Hi, hoping someone, maybe Ansar, can help me. I have been unable to load latest ROM from the developer thread onto my HD7. Error 296 , needs a newer NBF File, is reported.
OS Version 6531.WM7_BldLab
(mojobbld).20100803-1911
Firmware revision number: 0.93.0.1
Hardware revison number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.45.56.18_22.18.50.06U
Radio hardware version: 2.22.0.D4
Bootloader version: 0.93.2250.0(105296)
Chip SOC version 2.2.5.0
Any help much appreciated, current version crashing, poor graphics...
Many thanks
Yeah thanks for the support guys.
How did you even manage to flash a Mojo build on your HD7?
Thats one of the early beta releases of wp7. Where did you get it from?
The rom you were loading to your hd7 was an early build of wp7, try loading an appropriate rom from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=876451
Thanks for the replies guys. The ROM detailed above was on the device when I got it, but as you say its a very early build and very buggy. I have the device as a sample from HTC. I can wait for them to get me an updated version but that maybe sometime, so just wanted a quick solution if there was one.
None of the ROMs in Ansar's thread above seem to work, I have tried the HTC Europe and the Telstra ones, and O2DE, to no avail. Error 296 every time, "Upgrade Only, Try a Later ROM". Just wondering if there was a ROM out there that would work or some other procedure I need to follow. I am not technical.
Thanks for coming back to me anyway.

if you are not technically oriented, why would htc give you a "sample" device???
Er, to see if I would like to buy some?
you could make a goldcard and then flash a stock rom (real stock , not the modded rom's)
there are a view threads about goldcards so just use the search button
Many thanks I'll have a look
Hi,
I'm in the same boat az you are ! and I have the security unlocked sample of the HD7, so please let me know if you find any solution for this cause also I downloaded all of the roms in RMA and none of them worked with this device.
Thanks.

I just bought T Mobile G1 2 days ago, and I want to update it from 1.1 to 1.5
But I have different phone information from the tutorial that I read, so I'm still using 1.1 version.
This is the description:
Baseband version
62.33.20.08u_1.22.12.29
Kernel version
2.6.25-01843-gfea26b0
[email protected] #6
Build number

I have no idea what RC number that I'm using.
Please Help mem I really want to update this phone to access some new application.
Thank you.
Are you rooted and in the US? If it is a stock US phone 1.5 should come OTA.
If you don't want to wait, see this: http://www.androidcentral.com/how-manually-install-android-15-cupcake-us-version

Nope, I'm at Germany. OTA?! What is that?! Sorry, I new at this.
Is it the process save?Because I'm afraid it is only for US or UK.
OTA = over the air. Basically your phone service provider will automatically send you the update in a few days.
However, I am not knowledgeable about Germany, and don't know what OS version is used there, how OTA updates work, and most of all whether or not that link is a US only version (99% sure it is - especially because the link says "US version").
Good luck finding help.
you would probably just be better off rooting and getting the newest ROM.
here is the information i found most useful for me when i first rooted.
here are the links to Cyanogen's stable & experimental roms, i've used both and i personally love the experimental version.
hope this helps.
Use THIS guide. It is based on the one linked by davidchill but it has pics, updated links, changed wording for better clarification, and a few steps added to avoid confusion. Also when you are done with that there is a program in post #2 that will walk you through partitioning and do all the math for you.
Had a long chat with the wp7 support staff and they are just a prop...anyways...like u guys know, the nodo update has reduced color depths...so was thinking of going back to the very first firmware...it was quite good and I was in love..i really don't see any significant or drastic change in this nodo...yea the marketplace downloads are fast...copy/paste...thats about it...
So my question, does the pre nodo (7008 namely) update have the same color depth issue???
Or does any1 have the 7004, the very first, original firmware???
Thanx a lot!

Hi Folks,
I have a HTC HD7 Tmo US and followed all steps on this tread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1001019
The flashing went ok, but sometimes the HD7 restarts it self without knowing reasons.
I found out as well on the page 18 on the same tread about the Carrier changed from xxxx.yy.zzzzz.531 to xxxx.yy.zzzzz.841, this means went to TmoUS to Telstra, Am I right? Because nobody confim it for sure yet! But seens to be!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1001019&page=18
Now, I want to know if, since the carrier now is Telstra, can I also follow the tread bellow to update the ROM for a newer one with newer Radio, which I hope fixes the HD7 from restarting.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090845
On this tread, the radio is Radio_5.66.09 .21a_22.48.50.21U_NoDo_Signed_by_ansar
Mine is actually 5.65.09.11_22.44.50.15U
My question is: can I do it? Is there a risk to brick the HD7 TmoUS?
Have anyone done it yet?
Final questio: If I have a GoldCard for HD7, can I apply any ROM to my TmoUS?
Thank you very much for your time and attention.
Paulo Scorcci.
Hi folks,
Is there any one which can help me with this question?
I would like to place this tread on the Development session, but I have less than 10 posts and can not do it.
Thanks again.
Paulo

as long as you have RSPL or HSPL installed...
you can flash any HD7 ROM.
just remember, flashing a Shipped ROM will rid you of XSPL.
