Hi guys,
Hoping someone can help me. So recently I installed cyanogen mod, hence in order to do that I had the vulnerable sbf.
Then I installed clockwork mod and I think I loaded their recovery loader.
Now when I go and try reboot into clockwork mod recovery, it doesn't load. And when I reboot normally into the recovery loader using the power button and camera key, it loads but I can get into the apply/update.zip due to the verification failing.
I have tried reflashing the vulnerable recovery and trying to get into open recovery but it still doesn't work with the verification still failing.
It would be great if someone can help me solve this problem!
Thanks

Alright,
Don't mind me anymore. I fixed it!
If anyone is interested, I solved this problem when I realised my update.zip file got replaced during the installation of clockwork mod so I just copied back the previous file I used and its all good again!

Boot & boot & boot? As in you're stuck in a boot loop?
Yes sir, I am in a Bootloop if i want to go in the recovery (2.5.1.3). Now i am again on 2.5.1.1 and all is fine.
I haven't had one problem with the recovery since I started using it.

Hello Guys Hopefully somebody will be able to help me out. I have recently updated my Captivate to Froyo and re-rooted it with no issues. I have sense attempted to make a backup from cwm recovery and I am not able to get to it only just the stock recovery mode. I reinstalled cw recovery and that didn't work so I reinstalled rom manager and reinstalled cw recovery to no avail couldn't get into it. So i rolled back to 2.1 thinking it may be an issues with 2.2 even though I was sure how it was possible and im back to square one. I am still unable to get into cw recovery. yes the phone is fully rooted and i have also did a fix permissions and it completed sucessfully and tried to reinstall and it still doesnt work. Anybody got any suggestions?
Thanks
You either have to switch kernel our flash back to stock then load a custom rom.
You should be able to swap kernels using
Sgs kernel flasher app from market, or odin. You would have to figure or which kernel you want to use

Hi guys:
I have rooted my phone today using SuperOneClick root. Then I have installed ROM Manager, and installed Clockwork Recovery Mod 3.0.0.5. I have being reflashing Clockwork and recovery menu via ROM Manager because when I turn off my phone and turn it up (holding up power on and vol down button) and press to go to Recovery then appears the error image that is like an Android logo, cellphone and a yellow caution sign.
¿Can you guys help me? ¿What I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!
That's the stock recovery. If you still have a stock rom, it will restore stock recovery unless you delete the following files:
/system/etc/install-recovery.sh
/system/recovery-from-boot.p

I don't understand.
I have installed to it CM7 last build. And is running without any problems, but I am scared that if I have some problem with the OS and I can't boot to recovery.
It has Clockwork Recovery Mod but I can access it unless I use ROM Manager to start it.
¿I need to delete those 2 files and It will be fixed?
Thanks!
That is definitely the stock recovery (Android with an exclamation in a triangle).
If you have CM7 installed, I've no idea how you got the stock recovery, but re-flashing another recovery should fix it. The two files I mentioned aren't included in CM7, so that's not the problem...

Agree. That's the stock recovery. Sometimes you need to apply the new recovery twice under rom manager. I did have similar experience. Install a custom recovery again. I beg it will be fine next time. Hope this help.
When I first rooted using a one click method my custom recovery would only stick for one boot. On the xda nexus one wiki there's instructions on how to install a recovery after one click root and get it to stick.
Hope this helps!

Hi, I recently rooted my Nexus One. Its all running great. Installed Rom Manager and used it to install Clockworkmod recovery. This is where my problem lies. The installation goes fine and I can boot into it he first time. But after that it doesn't work. I just an image of the android figure and an exclamation mark in a triangle. I have to remove my battery to reboot. If I reinstall clockworkmod recovery it works. But only once. Hen I get the same problem. Any body know what's wrong here. Its got me stumped. I'm afraid to install any Rom wig this acting so weird. Thanks for any and all help anyone can give.

Stock Recovery is persistent, i.e will overwrite CWM on every reboot.
How do i get around this then to make it stop overwriting clockwork?

There's a script or something like that is preventing the CWM recovery from sticking IIRC.
You can get a script made by rugmankc
http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo...b.tt/ooDaCnU&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13257843136922
Download the file and put on your sd card
After you install and boot into the CWM recovery the first time, flash that
Fix-Recovery.zip file
Thanks, I took a look at it, instead of running the script i used ES File Explorer and just renamed install-recovery.sh and recovery-form-boot.p and that seemed to do the trick. I was able to boot into CWM recovery 3 times in a row.
you should install super user or Custom rom
Im already rooted so I have super user. And I will be installing a custom Rom soon. Anyway, the issue is cleared up now, since I renamed those files.

Hello Everyone,
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Not too long ago, i started fooling around with my new android s2 i9100. It has been rooted, and i have successfully installed clockworkmod recovery 4.0.0.2 using ODIN,
inspiredgeek - install-clockworkmod-4-0-0-2-cwm-recovery-for-samsung-galaxy-s2-ii-how-to
Now, im not sure if that was a problem, but i am unable to update from the current recovery mod which is 4.0.0.2 to 4.0.1.5. I have downloaded the recovery mod 4.0.1.5 from clockworkmod / roam manager separately and placed it into my sdcard.
Now i am applying the update through the actual CWM, using my -+ to navigate, once i have found my clockworkmod and i run the .zip. My version at the top switches to 4.0.1.5, but after reboot, it returns back to 4.0.0.2.
P.S: I do have ROM manager installed, and when i try to flash the recovery mod to 4.0.1.5, all it does it downloads the update.zip to my sd card. Nothing happens afterwords...
I have searched quite a bit for an answer, and i guess im pretty blind if i have not found one. But if anyone can help me out, i would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
I was able to do this manually but finding another 4.0.1.4.tar file and using Odin to update this. But it kinda defeats the purpose of downloading the newest release of cwm through rom manager and using cwm to update it....
Wrong forum. This is Galaxy s 1
