Cm 6.1.1 n1 camera FC - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm not sure what the problem is with it but when ever I change a setting like ISO or anything else the camera app just force closes after I take a picture. After FC I can't use the camera all I get is a black screen so I have to reboot the phone. Does anyone have a solution for this issue?
Is the cm 6.1.1 camera suppose to look like the stock can but with more advanced settings like ISO and picture quality?

First thing to try is clear camera data in Manage applications,
If that don't work, full wipe and flash again

Awesome thanks worked like a charm!
What happened to the desire camera port from cm5?

[STOCK FIX] 8/Apr r1: Stock Fix Pack - Camera with brightness fix + silent camcorder

This download is a fix pack for STOCK ROMs. It should work on all v10 ROMs, but always do a backup in ClockworkMod Recovery first!
This fix pack resolves the issue where the Camera app can launch with minimum brightness when using the auto brightness mode. It also removes the annoying Camcorder beep.

Thanks, it works !
V10b
Didn't work for me Running V10a, don't know which date.
EDIT: It seems that it did work after all, I just misread the description... I have this problem where all apps that use the camera (like barcode scanner) boots up with a very dark picture and doesn't adjust the exposure, and I thought the fix posted here fixed that Oh well, it's probably just a bug i barcode scanner.
I've the same bug with a barcode scanner app.
The fix don't fix this ...
works perfectly! Paul, could you please add autofocus while recording a video?
Is it me or is there a visible decrease in quality of the videos taken after this fix has been implemented? I also realised the camera flash is also not working so optimally after using the fix.
Initially, it was smooth to move the camera's view across places with differences in exposure and the "light flickers" weren't so obvious. Now it's pretty obvious...
Is there any patch to improve photo quality? Thx.
Alright. Sorry to be a pain but I forgot to do a backup in recovery and I seriously find the camera to be sluggish now.
I used to be able to move around and it wouldn't lag at all but now, it's lagging pretty obviously.
I would like to know if it's possible to just flash the original camera app to get it back into its original form since this patch should only have changed stuff within it, right?
If so, it would be great if someone let me know where I can get the original camera apk or zip.

[Q] Camera Blue tint (still after update)

Hi everyone... i have a problem... after update my droid 3 to 5.6.890 (stock rom), i still have blue tint on my photos (now it seems to be less frequent but still has it)
Someone say that video recording fps are low after update (around 12 fps)...but i'm still have great fps after update.
Can you help me or tell me some tips? There's any way to force my phone to re-install this update?
Also there is any way to force the camera to pre-illuminate the scene for autofocus?... it would helps a lot on no-light situations
Thanks 4 everything.

Click to collapse
Search for 'better blur camera"
or
Try this
Bionic Blur Camera
"To Install:
Use jrummy's ROM Toolbox or other app manager to clear data and cache of stock camera, then uninstall and reboot
Tap on new apk to install to /data/app DONE
OR if you'd rather have it in /system/app copy/paste and change permissions to rw-r-r DONE"
thanks man i'll try that but if someone can confirm me the 5.6.890 ota update fix 100% the blue tint issue for him i would appreciate because maybe it's a problem only in my device and if it's I'm going to get my refound. In meantime i'll try that tip thanks!
i think its 5.7 that fixed the issue. i use a software camera from the app store. they give you extra features and are better. and no blue tint
Try to update to 5.7 and see if that fixes your problem as Dri mentioned.

[Q] Whats your Camera or settings?

Ok I am on a GB Rom and would like to know if you guys use a Camera app from the market or the one with your Rom
Also which settings do you use to setup for best picture quality ie.. dark lighting etc...
Thanks

Something borked my camera

After I installed the GE camera/gallery app, all my pics are blurry at the top/bottom on portrait and left/right on landscape. I've tried every setting and nothing seems to fix this. Did a wipe and reinstall, didn't put the gallery on, and still same issue.
Seriously going out of my mind on this as it's been a perfect performer since day one. Any ideas before I call T-Mobile for a replacement?

[Q] Camera not going fullscreen?

Hello Guys,
I have the VS980 running XDABBEB VS98024A rom. Everything has been smooth for months until today. I brought up the camera from the main screen. The initial logo is centered but when the camera starts there is a black border around the right and bottom portion of the screen. I havent changed any of the DPI settings and I have reset the camera in the menu. I also have tried clearing the cache and deleting the data from application manager with no luck. My navigation buttons and status bar are present now and i dont remember them being there before. The pictures still come out the right size and the gallery operates full screen but just the camera itself isnt. I tried to take a screenshot of it but it just took pictures. Is there any clue as to what has happened? No new apps or downloads recently. A really frustrating and random event. I use my phones camera constantly. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you
If you have it in 13mp the aspect ratio is different and puts black borders on the camera.

Thanks for the reply. It was in the 10mp setting. Turns out my app setting module had updated without my knowledge and changed the UIs DPI making the camera smaller. I just didn't know. Changed the UI back to stock 480 and everything is fine. 4hrs of searching later lol
