Maybe this has already been discovered but if you press and hold the volume down button and then press the n button it will capture the screen images.

My i9100 built-in Screen Capture Service default output is png format. How can I change it to jpeg format?

Hi,
When I try to do a print screen using menu + volume down, the picture that is captured includes the "silence ringtone" window that pops up (relating to the pressing of the volume key). Can the display of volume be switched off?
Also, is there any way to select different key combinations? I am using a soft key for menu (Button Savior), and hitting that with the volume down key is more miss than hit - about 2 in 25 attempts!
BTW, I am using MIUI 1.8.5 ROM.
TIA
Elkay
I even cannot do screen shot by using Menu+Volume- buttons. Actually I want to know if there is a way to define sofkey in Button Savior.

I haven't been able to repeat a capture, but I have 2 screenshots as evidence it is possible.
I haven't found any way of defining a softkey in Button Savior.

FYI, pressing the power button first and then home button at the same time will take a screenshot. The screen will flash white and it will save it in a "Captured Images" folder
I got annoyed with reaching over our huge screen to press the back button, so I made a mod to re-map the half keypress of the hardware camera button to a back key. Holding the camera button from the home screen still launches the camera app correctly and pressing the camera button all the way still takes a picture as normal. To focus you can tap on the screen instead.

Well, I'm at a loss. I think it's a Windows EOL problem, but I've recreated the updater script in linux and it doesn't fix it. Here's the actual file:

Does anybody know how to get the Power button to activate the camera shutter? I know you can't do it in the stock firmware, but maybe there's a way to edit gpio-keys.kl or a mod that could be flashed. I'm aware you can set the volume button to the shutter, but I would prefer to have them control zoom and the power button control the shutter.
