Fascinate Smart Alarm Tones - Fascinate Themes and Apps

Howdy,
Does anyone know where I can download the smart alarm tones found on the Samsung Fascinate. There are about 5 of them titled Mist, Breeze, Forest and a few more. I believe these are .ogg files.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks!

You could just search for them with root explorer. Here i'll try it now. Please hold :-D
They are in system/media/audio/ui. Good call on the .ogg part, they are in fact.

Sorry, I have rooted my phone and replaced my operating system (or whatever you'd call it). So I no longer have those files. Is there anyway to get them online?

Yes, you can download the system dump and looking in there.

Where would I be able to find the system dump?

Ok, so for fun I looked for those files and found them with root explorer. When does the system use these files? I would like them for my alarm, but stock alarm app wont play them. I have never heard them since the day I purchased the phone.
Edit: I found what they were. Sorry duh

I found them in the EB01 stock rom

where did you find them? trying to look through the fascinate stock rom so I can put it on my TB

Decided to be active and zipped them up for you:

These are .ogg files, I can't use them, how do I make them mp3's????
(joking)
These are perfect, thanks alot!!!

Hi, would like to have those alarm tones too.
But the link doesn´t work anymore.
Could somebudy upload them again.
Thanks

R2D2 from StarWars

There was an R2D2 app but it has been taken off the market. I was wondering if anybody has the apk. I would also like to find a R2D2 Boot Animation, possibly with sound. Eventually I would like to have an R2D2 themed Droid Eris. Maybe someone should develop an R2D2 custom rom. I think if it was good, it would be successful.
I don't know about the app, but you can find the boot animation by following this link.

It's pretty sweet.
Thanks, Im bout to check it out
? So how do I go about getting these onto my phone... I have them downloaded just need to know what folder or folders to put them in and what to change in the script... thanks

I found this

I got everything to work, lwp, sounds, but not the bootscreen animation. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

The Bootscreen folder goes in the system/media folder. make sure you take out the bootanimation.zip out. I suggest buying root explorer so you don't have to hook up your phone to your computer to push it through. With Root Explorer, you can copy it there manually. The R2D2 bootscreen goes in a folder called bootscreen, not the bootanimation.zip. and you put the bootscreen folder in the system/media folder so make sure that is what you are doing.
Next time, let us know what you did so we can better help you. Its hard to tell what you are doing wrong when we dont know what you are doing.
There is already a folder in system/media for your ringtones. That is where the Eris stores the sounds it uses(ringtones, notifications). I definitely suggest buying root explorer so you can explore your Eris much easier.
i suggest using the first link for the boot animation since it has sound, while the boot animation for the r2d2 pack has no sound. I just downloaded the second link for the r2d2 pack, and the only thing i would use is the audio for notifications. just make sure u guys remember system/media because that is where u have to put the bootanimation.zip or the bootscreen folder at. u can also put the bootanimation.zip in data/local but i suggest system/media
I downloaded the pack yesterday. It has a "cute" little clock apk in it. I installed and the novelty wore off rather quickly. Still, if you're wanting to theme your Eris with R2D2/Starwars, it's kinda cool.
Sent from my FroyoEris using XDA App
I had my Eris themed with R2D2 by using the bootscreen with the sound. Then I used a wallpaper of R2D2 that I found and set the wallpaper not to scroll so R2D2 fills up the entire wallpaper. Then I downloaded a Starwars Soundboard and got the R2D2 sounds for my text message and email notifications(different sound for each one).
At the moment, I themed my Eris to being a Darth Vader theme since my silicone cover is black. My notifications are various versions of him breathing. I still need to find a bootscreen for Darth Vader, or make my own.
I still recommend buying Root Explorer to put files in their place over having to hook the phone up to the computer and pushing them through unless you really love working in the DOS environment.
Back to my original question, does anybody know where I can find the R2D2 apk that used to be on the market. R2D2 would make noise when you touched him or when you turned your phone.

Samsung Notification Tones?

I am running CM7 and loving it, but I really miss a couple of the notification tones from samsung. Mainly sherbert and postbox. Is there anybody that could either just zip those two or post the whole apk. Thanks.
Here you go. This should be all of the notification and ring tone sounds from the original Captivate.
Just unpack the .rar and place the entire folder path on your external SD. System should pick up the path the next time you go to assign a notification tone or ringtone.
Thank You!
Thank you!
SGS 1, CM7, was really missing Postbox as my email tone! I couldn't find anything like it online, inlcuding with Zedge.
Thanks! I've come back to this thread a few times over the past year (and a few phones) to grab these.
Postbox, Cloud and Tweeters baby..

[Q] Clock app on Slim ICS 3.3

So I found that the clock app is different, coming from Mosaic 9 and I like the style of it, although one of my problems is that I can't seem to make the alarm sound a song on my phone. Anyway to get a custom alarm in that im missing?
On a similarly related note, I installed a TW Clock or something (can't quite remember the name, looking for the link) but the option to use a custom alarm doesn't work if anyone knows whats going on, although the OP said everything works besides the note that says the time to alarm.
the error it gives me: App package com.sec.android.app.myfiles not found
okay im stupid, im assuming this is because I dont have My Files installed anymore or it doesnt come with Slim ICS, trying to restore the app with titanium backup... any other suggestions?
heres the exact one I DL'd: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1558337
Thanks!
Agree, wondering how to get custom alarm sound to display in choices for this clock.
I figured it out. For some reason I couldn't get files to save from the phone but when hooking it up to my computer, I was able to copy files into the ringtones folder. The songs now show up as choices for the alarm ringtone.
kinda tedious, but hey, not that much work.... I *think* setting something as ur ringtone from poweramp should work too if i remember correctly then.
Thanks!

Yea but that way it's becomes more like Apple's iPhone
There's must be a solution for that.
And I'm not talking about external app
I think there is so much gifted devs in hear someone probably can find a way to overide this limitation.
This is the reason I bought an android based phone and not an iPhone. because we are FREE to do whatever we want with our phones.
Shame on Google.

Well there is a very simple solution. Rename .apk to .zip. send it and then re rename it and install. Viola.

Double entries question

Hello, i tried several ICS rom which i like bettet then the JB ones, but i see that with all ICS roms i have the same problem of double entries with all the sounds files like alarm, ringtone and notifications.
for example: i have a ringtone called sea breaze and it is showing twice in the ringtone list when i want to change the ringtone in settings->sound->phone ringtone.
the same happens with my alarms and notifications.
i cant seem to work this one out, can anyone suggest a solution for this problem?
Thanks for the help

I tried it and no go. Few of the ringtone seems to apear three times. I tried deleting android/data storage and media folders as well and still nothing.
I think this thing is getting on my nerves.
Can it be something to do with ringtone files themselves??? i took those files from JB version and copied them to my device. I noticed that my old ringtones appear only once, but those i took from jellybean appear twice, maybe this cause the duplicates??

delete all ringtones from system media audio ringtones , reboot , move ringtones to folder again , reboot and check again
But there is no prob with copy/paste or something in the file manager you use??? and you don`t have copied the files so sdcard or something ...
the sounds are only available in the folder "system" and no where else ...
Works the 2nd idea of "The Tox" ???

The sounds were only on internal sdcard. But I think I solved it by moving all the sounds to system/media. And change permissions of the files.
On other ICS roms it didn't matter if I leave my new sounds on internal sd , as long as I don't keep the same ones as in system/media folder.
On this rom I had to try anything even tho the sounds i added were not the same as the original from the rom sounds and were only placed on internal SD.
Never mind that. Thanks for your help guys. This problem I think is solved. I will try the same trick on alarms swell and report the results.
Thanks guys

Only for me as an info: Could the permission be the problem ??? Not only the moving to system/media???

i really dont know, i tried so many things to solve the problem, so im not sure if the permission had any effect or not, the only thing i do know is that the ringtones now are ok, but the alarm still appear with duplicated files.
since i moving my home to a different city and im packing and a bit busy, so i dont have much time in the next few days to test this again. so for now until friday night i wont be able to play with that thing again and test what maybe the solution.
Okay so when you have time for testing, i`m interested in some infos, when available ...:good:
