[REQUEST]port an old palm pre theme to the recent version of android

hi all ,i love the theme of the palm pre that was created for cyanogenmod 3.9.7,can you port it?

Use theme-porter And choose the option where the theme is pre eclair and rom is post eclair.

i can't port a pre eclair theme to a post eclair theme it's written in the theme porter thread :
NOTE: For now u can only transfer themes from 2.0+ to 2.0+ roms and pre 2.0 to pre 2.0 roms. Big reason is because of the mdpi folders whereas before there was only one. Will implement it as soon as possible.

Check the last few pages. I released a beta that can.

if anybody does end up porting this would you be so kind as to post it this was my favorite theme a wile back untill it stopped getting updated

[Q] Suggest themes for CyanogenMod 7.2.0 RC5.6

Hi..I just flashed to CyanogenMod 7.2.0 RC5.6, any suggest the best themes for it?? and how to put themes in theme chooser..? I see there are 3 themes already in theme chooser but only one theme can be choose (default), other two cannot be choose..

Can I use themes from this link to flash it to CyanogenMod 7.2.0 RC5.6 and use it in theme chooser?

Yes Yuh Can Use These Theme But Yuh Dont Have To Flash It!!
These Are APK Files Just Install Nd Choose It From Theme Chooser!!=))

just go to android themes section in android development and choose any mdpi themes.they work fine on our device

But, will be better if that themes are LDPI themes..

Can I use this theme for my Galaxy Mini or not? I use cyanogenmod 7.2 RC 5.7. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1463798
And another question: Galaxy mini can support MDPI themes or not?

hey buddy just download theme from play store by typing CM7 THEME then change it in theme chooser and reboot......enjoy

Yes, you can use it normally. If it is LDPI it works fine with our device. I've read that mdpi themes do work but I never tried it. Give it a try

how to change my theme??

hey all!
i want to change my theme not my launcher but the phone theme
i had sensation and it had app that call themes and i could change them with themes that come with the rom or phone the note dont have theme changer?
it got only one theme that come with the rom?

??? anybody can help plz

thats because it doesnt use themes like htc sense, you might want to use google to see if there are themese available or not

from what i read here on xda, the SGN needs to be rooted first before custom themes can be applied...

If your phone is rooted and you have CWM recovery, you will probably find a flashable ZIP file in the themes section here:

I am not entirely sure if themes can be put on Stock ROMs though. Most of them are made for specific and popular custom ROMs. Good luck finding one.
If not, you are gonna have to use a different launcher to tend to your needs.

this might be a noob question
most of love the different thems that are present in cyanogen mod or aokp
since we do not have a FULLY BUG FREE cyanogen mod or aokp is there a way to run install the cm7 theams without the cyanogen mod
as we know we have a working cm 7 with bugs but the thems work without any problem in it. so is there any chance that the them chooser
integreated into other roms or just make them work without cm7

You cant do that
It is impossible
Because the themes integrate values and pngs in framework
Which will be incompatible on other devices

Theme engine is needed for proper working of themes which can run on supported framework-res.apk and systemui.apk.
For you, Simple answer is NO.

I don know HOW, but, it IS possible.
Not only by installing themechooser.apk and the themes (cyanbread.apk and androidian.apk), but modding a few system files.
CyanogenMod also has the capability ! !

Yes, but it would take a really long time, like six months of development. I guess no one would work on that.
I read somewhere that Theme Chooser is taken based on T-Mobile's rom source and CM team bring it for their source. Not sure if it is correct.

oh boy... if it'll be based on cm10, it will still use a theme, plus some additional apps that you can actually find yourself, dude... and framework, you can do it yourself too if you have tutorial... anyway, i'm sure that someone will do it, if it's not done yet
