Ever since I root my Nook and put on Decad3nce's 1.1 my nook will not charge. When I plug it in the wall, nothing happens. I restored a backup to stock 1.01 and it charges fine. I just put on 1.1R2 and I have the same charging problem. I can't seem to find anyone else with this issue and am really stumped. I don't want to be stuck with stock 1.01. That's no fun. Anything I can try to fix this?
Thanks
Anyone? Please help.

I updated/upgraded my HTC to winmobile6...it works great, I get a better WIFI range...it's all great!!
The only problem is that now it will not charge my battery. It has not run out all the way, but it will not take a charge. I have tried the wall charger, the USB cable, and so far nothing. I am not sure if it's a known issue. Has anyone come across this problem?
Thoughts would be appreciated, and answered REALLY appreciated!!!
Have you flashed back to the factory WM5 ROM yet? That's the first step to see if you have a true hardware problem or a software problem.
thanks
You are right, I should have done that before. I am going to flash it today.
Thanks for bringing it back to the basics...Later.
Walter.
Hey nookers,
I just ran into a problem charging my Nook.
When I boot up into stock on my dual boot the stock charger charges it awesome!
The light is yellow and then green for full charge.
Then I went into CM7. It says "multi(u)boot loading" where the Touch the Future of reading should be. (I have dual boot, it's supposed to say that.)
Then as soon as that disappears, the light becomes green and it stops charging. I noticed it doesn't charge in CWM, too.
All I did was restore a backup yesterday.
I hope i'm not screwed.
P.S. I appreciate ANY help. Thanks, you guys make my Nook what it it (was) today.
Any help?
I know it's been a short while, but could I please have some help here?
I have to take my nook to school tomorrow.
Don't think I'm to demanding, though.
muchas gracias
Well, thank you very much.
I'm running into similar problems, although I think it might be hardware-related. Even with the NC power adapter, I can only trickle charge, even when powering down the NC while charging. I'm going to try to exchange the power adapter, but this is most disconcerting.
Edit: fixed my problem here, but I don't think it's the same as your problem. Sorry! :-(

You must use the Nook Charger AND Nook Cable to fast charge, otherwise it's a 500mAh charge.
Hi Everyone,
I'm a newbie and I had this happen for the first time today.
Here's my story: I purchased my NC during the Ebay $50 off sale. It had version 1.1 software. I Nootered it a couple of weeks after I got it using Autonooter 3.0 and all was well. I routinely ran the battery to as low as 10% with no problems whatsoever.
When the 1.2 update came out I turned off my wi-fi so it wouldn't auto-update. After a couple of weeks, I decided to flash it back to 1.1 and manually update it to 1.2 with the info I found here at xda. Everything went fine. My NC hasn't been charged for about a week and, before reading a magazine for about an hour last nigh, I checked the battery level and it was 68% (I don't use it everyday). This afternoon I was reading the same magazine for about 30 minutes and all of a sudden it just went black and would not "wake up" or boot up. I remember seeing something about this on xda and read the thread but that seems to be some kind of issue with CM7, which I don't run.
Is this an issue with the 1.2 software (as was mentioned in the other thread) or could this be related to my previous Autonootering and flashing back to stock? Since I'm on stock 1.2 and not nootered now, is there a "fix" for me?
I was just about to make a bootable sd card and now I've got THIS issue to deal with!
Please Help!
Plug it into the usb port on your computer and it should boot up.
Thanks Kayak! I was able to get it to reboot by plugging it in when I got home but what I really want to know is if there is a "fix" so it won't die when the battery gets down to 30%.
My fault, In trying to explain everything I neglected to ask the question I really wanted the answer to.

It obviously shouldn't "die" at 30% battery. Sometimes power cycle/fresh reboot will fix it. Your nook might have misread the battery level or maybe it just had an error, I don't know. But if it happens again I would consider rooting it just to get a fresh install of 1.2 Plus, rooted 1.2 stock is pretty sweet with not a lot of effort at all. Mine occasionally gets stuck in what seems to be an "off" state, but it rarely happens. When it does, I just hold down the power button and it reboots. I've never had to plug it into my laptop to get it to start up again.
I'm running a cm9 nightly, and its been running flawlessly since Christmas when we updated it. Now I'm having charging issues. I plugin the charger and everything is normal and the icon shows its charging, except it won't go up. I kept on the tp and kept it plugged in thinking it was just glitching. Well, it wasn't charging. It went dead, and when I plugged it in it wouldn't turn on, it did when I used my touchstone charger. Then, I plugged in my normal charger, and it says it is charging, but even if I unplug it it still says that. Its stuck on 94 too. I have rebooted several times. Please help me.
I still need help on this please.
if it dies compleatly and bricks. i made a stone age solution
do this only if nothing else works....

Since I updated my phone (C6903) (2 days ago) Ive had a weird charging issue. Using the original USB Cable and Charger I have no problems. Using a Sony magnetic charging cable and the original charger it will charge to around 75-80% then keep cycling thru the charger connected/disconnected cycle and wont charge past there. Never had any problems pre-update. Cable all looks good still (it doesnt exactly move far!). I havent had a chance to do a factory reset yet - will try it in the weekend and see. The phones running everything stock, no rooting, no manual flashing, just OTA updates. Prior to the update it was still running the last version of Kitkat.
Anyone else experienced this? Or have any ideas?

I have a similar issue with Stock Sony cable and charger. I was having issues where my phone would get to 33% and then switch itself off, there are times, where I have been charging and its jump a great percentage ad only yesterday my phone was on about 28-30% and I restarted my phone, when it booted backup I was on 78%..
Since the 270 update I have messed on with the firmwares trying to sort it out, although I do have some problems charging, I seem to have sorted the issue of the discharging, as I can last pretty much all day and get the phone down below 33%. Can I ask what firmware did you use, did you make your own pre-rooted firmware or get one off this site?
Try a clean install, I never had that kind of issues...

I did a few clean installs, the first instance of 270 is I created a flash file with ftf, Supersu, recovery, Xposed and the 4k camera mod, but since I removed 4k camera mod and xposed been working ok, so I might try and flash them separate.
