I am using the N1 car dock only as a charger/holder for the phone. I am not connecting the N1 to the dock, but rather to the A2DP compliant stereo in my car which I am using for both media and calls.
For some reason when the phone is docked changing the BT in-call volume or media volume does NOTHING. However, when I am not docked but still connected to the stereo, at least lowering the BT media volume lowers the output through the speakers (the in-call volume still doesn't change anything).
This is a problem for me because the in-call volume is quite low compared to the media volume so I always have to pump up the volume to hear properly. The kicker is that upon call disconnection the media starts up again at a MUCH louder volume because I raised it to hear the caller.
1) Does anyone know why the dock disables access to the BT volumes and if there's a way to disable that?
2) Is there another kernel I could flash compatible with the CM7 nightlies to boost the in-call volume?
Thanks a ton!

I would like to know will ring volume auto adjust when headphone is plugged?
When I am listening mp3 by using the TouchFLO player, someone phoned in, the speaker & headphone will both sound. Since the volume of ringer is tuned to Max, it hurt my ear. So, I need to tune ring volume each time when I plug or unplug the headphone.
Is there anyway to auto tune the volume level when headphone plugged or unplugged? Or, ring tone won't play in headphone even headphone is plugged?
Thanks.
I am using HTC RC E100 as a handfree and listen music. But I found that the volume is very loud. Everytime I using the handfree, I need to trun down the system and ringtone volume level to 1 !! And everytime I put it down, I need to reset the volume to the loudest level, otherwise, I can't hear the ringtone.
I know that the "audiopara3.csv" file can make the speaker and headset volume louder, can it also suitable for handfree? What value I need to change? Thank you for your help.
My setup:
AT&T Tilt with AT&T stock WM 6.1 firmware
HTC Audio Manager 2.0 Build 1819.2129
30 ohm impedance headphones connected to default audio adapter
When playing back a song in Audio Manager, the volume control is too coarse. At the lowest level, there is of course no sound. At the next level up, it's way too loud. Is there any way to make the volume control more fine grained?
I have this same problem. Audio manager is missing volume control and the system volume control is either nothing (lowest bar) or loud (2nd bar) and ear splitting on up.
If you use windows media player, it has a volume control which decreases the percentage of the volume from the system. So say you have it on the 2nd volume bar which is loud in Audiomanger. Open up WMP and lower the volume to 50% and it will lower the overall system volume to 50% of the 2nd bar. This affects audio manager and the whole system though. If you leave it on 10% in WMP then turn a speaker phone call all the way up it is only 10% of full volume, which sucks. So you have to go into WMP and change the volume percentage before and after you use audio manger which is a hassle.
Is there a better version of Audio Manager that has volume controls? I know the earlier versions did but I am using Manila2D and want the nice display and a volume control!
I'm interested in locking the Bluetooth volume. In other words I want the Bluetooth volume to always be set on step back from max and can't be lowered or raised.
I just Bluetooth audio to my car stereo and every time I grab my phone I end up hitting the volume rocker... So user error but still annoying.
Anyone have some ideas?
Whenever my Bluetooth earphones are connected, my volume controls will either be controlled by my earphones and/or the phone which is how it's supposed to be. But most of the time, it'll be controlled by the phone and whenever I change the volume on my earphone, no icon or animation will appear and the volume won't change.

I have found the solution, it is to clear the Bluetooth Cache in my apps setting.
