Desire News Widget

Although I love the way sense UI feels, I decided to go with froyo, and will stay with stock android until somebody ports sense to 2.2 . However, I really like the news widget that sense UI has. I've looked and found the apk, here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6447678&postcount=10, but it doesn't install correctly. Can anybody help me figure out what's wrong or direct me to a working solution? Thanks!!

Simply... no. All sense widgets rely on the sense UI framework which cannot be ported over to a normal nexus one rom. So any widget seen on a desire rom cannot be ported over... period. Sorry bro

Laaame. Anyone know of a full page news widget similar to that of sense?

I dunno about a full page one, but NewsRoom is really nice.

Can anybody tell me the best Sense UI theme/widgets so I can make my CM6 feel like home?

You're using CyanogenMod when you're a Sense guy?
That's just ridiculous. Flash a Sense ROM.
If not: Get ADW Launcher and download a Sense theme.

colorize widgets. look for the ones done up by signals23 on xda.

[Q] Flip Clock + Animated weather

Is there a way to embed the clock (that flips) and the weather animations of the htc desire onot the Wildfire??.
This was posted in the latest wild puzzle thread but thought it's worth putting on it's own thread for all those that missed reading the post.
Anyone know if it would be possible?.

i have installed clock from desire on wildfire.. it realy dident look well as i supposed, but clock did flip.
so we need to decompille clock for wildfire and for desire and then compare those two.

Actually i was the one who wrote this, and i just want to mention that i want the clock (and animations) from the desire HD

Beuthiful widget is good and have weather animation but the clock still dont flipping so i want flipping clock if posiblle.

Didn't know there was a difference with the HD. Either would suit me.
Tried the weather switcher thingy, I must have set it wrong as I had no animated weather.

Only the desire hd's clock is flipping as far as i know...
Whatever, if Danne or someone else knows how to resize the essential stuff and port it into the wildfire, we'll be grateful once more!

[Theme][Mod]Sense Mod v2.0 :D 7/14/11

Hello Slide community,
I have finally ported my theme on to SalsaSlide 4.0, but since we are now on Sense 2.1, there were a few things I had to edit out like the lockscreen and the pulldown bar background. To try to make up for this loss I added to the bootanimation and added animated status bar icons and other small changes. Hope you guys enjoy it and remember this theme was created from bits and pieces found on XDA and using UOT online kitchen.
What this theme has:
Cryshop's Lockscreen (only for Froyo roms)
Cryshop's NavBar
Fightspit's Super Circle Battery with % (only on Froyo roms)
Hooolm's CircleMod Battery icons with % (only on Gingerbread roms)
A modified version of Taknarosh's bootanimation
Status bar background from Arayray's Arayraymod Revamped (only on Froyo roms)
Custom Sense clock widget
Darker keyboard background by me
Newest Android market (only on v2.0)

No problem... I got bored with regular sense so I looked around the forum and found these mods, but if you like feel free to press the "thanks" button

I like it a lot, but I think the font is a little small. It's kind of a deal breaker because that fonts runs across all the widgets.

Tried to install this on 3rd sense but kept getting installation aborted. Is this a zip of metamorph file? And how do you install?

I am noob in HTC, I want to know how can I integrate CM ROM with (HTC Sense 3.0 Lockscreen) and (GO Launcher EX)

Questions like this should be in the general section, not dev. Dev section is for development, and no questions about development don't
count as development
But...
Go launcher.... easy... install the app
Sense lock screen, will have to hope a dev decides its a good enough idea and port it over. Currently there is no way to do it tho

Agree with RellikZephyr.
Little info about the lock screen:
The htc lockscreen leans heavily on the sense framework, so to port it over we have to write or own implementation on the framework or modify the lockscreen to not use it, but both methods are just to complex and work intensive, no single dev wants to do it (or can't), since its basicly a complete rewrite.
So in short: i think you will never ever get sense lockscreen on CM, maybe with the openSense libs there is a small chance, but i wouldn't count on it. No single person who runs CM (or AOSP) want to use sense stuff, its just a drainer
