Flashed Cognition 3.04 over the weekend. Love it!
Just one problem, any time I get an incoming call, the phone will ring and then the app will crash. Users go to 3rd party voicemail, so I can get messages. I can dial out without a problem.
SMS and other data seems to work fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm on ATT in the US.
Well, I just saw this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=926513
I did a search - didn't see that.
Looks like I'm reflashing.
I think I know the answer, but I'll ask anyway...do I really need to go back to stock, root and reflash, or can I just reflash since I'm flashing the same ROM?
Reflashed Cognition and everything is golden.

Allow me to introduce you to my friends the comma (,) and the period (.).
Yikes...
sorry, was in a hurry
sorry was in a hurry when i typed this.
Now,
let me introduce to you the "Shift" key; sandwiched conveniently on both left & right sides of your keyboard!
Back to the issue,
I'd attempt a complete 100% wipe, including going back to past FW that you didn't have issues with and go from there. Alas, I'm not quite knowledgeable in this particular aspect of the G1.
Lets just hope you aren't missing a particularly urgent phone call.
Ok, Other than my grammar.
I got thedude 1.5 cupcake running.
My issue is my sister-inlaw has verizon and is unable to connect to me.
She gets no ring but I do; Then I am able to hear her but not vise-versa!!!
I didn't think my Grammar mattered when i was having an issue and wanted to get my post up ASAP so #@$% you very much for the help!!!
Sounds like a network-network issue rather than your phone being rooted. Were you able to talk to your sister-in-law fine before you rooted your phone (if you even did)?
network to network
Yes up till I flashed the radio I had no problems. After flashing I have many connection issues mostly with incoming calls. I have no problem calling back who ever calls me; Just
With incoming as far as I can tell. I know the network is flawed but i'd like to have the incoming working again. As of this post I'm running the dudes cupcake 1.0 themed with ba class 6 8 gig with 7000 m split ext2 rest apps to sds and 188 apps and latest radio via jf updater. Thx for the help.

Use the NBH file.
NBH
I've used rc29 NBH. The one to root, not sure what other one to get or use.
I've also fladhed the radio back with the jf 33 radio file. Still no luck! No incoming calls, people who call don't hear a ring but I do I try to answer and I can hear them but they can't here me or anything. I love my phone but would like to use it for calls! Thx
unroot your phone and talk to t-mo about it. when i first read the issue it seemed like it was only one person who couldn't hear you so i would have said their phone sucked, but if no one can here you then the odds of everyone else's phone sucking is pretty slim. try unrooting to see if it helps. also did you check the baseband ounder "about phone" after each radio flash? might have a problem there.
p.s. to those worried about capitalization screw off, but for future reference commas and periods are good
Hi there folks. I got a Bell Samsung Galaxy i9000M about a month ago or so. Initially, I was very disappointed that Android 2.2 wasn't available. After some digging through these forums, I discovered Doc's Froyo ROM thread and read that some people on Bell had used this successfully. I followed the instructions from his thread (am currently uisng Doc's Froyo v7.6.2 JPO, and my phone is rooted as well). Ever since I changed firmware to Doc's v7.6.2 Froyo versus the original Bell UGJH2 (i believe that's what it was called) Android 2.1, my phone auto rejects all incoming calls.
What happens is that any time someone calls my phone by calling my phone #, my phone rings once, then the call is rejected (the phone I call from says it got rejected), and on my Galaxy S, I lose network signal completely (3G/phone signal) for a few seconds when this happens.
Is this a known issue with the ROM I am using.. do I have some sort of option turned on that I shouldn't? I need some help here. Is this something my phone carrier (Bell) is doing cause I hacked the phone?
To clarify, I am perfectly able to make outgoing calls to phone numbers, and I am able to browse internet with 3G/HSPA just fine using Bell's network. Before I did the upgrade to this Froyo ROM, I was not experiencing this issue. I hope someone here can point me in the right direction, I really need to get this fixed because right now, no one can call me.
Really, no replies? There's no one else that has had this issue? I want to flash my phone to the new-er Froyo JPK3 that's supposed to be for Bell.. anyone have a clue whether that should fix it? What about just doing a factory reset?
i have the same problem, different carrier though, german o2
i think it might be cuz of a wrong CSC
i reflash now and report back
My initial guess was that my ROM is not suited for my phone/carrier.. but since I was able to make outgoing calls, use 3G and send/receive texts, I dismissed that idea. Especially since there were other people using Doc's v7.6.2 on Bell with supposedly success results.
So what I did was I went into Clockwork Recovery Mode, and did a factory reset. Now my phone works fine. Beats me what the problem was. Must've been some app I installed I guess.
i had the same problem. i did what you did. factory reset. then used titanium backup to restore all my apps and system settings. thank God for titanium backup lol.
I happens to me too from the 1st time i flash my phone to froyo.. u need to reinstall the correct csc. After a clean flash insert your sim card then dial *#272*IMEI No.# then choose the right csc of your phone. It will make a factory reset after the installation of new csc.
Hi,
I have updated to Froyo 2.2.1 unofficial version I think, and now I cannot get my voicemail to work.
I have contacted Optus and they say everything is working from there end, but it still doesn't work.
Once I go into call forwarding it always say's disabled, it then refreshes to say that forwarding to voicemail box etc. If I back out of the screen then go back in it the same thing happens everytime!!
I think I have stuffed my phone by updating. Can anyone help as I really need my voicemail to work!!
Can I revert back to Froyo 2.2 maybe???
Somehow it has fixed itself overnight!!
Hey guys,
so recently I rooted my 2-week old Incredible S, and I installed Cyanogen on the phone. Everything works flawlessly, except for the fact I can't hear or talk when I or someone else makes a call, it's just awkardly quiet.
I can make the call though, but the clock keeps on ticking without me hearing something. All sound is on maximum and speaker-mode doesn't help either. Nor do I block the microphone or anything like that.
I tried everything like removing battery, SIM-card but even a factory reset didn't work. When I call with Skype it does work, I can talk and hear. Other applications that use sound or voice also work.
Does anybody have any advice?

Since CM7.1 is a Gingerbread ROM, you now need to flash a Gingerbread radio, too.
So that's it? Oh god, I'm relieved! I already spent hours and hours on the internet searching for some bug or faulty app.
Thanks for the fast reply!
Hm, so I finished installing a new Gingerbread radio on the phone by using some of the links on this page. Now I can't connect to any service or mobile provider.
Am I doing something wrong again? I already tried almost all of those gingerbread radio's.
EDIT: It seems like the problem fixed itself. All that was needed was a simple reboot, and now my connection is way better than before.
I'm glad it's finally working now!

When you first set up CM 7, which service provider did you pick? Have you tried running the CM 7 setup again or do a system reset to force CM 7 to go through the setup again?
Is this a branded IncS and if so, which carrier?
After I rooted, im not receiving any text messages. But i know i can send messages. I could also make and receive phone calls. Ive tried using a sense rom to update prl and profile which updated but still not receiving text messages. Anyone have any ideas why?

Try sending the text 'Allow all' without the parentheses to 9999
Sent from Dorian's EVO 3D
Tried. Didnt seem to have worked. any more suggestions?
If the "allow all" text didn't work, and using a sense rom to update prl/profile doesn't work - I would suggest downloading the RUU and reverting completely back to stock. See if it works then, if it does root with z4 or w/e you like and go back to the rom/nandroid you had before.
if it doesn't work call sprint or bring it in to one of their stores
Also, just wondering; you do have plenty of free space on your phone right? People seem to get really weird problems when their phone is running low on internal storage.
And do you use google voice for voicemail?
And what, if anything, did you do at or around the time it started acting up? (ie installed new apps, flashed new kernel, etc.)

Question1: Yeah i have plenty of space no apps installed.
Question2:Yeah i use google voice. but is not set up right now since i just rooted.
Question3: First noticed no messages being received when i rooted i believe.
Guess illl try to the RUU and see if that works.
Used RUU. Still not being able to receive messages. going to have to contact Sprint.
Try useing a different RUU if your going to doit again, see if that works...just a thought. Later

I have been having problems receiving texts as well ever since I installed a new ROM (this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090234) 2 days ago.
All functions seem to work fine, including outgoing text messages, but incoming do not work at all.
I had been running Cyanogen Mod 6 for about a year without any problems except speed, just wanted to try a newer and possibly faster ROM. I did have issues whenever I would get a "low space" indicator but that doesn't seem to be the case with the current issue.
I am using Google Voice for voicemail.
My service provider is Cellular South, btw, not Sprint.
Ran the RUU but still didnt work. so i updated to newest build and still didnt work. still havent had a chance to call Sprint.

Problem Solved. Since sprint merged with google my settings where changed and were set to receive text messages to google voice and not my phone. If anyone else has this problem just go to your account in google voice settings and make sure that theres a check mark next to receive text to phone. thanks to all for the help =)

That didn't work for me
Of course, I'm not on Sprint, but Cellular South. Still no joy on my end. I actually reverted back to my previous CyanogenMod via Nandroid, which WAS receiving text messages just fine, but now it doesn't work either.
I have the original Cell South 2.1 RUU I could use if necessary, but hoping not to have to do that. Looking like I might have to, though.
Finally got it up and running.
I was about to run the 2.1 RUU but then remembered I made a Nandroid backup of my 2.1 Sense-based config before the first time I rooted so I restored to it and dialed *228 to download the latest updates. The texts then started working, so then I reverted back to my Nandroid backup of my new ROM and it worked like a charm!
