more details would be nice
I don't quite understand what you're asking either. Perhaps you mean ROOT not ADP, either way this line "all i did to my fone was wait a couple days i got ADP" makes no sense. Gaining ROOT is something you must DO, not something you wait for. Once you have ROOT you should be able to install custom ROMS (JF's, ADP, HERO, ION etc), then install THEMES that are compatible with whichever ROM you have installed.

T-mobile G1 to ROGERS HELP PLZ

Hi guys
i had a rogers htc dream. i have used to the one click guide and haykuro methods to root my phone with cyanagen rom. however my phone is running extremely slow for some reason and i would have to force close all the application everytime. the only way to make it work is to uninstall and reinstall and reboot and use them for an hour and start force closing again.
while i was browsing i came to find out abt Super Dwang. some people are sayings it stable and fast. so i decided to try it. so i also wanted to get the new recovery Aman-Ra. once i installed that recovery...i was no longer able to go in recovery mode or start my phone. it would remain stuck on ROGERS logo. no matter what i tried didnt help. in desperation and by panicing i used the method on code.google.com to unbrick my phone. which led me to download DREAM.nbh and update that. little did i know once i have done that i ended up on T-mobile G1 with 1.0 firmwire and the original SPL. noting i could think of worked. i did reasearch one for last 5 hours and no help. so i have no choice to but post a thread in hope for a solution. i do want to mention was able to go to firmwire 1.1 with rc033 if that helps. i wanan go back to original HTC DREAM they way it came from rogers with 1.5 cupcake. if i want to root again i will do it later. also how do u upgrade radio i cant seem to do anything. please help.....i dun have a spare phone!!! i can make call but i am just so disappointed....please someone help me! i am a noob at this!
relax
At least its still running. I rooted my t-mobile under nearly the same circumstances (v1.1 etc) using the gold card hack. Youre a noob? So keep reading until you know what youre doing. Im at work atm. Maybe i can help when i get home. But 5 hours waiting is nothing. Dont force it. You could try it in the #android irc channel at freenode, meanwhile.
hey sHR00m thnaks alot. but i was able to go back to the root mode with cyanoge. what i did is i used to flashrec to back up and then flashed cyanoge 1.4 and at that point i was able to goto recovery mode and i used my laptop to put donut and latest cyanogen rom in the sd card and did a full wipe and installed. however when it loads it still says t-mobile g1 no that i care. i was able to use 3g from rogers! (it also returned me to original radio). but then i installed the amon-ra recovery and installed it (btw its amazing) and i flashed superD rom (super dwang) and its amazingly smooth! but i have 2g...dont have option for 3g and even with 2g i cant access the interent at all...no edge noting. i can only use WIFI.... with cyanogen latest rom its darn slow everything keeps force closing. apps dont run properly.....id unno why. there are many who are like its wow fast and me i am not getting the speed. i dunno what to do....can anyone plz help? i need 3g back or otherwise return to cyanogen but need to have speed and stability....
ah glad you made it back. no idea about the radio thing tho. im sure the information you need is out there but dont mess with the radio until you get it.
hey thanks...so right now i am on dwangs latest rom....and although i wasnt able to go on interent with my provider. i manually put in the apn's and to surf on 3g however with the dwang rom i cant seem to make it work for app2sd. i mean i created a partition and when i load i dun see a second part for my sd. and when i am installing apps it uses internal storage but not full but a partial. for example i installed a 4 mb app but i saw a 2 mb decrease on internal storage.

Q. About Download/Recovery

Hey Everyone..
Ive always been able to get into both download and recovery mode...but when I was going to apply a ROM to my phone i checked it and now i cant access either of them....
I havent flashed a new firmware or used ROMS or anything yet....it seems like it just stopped working?
Have i done anything to disable it or something????
Should i just do the FIX (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=785201) to get it back working or is there something else i can do...
I have Froyo 2.2
Baseband-HVJP3
Build-FROYO.HVJP4
Thanks
i would suggest you do the fix, but be patient and read properly, cause one little mistake will brick your phone, and you wont be able to get into download mode to fix it.
i have no idea why your problem has arisen, thats very strange.
perhaps you should invest in a USB JIG as well. a very life saving tool
ahh k then.....
Maybe i should try wiping and reseting my galaxy s ?.. maybe ive installed something that blocks it?
Anyways thanks for your help
