I think you should use JP6 version... someone can correct me if I'm wrong
Hello There,
I am not able to upgrade my Google Nexus One phone from android version 2.3.1 to 2.3.4. I did get the latest version under system updates i.e. "Nexus One update to Gingerbread MR2". The file size is 87.6 MB. After I downloading the file it showing a message saying that your phone is up to date. When I rebooted my phone it showing the same old version 2.3.1.
I even tried doing factory reset and tried downloading but did not succeeded. Can you please help me out to upgrade my phone from 2.3.1 to 2.3.4 manually or through air. Please find the below details of my phone.
Model Number: Nexus One
Android Version: 2.3.1
Baseband Version: 32.50.00.32U_5.12.00.08
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-59410-gba07db7 [email protected]#1
Build Number: MicroMod v.20 (AOSP GINGERBREAD 2.3.1)
Network/Carrier/Phone Provider: Vodafone (India)
IMEI: 354957031663456
S/N: HT9CWP816225
P/N: 99HKE002-00
Any help would be truly appreciated!
Thanks
Prasad
I am not sure I fully understand what you are trying to accomplish, but it seems like you are trying to upgrade to the latest official android release, right?
If so, it won't work. You need to get the newer version of MicroMod and use that to update. You should just be able to flash it over your current install without any wiping required.
I need help. I need to restore my cell to stock rom for warranty purposes. My phone was originally flashed:
Baseband version: N7000UBKK1
- Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-N7000UBKK2-CL705203
I need to revert my phone to the original rom. I was able to download (rapidshare) n7000ubkk1 but it only came as tar format and when I flashed it with odin, my phone was stuck on a boot loop: samsung logo and blue space startup.
Before doing that, I did flash a stock rom through odin: N7000ZSKK1 (hong kong) which came in 3 files, modem, csc and code. I think this has changed the radio on my cell. My cell is bought from claro phone company in Dominican republic but the original rom came with brazillian version n7000ubkk1.
please send me a link to download the Baseband version: N7000UBKK1
- Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-N7000UBKK2-CL705203 so I can restore my cell through odin. thanks.

If you need the warranty so as to send it in to Samsung for your boot loop, you can just download the latest firmware and then re-flash it with odin. Most of the time this works. No harm giving it a try first. Anyway, you can find the collection of firmwares at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997 if you really need to get it back to stock. Actually all stock firmwares should not void your warranty if i'm not mistaken.
I have the same phone with the
Baseband version: N7000UBKK1
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-N7000UBKK2-CL705203

mae yo tengo uno con esa version y nunca me ha llegado ninguna actualizacion.. a ud le ha llegado alguna?
I have a N7000 with UBBK1
Looked up my phone's Baseband and found this forum.
If someone still needs this stock ROM, I'm happy to help.
Unfortunately, I'm as noob as they come, so I would need step by step instructions to extract the image and then I would gladly post it online.
Try this link here for stock UBKK ROM:

Worked for me every single time when I was on Gingerbread trying out several Galaxy Notes (had to keep returning them because the dreaded screen tint changing problem).

You are a gentleman and a scholar, my hat is off to you.
Also, impatient as I am, I'm now flashing using the step-by-step instructions in your other post.

What exactly are you trying to do? Update through Skies?
You could get on stock KK4 (Gingerbread) with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18370912&postcount=3
But before you do so, you have some reading to do!
Oh and once unlock, always unlock. You don't have to worry about your sim being locked (and in the worse case, remove it before doing the reset).
I've searched the forums but to no avail, so I'll just ask this here. I'm interested in changing the ROM of my Xperia X8 (E15a). With S1Tool I checked whether I could unlock the bootloader of my device, however the certificate is not recognized so that's a no-go for me. For this reason I'm stuck with stock kernels only.
Here is my device info:
Code:
Model number: E15a
Firmware version: 2.1-update1
Baseband version: M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404006
Kernel version: 2.6.29 [email protected] #1
Compilation number: 2.0.1.A.0.47
Here's when it gets confusing. All the ROMS I find here on xda say that I should use a baseband that ends in 015 and if I don't have that baseband, I should update with PC Companion to the latest one. PC Companion says that my device is already up to date, so I can't get another baseband. So I thought of trying flashing with FlashTools a baseband that actually ends with 015. However I read that that basebands work with specific kernels, so my best guess is that I should find a baseband for kernel 2.6.29, right? Well, I'm out of luck cause I can't seem to find that thing.
So, basically the question is: How do kernels and basebands are related and what should I do if for instance I want to install this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1079463... should I flash a older kernel for which a baseband with 015 does exists or what?
Thanks in advance
