This is definitely the one thing I miss from my original Droid.

Mine seemed fairly loud once I turned the "Alarm volume" all the way up and told it not to use the increasing volume option.
i dont see alarm volume. either way the ear piece volume is low as is the speakerphone volume... would be nice to have a hack to increase it. if this fixes the alerts that would hold me over till a hack hits for this.
where is the increasing volume option.

It's the volume check box in the alarm options.
first day I used droid x as an alarm i was late for work because the sound was so low
Unchecking "use increasing volume" made it better
I suggest buying one of those cheap Ipod/Iphone speaker setups they sell at walmart for like $9 and just hook up to the audio jack if you're gonna use it as an alarm
Bump because I wanna know if it can be increased

Ok i found the increasing volume setting. Go to your alarm clock, hit add alarm and the the increasing volume setting is just past halfway

I'd like to see a increase in the volume of the earpiece. It's a bit difficult at times to hear some people talk on phones that have microphones that are a bit on the low side.

You have to click on the alarm that your trying to activate and its the second to last click-able option before "Done" & "Revert".
I'd love to see a volume hack. When music or ringtones are playing, I think the volume level is satisfactory but sometimes there are certain apps and movies that have lower than normal sound levels and it would be nice to temporarily boost the speaker. Maybe a speaker mod is in order, here
Is there a hearing impaired option in the phone settings? Some android phones have that and it increases volume. Another method is for someone to mod the kernel to accomplish this (which has been done on other phones like the EVO)
I know its not a hack, but the app Quick Settings allows you to control all of the volume settings individually. Its really nice.
Motorola has finally acknowledged this problem and has stated that a fix will be included in a future software update (probably Froyo)...
Go to settings go to sound and display go to media audi effects phone speaker make sure enable audio effects go to equalizer to desired setting
not a fix but seems to help
For alarm volume.
While in the first menu of the alarm screen press the "Menu" button. Then select the "setting" button. Alarm volume is the second option down.
Hi everyone,
When I'm listening to music or just working hands free on my HD7 using the HTC ear bud headphones, the incomming call ringtone sounds through the headphones as well as the phone speaker.
To hear music in a noisy environment I need to keep the volume up high, this means an incomming call will blow my ear drums off because it plays through the headphones.
Is this meant to happen? Can I set it to only vibrate and ring the pc speaker, or even reduce the volume of the ring but let media play at higher volume?
I would really appreciate some input from other users on thus issue.
Thanks,
QZ
Hey guys, do any of you know if it is possible to route the ringer to the speaker when the I have earphones plugged in? I have missed a few calls because of this and quite frankly it is getting a bit annoying. I have set it to vibrate at all times however I still miss some calls now again. Anyone know of a fix?
What ROM do you use? Many have settings options for this. I am on 10/9 AOKP and my phone sets itself to vibrate for calls & notifications automatically when I plug in headphones.

I'm on stock right now. I've tried looking for something that could do it on stock however my I haven't found anything.
Is there any way to set different volumes for both the ringer and notifications? I hate loud text tones, but I need to be able to hear my phone if it rings. Any stand alone app? I'm using the att moto x.

So when I'm playing music with my screen off whenever I tap the volume up, out increase to max. When pressing volume down once it mutes volume.
Can't figure out how to fix this
