Themes Inquiry.... Help

First off, thanks to everyone at this forum. Your input is invaluable for the total 8125 experience....!!!!
My question is this: How come only the default themes that come with my 8125 , and the ones I downloaded from Microsoft seem to work correctly??
I have a Dell Axim, and I used to install all kinds of themes and it worked great. My 8125 doesnt even change the backround image .. even though I try to change my themes in the Today settings dialog.

i have a similiar problem
themes change sometime, but at other itmes they dont
and even if they do. the top and bottom bar remain gray.
wheras in microsoft themes they're perfect

New Animated Splash w/ Sound! XDA Custom!

Hey Guys, I'm fairly new to XDA but I love all the work you guys do! I thought I'd try and contribute something too, so here it is!
Here are two animated gifs I made (one customized for myself , the other for xda) along with the sound file. You can download the files individually if you want to install manually, but the cab file I made should work otherwise. Have fun and let me know what you think!

Thanks for the work. Do we need anything specific to run this? WM 5,6,6.1?

I made it for my 6.1 rom, but I believe it should work for at least WM 6, as that is what my tilt originally came with.

Did anyone find if the cab works on other devices?

I'm curious if it would be a easy task to modify the initials to match my own "SBB" ? I would bet others would like to do this also. Thank you!

Unfortunatly it is not an easy task to edit the letters. However, I did use gimpshop to make this animations. If you have downloaded gimpshop (freeware photoshop like app) you can open the gif in gimp and edit it there. I use the built in rippling animation to make the frames with rippling letters. Once again though, this is not an easy task as it is quite difficult manuevering in gimpshop. But that is why I included a xda one, so everyone could use that and show off our great site

I just noticed that on some ROM's the animation is interrupted by the windows mobile screen flashing in the background. Does anyone know how to fix this so that the animation is smoother?

i need help customizing !!!!!!!!!

hey guy newbie here. will like to know what i need to be able to ne need customize my today screen and also landscape. dont bash me. new at this HTC WM thing. PLEASE HELP QUICK!!!!!!!

The best place to start you off would be the Raphael wiki. Read up. Also visit the Raphael forum for tips and tricks/tweaks.

I'd love to help you....but your request is really broad. Try to narrow it down a little...like applications that can perform specific tasks. The amount of customization you can do to a WM device is almost limitless. If you don't have any in mind right now...look around....check some forums out online. I'm sure you'll come across applications that would make you go...'hmmm....I'd like to have that' That's where xda devs comes in

what kind of customization are u looking for? Are u trying to get a completly new theme? Remove some tabs from the touch flo? You need to be more specific about about what you would like to customize. Like what are you exactly looking to do?

for now i would like to know how to redu a whole new theme

Get diamond tf3d config. Browse the diamond forums for themes. Install them via diamond tf3d config if it's a file that ends in .theme. Some of them will be cabs, which you just install. On my phone, I installed a .theme file, then a cab to change the clock, and then a cab to hide the top curtain... all of which I found in the diamond forums. Lot's of good information for customizing in the diamond forums. Anything else specific you want to customize, just do a search.

ok i got Diamond TF3D Config. working. But what do i do from here. It has no themes.

looking for a theme

ok i have the htc touch pro for alltel and i was wondering what i all need to make a "simple black" theme. i found some apps and stuff but wondering if we could discuss what all is needed for this to happen over the whole phone...thanks!

so far i have gotten this far. i cant go any further because i think i need to do some manila editing and have no idea how to do that. this is what i got so far with cab files and apps

Tilt 2 TF3D Theme/Appearance

Hi All,
Many of you have posted great themes and way to better the look of the TF3d and I had used many different thing to customize my device but there one thing I wasn't able to figure out:
When opening a contact card or message from the TF3D I still get the AT&T ugly blue theme.
My TF3D is using Dark_Metal Theme so how can I make the rest use the same theme.
