Hi alltogether,
i'm using mobilesense 3.5.3 on windows mobile 6.5.3 with spb mobile 3.5.5. I wonder if there is a way to assign the launcher button to open the standard windows mobile menue you get when you press the "windows" button in the home menue?
I've searched the forum for an answer but apparently i'm to stupid to get some usefull information.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.

Hi,
This theme does not have simple method of assigning Launcher Button to execute other function, other than modifying program files through XML / Registry changes, which would be complicated.
Instead you can try another theme which has this function built in.

Hi,
Just like the HTC Home Plugin Customizer, does anybody know if there is any such utility for the dialer screen?
I would like to make my 3G dialer look different.
I have searched through the Windows folder and can find the icons for the dialer button for the 3G dialer but not for the Windows Mobile Dialer - anybody know where they are located?
Thank you.

Tiermann was working on something like HTC Customizer, but it's still under development. You can find more info here.
Thank you.
Greetings,
I was searching the forums looking for tools to change my today screen. In fact, I have found 1-Home Edit, but it doesn´t seem to work on my Kaiser.
tbh, I just want to change default colors and the background. Are there any utils that would do that ?
Thanks in advance,
search for htc home customizer
haam1978 - search for htc home customizer
He wants to customize his today screen as he said. He didn't say anything about wanting to customize the HTC Home plugin.
That´s right... for example, when I go to settings, today screen, and specify a background, it loads ok, but it appears like Im looking through a smoked glass... I even thought about editing some themes and saving them with the backgrounds I want, but that wouldn´t be pratical.
Reading the description of the 1-Home Edit tool, I found that that´s what I´m looking for, but it won´t work on the kaiser.
Any suggestions ?
In response to the OP, try reading this from microsoft. Personalize the Today/Home Screen.
Also,
Microsoft’s free desktop PC Theme Generator
ThemeMaker
VITO ThemeEditor
Spb Pocket Plus
PocketBreeze

The 1-Home Edit tool is for Windows Mobile Smartphone/Classic not for Windows Mobile Professional that the Tilt/TyTNII uses.
ok for putting your bakground do the next
open it by the windows photo viewer and then choose it from the option menue to be as a background and then you will get a transperant percent put it in 0 then you will see it as well
for changing the coloures of your bars i think any themes can do that
i hope this is what you mean
I had the same problem about the background, thanks for the info haam, it helped

I use WinCE cab manager to add/remove image files in the theme
but every theme has a ".tsk" file that determines the background, top bar, bottom bar colors, and sizing of tabs..etc
my question is how to edit the TSK file.. i used ThemeGenCE before with WM 6.1 but when i use it now with WM 6.5 i am able to change the background but all other stuff gets messed up
any theme editor for TSK files that work with 6.5?? (keeping top & bottom bar untouched?)
Thanks
Yeah, double-click the TSK, man!

I think that this will not work with 6.1 images. But, you can try to manually start the notificationmanager service using sktools. try to do it and tell me if it works.
how do i force it under sktools?

For instance, the black background may be solved by using the "htc black" theme. You can find it here on xda.
And, using any file manager, duplicate the following files:
NotificationManager.dll.0409.mui -> NotificationManager.dll.0415.mui
NotificationLayout.dll.0409.mui -> NotificationLayout.dll.0415.mui
Both files are located on \Windows. After duplicating these files, reboot. Copying these files should make english text work.
I will check if I can support polish on this cab.
Regards.
very good,Thanks

Thx, it works now. I have enbled temporary default blue wm 6.5 theme to have white backgrounds, but with dark elements it would be better.
I have tried to search for that htc black heme, but I have found just qvga version.
If someone have wvga version of HTC black theme, it would safe me from hours of searching

Do you mean that the whole thing does not work on 6.1 or just the Bubble? I was checking here on 6.1 emulator and the notification list (tapping on the title bar icons) works, only the styled bubble that does not work.
..nice work, looks nice.. works fine on my I8000 WM 6.5.3 rom...
it'd be great work, if you'd edit the icons to match the large indicator in htc style

I'm using this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=578889
Although the author is saying that it is QVGA, it works out-of-the-box for me.
I'm using currently WM6.5.3 ROM and I want to keep WM notification upper bar after tapping, and obtain only HTC notification pop-ups on the bottom of the screen
Is this possible?

Hi,
I have installed Spb Mobile Shell 3.5.5 on WM6.1 on HTC Touch (ELF) & using Onyx Micro ROM.
When I go to change theme, it doesn't change the theme leaving it to the default theme it came with. I just want to use plain "Black" theme that comes with Spb Mobile Shell 3.5.5.
Is there a way I can change some registry entry to force it to use the theme I want?
Cheers

a) Wrong post category!
b) There is a thread already for SPB issues!
c) You could have got better help there
d) Do a fresh install - it should start with default
SPB shell default = lifestyle screen, blue wall paper with black/blue background according to your 'today' theme.
Use any today theme which makes your phone 'black' or search for 'LIVENN themes' and install them. After that select Livenn Black.
Hope I have helped!
Thanks for the help mate.
I did a fresh install. Went to Launcher, Theme, Black. Nothing happens. I would like to start there before going with third party themes installations.
BTW where is the "Thread for SPB issues"? I searched but no joy.

One of the theme changers I use and I love it on my TG01! If you wish, you could try - simplest and quickest solution!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=578468
EDIT: Just realized you mentioned 6.1 winmo, I think link I posted for themes is 6.5 or higher, might not work!
Hope I've helped
EDIT 2: This might work - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=364541 for 6.1
Thanks. I think I am going to post in that thread as I think there is a problem with the SPB installation I have. The inbuilt color theme functionality is not working and I just need the registry setting or a setting in the file which forces it to use Black or Maroon or Gold... theme.

If you want to force Black to be used you have to go to "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Color\MultiColorTheme" search for "BaseColor1" key and replace the original value with 0 and then do a soft reset.
