Do a google search for "how to disassemble HD2" and look for videos. It's not rocket science, but one mistake and you could have a useless phone on your hands.

Wing Phone Pad Please :)

Just saw the wings phone pad and I gata have it the buttons are made for my fingers You guys think it will work on the Hermes ? Thanks
No one can hook me up ??? Im sure its in the EXT-ROM some where. Please Please Please.
It's not bad, but I'd rather have the ETEN Dialer. Does anyone know if they've got it working on Windows Mobile 6?

Eten works on the hermes and wizard with WM6
Still no one can make a cab for this or something ?
I wouldn't mind ETEN dialer either but it has no smart dial popup list. bummer.
The default skin on the Wing is ok, but nothing great. I changed it to the HTC Dial Pad as soon as I got the device. Seems to run a little faster, it has bigger buttons, and looks a lot cooler. I don't have the exact link, but Google it and I'm sure you can find it.

Best one-handed keypad / keyboard?

Hi all,
First off, my first post here, so be gentle .
I'm looking for a keypad or keyboard to install on my Vario III so that I can type SMSes with one hand whilst on the London Underground. As good as the keyboard is, it requires two hands to be usable.
I've used the HTC Diamond keypad / keyboard pack that's on these boards, and another one after following a rabbit hole, and although they do as I want, they removed another functionality: Whilst typing on the real keyboard, I lost the word/ name suggestion box whilst typing! I find this box very useful, not least in the names section, and don't want it gone.
So, in brief, can you guys recommend a one-handed keypad for SMSing, which doesn't lose that word suggestion box functionality?
Many thanks guys!
Hi,
I tried thumbkey but it is a little buggy
Touchpal (especially the last Version, 3.0) is perfect for me...
Hi szdavid,
just had a little go on touchpal now using the trail version, and although the suggestion box was there, I'm more of an 'oldie' when it coems to texting i.e. dislike T9 or any predictive texting, and it took a couple of different areas to get one char up (choose the button, then the character).
I'll try the other one once I get up tomorrow. Thanks though, and any other suggestions out there?
If I were you, I would get the Touch Diamond Keypad.
It is just like it is on a regular phone. I will attach the CAB as well as the other Touch Diamond Keyboard.
The .CAB in this attachment is all 3 Touch Diamond Keyboards. 1 is Qwerty and 1 is the Keyboard and the other is the Keypad.

I've tried that one, and I loved it, except for the fact that I lost the suggestion box above the cursor, which is important to me (which is why I uninstalled it).
Is there something like that, except without the loss of that functionality, please?

did you hit the ABC<->T9 toggle button second in from the left on the bottom row, it seems to give me exactly what you want..
I running the qwerty keyboard for info !!!
tengo thumb gets my vote.

I might try that Tengo one, and Jerwick, I did press that button, but it still didn't give me back the suggestion box.. I'm not sure you know which one i mean...
I think it's the keypad /board's own predicter that's causing the problem and stopping the cursor suggesttion box...
any tips?
I do know what you are talking about. On some occasions, it doesn't work for me either. It has some flaws- but other than that, it's about as basic as you can get.
pie, I never got it to work unfortuneatly, and I guess I use the inline thingy mor than the one-handy thingy
guess that means that there isn't one with the same great functionality as that diamond one, then
ive actually started using the full keyboard one handed. slide it out and type with one hand, its hard to get used to.

You're good, I can barely type on the Tilt keyboard sitting on the table with cut fingernails. I just can't get used to the feel, travel, feedback..... something.
OH, ANd THis ANoys ME TOo if I type too fast.
Right now, I'm using the resco keyboard which has already been mentioned.
I was wondering if there was one similar to that with bigger buttons? It would make texting while doing other stuff much easier using both thumbs.
Sometimes hitting the right key with the resco board is difficult as well.
Coudl we get the Diamond keyboard .CAB on another server? Please, we cant access megaupload in this country.

its in my signature under Cabs, Keyboards
There is nothing better than the Touchpal once you learn to use it period.

Touchpal is the best for me hands down...
It offers several input methods ranging from QWERTY to T9...
And you can skin it very easily.

It's been on my 4shared the entire time.
it seems like there are a lot of avodcates for the touchpal one, which I did like, but wasn't entirely happy with...
I might end up with it because it's the nest of the lot that I've been recommended, that and maybe the resco one
+1 TouchPal for me

"Phone Keypad" from Diamond 1?

Could anyone recommend any "phone keypad" - like the one came preinstalled in D1?
The one with 10 buttons: 1 2ABC 3DEF etc.
Or any alternatives?
Thank [email protected]
Do you not like the one on the D2? I'm sure there is a CAB outh there for the HD. I don't have time to search for it though. That shoud work perfect.
My thumbs are slightly too big for the d2 keypad.
really sad to see they removed both suretype and phone keypad
i will have a look for the one on hd

There are three different keypads in D2. Default is "Full QWERTY", but you can select Phone Keypad or Keyboard (with ctrl button) if you hold the little up-arrow next to the tiny keyboard icon at the bottom of the screen. It appears every time you have an input field in focus, or when writing text messages, mail, etc... Context menu pops up with all different keypads.
search for FingerKeyboard v2.1 for WVGA
its the best out there

The D2 does have the key pad. That is what I was asking about... LOL.... My thumbs are big I bite my nails clear off all my fingers and still can type with the full qwerty.
So everytime I hear the excuse of big thumbs I like to call BS.

haha i think this is rom specific
i have a hong kong ver. d2 it only has a full qwerty with other chinese inputs.
what roms are you using?
or would i be able to install any extracted d2 keyboard cabs instead of flashing it?
you should be able to DL the diamond 2 keyboard CAB. Actually I have on. Will post it up.
Please note I did not make this cab. I found it when searching for the keyboard for my Elfin. I cannot find the source I got it from or would post it. It was from someone who extracted all the programs from the D2.
Never mind. The CAB was on my other HD wich crashed a few weeks ago. Sorry but cannot find the CAB files online. It was on everythingdiamond.inf but it seems they have lost them when they swiched servers. not sure if it would have worked because they ported them for VGA use. I do think they had the origial WVGA cab available too.

Change TP2's keyboard layout to tilt 2????

I installed Energy Leo ROM on my tilt 2 and that thing is absolutely GREAT!!!
I have one problem, i text alot and the ROM i installed was for the TP2 and it has a different keyboard layout so my keys don't match, any one that can help???
tilt2.blownfuze.org/rhodium/Tilt2HWKeyboard.cab
please use the search function next time
Obviously search is the first thing anyone tries.
I have searched for 3 hours for a fix and have found several CABs, none of which have fixed my keyboard layout. This one doesn't work either. The entire top row of my TP2's keyboard is numbers. When I hit the numbers (even after installing any of the above-mentioned CABs), different symbols come up like @_!()'":/.
Anyone have a fix for a new RHOD210 Touch Pro from T-Mobile? I bought it this week and have been looking for days for a fix. Any way of modifying it myself?

That fixes my Home Key going to the Start Menu, but the keyboard is still not laid out right.
Can someone maybe extract the Keyboard Map DLL from the stock Tmobile ROM so we can just replace it? I'm not sure if the needed file is SbdNopAll.dll or what...
Works great in a blink of an eye, thanks alot xredjokerx!!!

[Q] Chinese T5353 Clone with standard wm6.1 keyboard... Ineed a BIGGERone

Hello
I am not sure if this is the right thead since my phone is a chinese cloned one... but I hope you guys can help me out.
I know there are some T5353 with a (+) or (-) sign at the end. Mine just has T5353 written down on the back without any sign.
It has wm6.1 installed and the keypad is the very tiny one that comes with the standard rom. I would like to have bigger keys. After browsing for a while I found a CAB with the original keypad for the Topaz. I got it installed but man... it was HUGE!! I was only able to see a couple keys taking up the whole screen.... so I ended up uninstalling it. I have a WQVGA 400x240 screen.
Is there a cab or a way to change it? make it easier to type?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks!
anyone please?
