bluetooth headsets work on the captivate
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Yes they do work on the Captivate. Are you using the stock ROM or have you flashed to one of the numerous ROM's that are available?
Im using cognition Rom the new one when i use it it makes a sound like hissing lots of feed back. ..does the modem or the kernel determine the quality of the Bluetooth

Are you using Firebird 2 and HSUPA? If so, your bluetooth will be screwed up, per the FAQ.

You can try this, don't know if it will work or not.

Lvh on the market has louder hacks for everything, from speaker to bluetooth to headphones to in call. If you're too cheap to buy it, his website tells you how to do it manually.
Edit: I'm an ass, that's exactly what he linked too. Lol
It works, but the little speaker can only handle so much before breaking up.

Thanks I will check it out tonight.

Sorry, I'm sure this is a dumb question, but i haven't found an answer to it yet. Is there a fix out yet for the wired headset not working for calls on the I9000 ROMS yet?

Not a dumb question. Running enclair until the answer can be dug up.

Yes. The headset is working perfectly. Checkout the ROM threads. It's mentioned on the first page of most of the current ROMs. Also, before someone delete this thread, post your questions in Q&A section of Captivate.

Used designgears Cog then Perception 8 w/xcal fix still no jack love for me. I shall take a look at some of the other ROMs with the fix maybe. "Hands Free" law kicks off Jan 2 in my state. Big push (it is needed too) right now with the state putting up lighted signs all over the place.... Just want to be ready.

Im impressed.
OP, if you mean the FM radio app, you need to use headphones as the headphone wire acts as the antenna. If you just mean music you have on your phone, try poweramp, it is a pay app, but it has a 2 week free trial. Has an excellent equalizer in it that will boost the volume.
If you are looking to listen to FM radio, and have a certain station in mind, see if they have an app that you can stream them on, check out their web site
Hope that answers your questions

Hey guys.
I was recently looking around in the Revo forums, and I heard about this "Thunderbolt script"?
I was wondering what it does and if it has any negative impacts on the phone Any risks?
Thank you!
I would not recommend crossing roms or mods. I accidently used the wrong one and let me tell you I almost threw my phone out the window. Lots of work getting the phone fixed.

I used the thunderbolt mod, it increased my battery life, also it slightly made it faster.
I used the thunderbolt mod and the only problem I had was Bluetooth crashing when I attempted to pair my phone with anything.

You can flash it over anything, there is just no guarantee it will work. It has fixed issues over many Roms for me though. I would make sure you haven't frozen any apps that stop Bluetooth from working though first (software update, stock music player).

Yeah leave the stock music.apk alone, unfortunately it's a critical part of the Revo/LG Android build. Your phone will not work properly without it.

What I found most helpful on my Captivate was (1) installing a kernel that includes Voodoo Sound mods, and (2) downloading the Voodoo Control app to control it. Turns out the captivate has a fantastic sound chip and can put out a lot more volume if needed.
good luck!
That would be via the 3.5mm jack. I'm taking about the earpiece the speaker above the att logo used for calls. There is no way to boost its volume. I'm definite it needs to be replaced. Just need someone to confirm which part of the 2 do I need to get it fixed. Also I got a work around to the capacitive buttons by using the nav bar on slim ics
