Sorry, I'm sure this is a dumb question, but i haven't found an answer to it yet. Is there a fix out yet for the wired headset not working for calls on the I9000 ROMS yet?

Yes. The headset is working perfectly. Checkout the ROM threads. It's mentioned on the first page of most of the current ROMs. Also, before someone delete this thread, post your questions in Q&A section of Captivate.

Wired headset was fixed by xcaliburinhand. Look for his kernel here in development section

Used designgears Cog then Perception 8 w/xcal fix still no jack love for me. I shall take a look at some of the other ROMs with the fix maybe. "Hands Free" law kicks off Jan 2 in my state. Big push (it is needed too) right now with the state putting up lighted signs all over the place.... Just want to be ready.

I just recently bought a jawbone Bluetooth and the sound is terrible . ...do bluetooth headsets work on the captivate
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Yes they do work on the Captivate. Are you using the stock ROM or have you flashed to one of the numerous ROM's that are available?
Im using cognition Rom the new one when i use it it makes a sound like hissing lots of feed back. ..does the modem or the kernel determine the quality of the Bluetooth

Are you using Firebird 2 and HSUPA? If so, your bluetooth will be screwed up, per the FAQ.
Hsupa is what im using. ...i remember hearing something like that thanks for the reminder

Callers can only hear me if I'm on speaker phone or if I speak directly into the mic near the charging port.
This issue appeared out of nowhere, any ideas how to correct this?
TIA

Moved to Q&A
This is a question, and as such belongs in the Q&A section
Very sily Q, but just confirm, if you device is fresh n have you remove plastic thin cover from microphone.?

Thanks for the reply, I've had the phone for over a month with relatively few issues.
The phone worked this morning then all of a sudden nobody can hear me unless I put the phone on speaker.
I just did a factory reset but that hasn't solved the issue either.
Very frustrated.
Thwn reflash stock ROM, n still problem remains, you have to submit to samsung centre

Oh boy, I'm a total newb when it comes to flashing anything or rooting.
I dont believe I receive any support since I'm in the US
So I updated to CM9 today, love it to death.
After getting into the ROM the first time, I got a voicemail notification and can't get rid of it.
I've restarted, tried to clear it in the notification area, but nothing. I've got no phone or data plan for it. Any clues?
Also, I've tried to check out ROM manager, but everything says I need to install cwm recovery first... It is already installed. I have the option to install it for gsm/MTD, should I be doing this?
Thanks as usual.
Oh, this is for my T-Mobile Galaxy Tab.

I won't recommend using ROM Manager for this device.
About the voicemail, if you google
CM9 phantom voicemail
you will see lots of references to it, about a bug in the phone.apk
Can't believe it is still there though... seems like it is.
Problems with ROM manager?
I'll do some searching, but by you're comments, I'm assuming it is going to be around for awhile.
I just got everything reinstalled in my car, dash it's back together, and while testing it'd all out, sound wouldn't come out of the dock 3.5mm jack. I read that CM7 didn't support this function, so I'm assuming I should figure out a way to use the built in headset jack?

Bump, any help here?
I'd rather ask here and then post in the dev forum and get ridiculed. Lol The only general discussion thread for CM nine that I see is For SGT seven version.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
What do you mean?
Yours s SGT 7 too, right?
The cm9 discussion thread is appropriate.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA
Mine is not SGT. Thank you for your help, somebody posted the appropriate fix zip in the developer thread.
I just didn't get an answer about whether I'm supposed to flash it in recovery or not. I'm assuming I am.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
ok.
I thought you own a T Mobile SGH-T849
which is also a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 (SGT7).
Anyway, glad that there is a solution.
Ugh, sorry, I thought you were referring to the SGT7 rom in the developers area.
I flashed the fix, it worked.
Hey guys.
I was recently looking around in the Revo forums, and I heard about this "Thunderbolt script"?
I was wondering what it does and if it has any negative impacts on the phone Any risks?
Thank you!
I would not recommend crossing roms or mods. I accidently used the wrong one and let me tell you I almost threw my phone out the window. Lots of work getting the phone fixed.

I used the thunderbolt mod, it increased my battery life, also it slightly made it faster.
I used the thunderbolt mod and the only problem I had was Bluetooth crashing when I attempted to pair my phone with anything.

You can flash it over anything, there is just no guarantee it will work. It has fixed issues over many Roms for me though. I would make sure you haven't frozen any apps that stop Bluetooth from working though first (software update, stock music player).

Yeah leave the stock music.apk alone, unfortunately it's a critical part of the Revo/LG Android build. Your phone will not work properly without it.

i have only back cover from phone, no additional cover
yeah remove that as well and make a call
If it's not hardware related as nokiamodeln91 is figuring out, try a different modem:

Well I think initially choose a newer one, they've made improvements step by step, hopefully you just had a bad flash. Work it from there.
