Im running MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 and i was not able to run Car Home (Carkit from google) Now i found something i wanna share for people who likes google car home. I found 2 apk files and when i run them bouth its working well. Please dont ask me how or that its not working for you. If its works for you be happy, if not find something else.

Hello,
I am making this thread for my next ROM which is being released soon. It is based on a leaked chinese version of Android 2.2 for Wildfire. I have managed to boot it (albeit with most hardware not yet working). I am removing the chinese apps and adding things like the android market and multiple languages, as well as looking into the hardware problems to fix.
First impressions so far are that Froyo is fast even with Sense, I didn't experience any lag yet.
What to expect when the ROM comes:
*Root
*FroYo
*System apps relocated to /data/app_s (like in KiljackenROM)
*Android Market
*Flash Player (Flash Lite, NOT 10.1)
Looking forward to getting this ROM working fully for you guys and releasing it
To do:
*Fix Wifi
*Fix Bluetooth
*Fix Sensors
*Fix Camera (or at least try to)
*Fix FM Radio
*Add APNs
*Add HTC Facebook & Twitter (FriendStream)
NOTE : THREAD TEMPORARILY CLOSED WILL OPEN WHEN JACOB IS READY WITH HIS NEW ROM

Cant wait to see some screenshots, even if camera never worked, froyo runs great on our "poor" tattoo. Would love to see sense on 2.2 ,even if it slows a phone a little bit, never mind, but then maybe you will allow for some OC in the kernel?

Is it just me, or on the newest build of CM7 on the Galaxy s, when using Gingerbread Launcher, the icons are blurred (not sharp). Have not tried any other launcher as yet, can someone confirm this
Yeah, you are correct. Ever since the build from the 20th actually. May have something to do with the new video drivers?
Try submitting this in the Cyanogenmod 7 thread, it's a legitimate concern as it worked fine in the past.

I have a colleague with Nexus S, and his screen off animation, the one that looks like you're turning off an old TV, is awesome! If someone could port that to O2x, I'd be a very happy man
I can tell from forum searches that this has been requested for other models as well, but I assume a port to one model does not necessarily work for another model..

It was in CyanogenMod for most devices, like HTC HD2 but i cant seem to find it in the LG O2X version..

That was close! I'd still want to use the physical button to lock my screen, and also the Old TV-style was not as good as Google's. The Static TV was cool though
But thanks anyway! I'm testing WGSpoelstra's Gingerbread Edition v1.4.2 (CM7 .17) now. Maybe it'll be there?

Update: Turns out this didn't work too well for me.. I think I'll just have to live with out it, at least until someone compiles a working version for o2x!

The screen off/on animation works perfectly in the latest CM Nightly and it's 'turned on' by default
That screen off and lock works fine, also translated to Dutch by yours truly
I discovered this Battery Mod Tool created by Shayne77 in the SGS II section and thought I would share it here. I can confirm that this works in CM9 on our Captivates.
Very nice automated tool that allows you to choose from a ton of Battery styles. This is great for me as the only "complaint" I've had about CM9 has been the lack of choices for this.
Obviously, this is not my work but I thought other Captivate users might find this useful.

First of all apologies if I'm repeating a very common question, but I struggled to find what I was looking for and hence this thread.
I'm looking for a custom ROM for my Dell Streak 7 3/4G running on HoneyComb 3.2 as the battery life is not that great.
Can you please recommend a ROM which has everything working (like 4G radio, camera, sound etc) and also give better battery life.
PS: I'm an absolute noob and haven't done anything on my tablet yet (like roting etc).

You need to get the Honeystreak ROM. Everything is working on them.

Can you please point me to download link and steps please? I did a bit of searching but not sure if thats the right one.
I would start at the streak 5 section and look for TheManii's post about DJSteves site being down and see where the files are being hosted. Then do a lot of reading around here. You'll have to do some leg work, but it is worth it.

As there are eight HoneyStreak ROMs listed at http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Dell_Streak_7/ROMs, not counting the release candidates, how does one pick the correct HoneyStreak ROM for a particular Streak 7 device?
R8 is the one you want.
Doesnt it make a difference if his unit is already been flashed or not..?
I upgraded from the fyro 2.2 straight to HC3.2 with the latest/last ROM made w/ 3g/4g modem support...
Id love to see ICS or JB w/ some Modem support working then I would do the upgrade...
But to help you out on your journey just check some of my postings I dont have a lot and there you should find the threads you need...

the end result of MIstreak is to have working 3g/4g radios, expect it early new year with semi-working 3g, I am still doing a lot of testing with the builds I am pushing out on a daily basis, I havent had much luck with radios yet but it is getting there
