Wow, pretty cool. Might cause the opposite of wat you want though, I can imagine a thief would throw your phone away or turn off GPS because of this. And then you will never find it back... But i guess it could also prevent your phone from getting stolen in the first place. Cool idea anyway

It bootlooped me. I'm running CM 6.1.1, but I've got a ton of mods already going. First time for me to try a morph. Didn't work out. Oh well. Thanx anyway.

uff..sorry
I did not test it on cm6..just assumed it should work..
No prob man. Made sure to run a NAND beforehand so 5 minutes and I was back to normal.
EDIT: The weird thing was it never hit the bootloader when it rebooted. It went straight to the bootanimation and just played it over and over. Never seen that before.
Does this only work on AOSP lockscreen?

of course it´s just fun...but I would say 80% of all android users do not root, have no clue about that...and the one who finds the phone probably has a nokia, siemens, whatever and now clue about touchscr.phones at all....
so fun and perhaps one is lucky
but: it´s for free
sure better to have it than not. chance of getting it back is higher than without this mod

Since Cyanogen is no longer creating theme templates, I've made my own.
It is based off of his 4.0.4 template. The only .apk's I have removed are:
Code:
FilePicker.apk
HTCAlbum.apk
PDFViewer.apk
Clicker.apk
com.amazonmp3.apk
as they are no longer included in Cyanogen's ROMs (except for amazon, which i dont like nor is it themed in most themes)
Clicker.apk can be found here
Code:
http://n0rp.chemlab.org/android/apps/Clicker.apk
I've added more files for the 4.2.5 release to bring it up to date for Donut.
This can be used to flash back to the stock theme without having to flash the entire ROM and can also be used to create a theme from scratch.
I will update this as fast as I can following the release of a new Cyanogen ROM
NOTE: THIS TEMPLATE WILL ONLY WORK ON PHONES THAT USED THE HTC ADP RECOVERY [I.E THE G1], NOT THE ADP ROOTED BASE!
I will make a new version for it tomorrow
I have tested this on my own phone (yes its signed lol) both over the stock Cyanogen ROM and over a theme to revert to stock Cyan. Both times it worked perfectly (the only issue is that any Google widgets on the home screen take a while to show up initially)
PLEASE MAKE A NANDROID BACK-UP BEFORE FLASHING!
While I have tested this myself, I cannot guarantee that this will not cause any problems
Note: If you have any modified .apks such as google maps with navigation, this will overwrite them. Update them from the market

The Theme Flashed as an update.zip using the stock recovery mode or using MetaMorph.
It has been tested on I897UCJF6 and I897UCJH7. I cannot vouch that it will work on any other ROM.
A number of HTC elements have been blended while retaining a Droid “feel”. For example: It retains the android blue highlights vice the HTC Green. There really are too many changes to describe. Give it a try.
If you don’t like it, Return it back to the stock. I’ve included that too.
Note... Stock MetaMorph Revert: Due to Metamorph limitations the battery will remain 1-100%, but it will look stock (original SRE).
The Theme uses a blend of my custom graphics and source graphics from:
EVO 4G (many customized)
SRE 1-100% Battery (fully customized)
Changes are made to:
framework-res.apk
twframework-res.apk
Settings.apk
Email.apk
Gmail.apk
Mms.apk
MediaProvider.apk

Trying this now.
Works, and looks good.
Two problems I spotted...
1) Text in the notifications pulldown is black, not white like in the screenshot, so it's really hard to read.
2) The HTC icons are not showing up in the settings menu.
Thanks for checking it out...
On 1) Bummer... Not sure what to do about that though. The changes are to graphics only. The apk's don't mess with the font. Has your always been black? Mine has always been white.
On 2) I'll double check the apk and make sure I didn't screw something up. Although I swear I checked it.
Thanks Again
Hmm... after deleting user data the text in the notifications drawer is now white like it should be.

Two requests. Can we get a metamorph? I'd help you if I knew how, but sadly I do not. A lot of us use cognition, and it doesn't like update.zip themes.
2, can we get some jpgs? Trying to watch that gif is hard! Lol.
Otherwise, I think it's worth a try. Would have liked a semi transparent notification drawer as well though. Minimalistic got me hooked on that.

I believe I can work up metamorphs. I used to do them, but I think they are a bit of a pain. I understand a cognition deal though. It might be better if I come up with a zip that'll work with clockwork? I'll attempt both.

I've just check it.. it seems to be working at the moment. Megaupload does that once in a while. Usually if you give it a couple minutes it'll be back. Let me know if you are still having issues. I've added the metamorphs to the post, but the flash versions are too large.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EDIT: I'm having issues adding attachments for some reason... I'll need to try later. Hopefully its an "XDA system" thing.
That sucks... I'll work on other options, hopefully. I can't host the flash files here and XDA is not cooperating with attachments today for the metamorphs.
Maybe there is something in the air today.
Megauploads is having issues with capacity this afternoon.... hopefully it'll be up later. I don't have another answer at the moment... unless someone can host the files.
Hey I downloaded this morph and it looked pretty sick but then I decided to flash it back to stock. When i did that though, all my settings icons disappeared. Do you know how to get them back?
[Sorry if you had loops with CM 6.1.1, I fixed it, so no probs anymore- ready to use this for CM 6.1.1 ]
I'm translating QQ Desktop Pro from Chinese to English using the UziTech Android Translator. I have successfully translated the strings.xml, but when it's reinstalled onto the device it force closes with this error:
(I've also attached the original XML in a zipped xml)
I've also attached the zipped source files, as it's too big to post.
Any ideas on why it force closes? I have successfully translated the Tencent Desktop (MIUI / iPhone style launcher with no app drawer) but want to translate this one. I'll post the other one soon.
I love the stock look of Android L. It is the reason I bout the Nexus 6. As with all versions of Android, there are extra features that could be added in. So with that I have done!
Disclaimer
These MODS have been designed to work with @scrosler - CleanROM only. These MODS change core files, so only use with LMY47E based DEODED rom's. If you try to use with other roms you will get FC's - You have been warned.
Take a backup first before flashing any MODS
The MODS
Both Battery Text and Centred Clock
Updated Advanced Reboot Menu Icons - Note I did not write the APM, just updated the icons
Look in post #2 for the downloads. All credit goes to scrosler for his amazing rom.
Nicely done! Thanks for sharing!
Yo! Yo! Yo!
Nice to see some mods showing up!!!! And yep good ol' gunthermic is in the house!!! LOL
good job Stephen, any chance we can see battery % with icon in status bar? ill take a look over the code tonight when I get home
Yes that is very easy. Edit the system_icons.xml file and look for android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="0.0dip" android:layout_height="0.0dip" remove android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="0.0dip" android:layout_height="0.0dip" and change width and height to back to normal. I cant remember what the default values are..
I had been thinking of making one with the icon as well. But had enough for today! @Danvdh if you could have a look at the clock for me. It is not 100% right. I think it needs to be a bit bigger!
I'll give it a look over tonight
Can we get one for the led light while phone is charging?
Just got up and running on CleanROM this morning ... Flashed these mods a bit ago and so far so good! Thanks @Stephen
Thanks for the mod, anyway to get the battery to the left? Thanks
I can certainly have a look. I think that would mess up notifications though,
Do these MODs work on the latest CleanROM 2.20 which is based on 47M? Or we should wait for an update? TIA
No, that was yesterday ... Have not tested with latest build
Yes they should be fine with the latest build. I will have some time over the weekend, so I plan to re-base the mods on CleanROM v2.2. Just take a backup of your rom first, before installing them.
I also think the battery mod is better with the charging icon, so I will include it in the next release.
I also now have learnt how to disable the brightness slider, so may include that as an option.
Does anybody know how to disable the "Connected as media device" notification? I am certain it is in SystemUI, but I cant find any references to it!
Will there be an update for LMY47H???
Sent from my SinLess NeXus 6 using TapaTalk!!
LVY47H. Tested on the stock rooted and only the center clock mod works.
The rom has to be deodxed for the APM to work. These mods are only designed to work with CleanROM as it was his files I used as a base.
