I've bought a bluetooth keyboard for my ps3 and I would like to use it on my device. I pair but can't connect. What do I need??

I need something that don't require root. I am running a non-rooted device.

But I would also like to hear about routing methods since I'm on cm 6.1.1
Any experience with working models?

I believe it'll work for the rooted, but not otherwise; you need some bluetooth tweaks to enable host mode.

Is there any way to set up a Nexus One to access the Internet via Bluetooth DUN that is being shared from another device (e.g. a Blackberry)?
I read that something of the sort has been accomplished on jailbroken iOS using the app iBluever. I'm curious if the same can be done on Android.
Anybody?

I just posted the same thing lol
There is an app on the market that says it works but I dont want to spend money on something that should already work.
the application is called Bluetooth GPS Provider
I used an app call bluetooth gps mouse to connect my external gps unit. Worked great.

Thx for replies. I'll probably will get one, seems like sammy have problems fixing gps.
So, as this solution do not require hacking, etc. we could add this into general or Q&A.

Awesome application guys... Works on my Mac with safari ... I'm gonna try it on my new playbook tomorrow if it works with my tab then I don't think I'll touch my phone much

AirDroid is so much more awesome cuz you can use wifi hotspot mode too... So all you need is your phone and a device with wifi I'm pretty sure I'll be texting from my playbook from tomorrow

Only recently came across AirDroid and absolutely love it. My only gripe is that it CAN get a bit slow if the WiFi connection is a bit stretched, but otherwise a really useful app.
Just a suggestion since we're on the topic of wireless access, but if you have an Android tablet and an Android phone, you might want to check out TextTab.

It essentially allows you to text from your phone using your Tablet device. I found it very useful when I still had my Galaxy Tab.
Hmmm... I'm installing os2 on my playbook tomorrow... So I'll try it out and report

Oh! Sorry buddy - Thought you'd want the main app. Here's a link to the Lite version.

Just bought this bluetooth keyboard from Amazon. It looks great, but I can't get it to work. It pairs fine, but nothing happens when I try to type with it. Works flawlessly with my HTC One, so I'm guessing this is a nook issue (100% stock btw).
Any suggestions?

I have the same keyboard and had the same problems until apple keyboard support was added in cm-10.1-20130712-UNOFFICIAL-ovation-emmc.zip.

Thanks for the info! I was gonna root and install CM sooner or later, guess this is an added incentive.
Just curious, is there a way to manually insert the correct HID profile into the stock ROM?

I've tried every tether app I've found and so far the only thing that works is fqrouter 2, but it's not the most stable connection.
I've tried the TrevE mod, but I can only get it to connect using Auto. Setting it to anything else doesn't seem to do anything.
It was easy on my Hero and Evo 3D, just can't seem to get it to work on my One.
I'm rooted/s-off using stock 3.05.651.6.
Any ideas?

Is there any straight tweak that will do the trick? Right now I am using Wifi Tether adhoc to my laptop, (only mode I can get to work), and a cable from my laptop to my PS3. It works, but still isn't totally stable. My laptop and phone lose connection often. Not sure why.
fqrouter 2 barely stays connected. Shouldn't there be another app or a tweak I can apply that would work better, more effectively?
