I Have bought my Samsumg Galaxy S in Bahrain, but using it in India. In Bahrain the google services are banned so I didnt have android market and maps. So to get these services I changed the CSC using the code
*#272*hhmm# using Indian time. The CSC changed to 'XSG', after this I got the Market and maps but now the phone does not detect any network.
Tried searching for networks both automatically and manually, but the mobile does not detect any network. I've also changed sim cards and tried but the problem is still persisting.
am completely stuck now, i've hardly used my brand new phone for 4 days. would trying the code again with bahrain's time solve the problem?? pls help me out....
It's nothing to do with CSC, in my opinion.
Just to be sure, did you ever see the phone working with any network in Bahrain?

Yes it did work in Bahrain, and after coming to India and after changing to the local sim also it worked. Until I changed the sales code. I dont know wether its the result of changing the CSC or the hard reset that happens after changing the CSC.
Did you try this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892352&highlight=change+CSC
Or how did you change it? I suggest that you move back to the original CSC to see if it works again.

I live in toronto and trying to buy a white galaxy note .
i previously had 2 black galaxy notes, and they had no problems at all to find the APN settings for rogers, bell, and telus automatically. data and everything worked perfectly without setting up. those phones were from germany.
I went to the pacific mall yesterday, and i was looking for a white version.
first of all, she lied to me that the phone is from europe but when i checked its firmware it was the latest Hongkong firmware not european.
second, when i put my simcard in it, it did not detect rogers APN and she manually typed it in setting. i told her the phone is supposed to find APN settings automatically but she said it cannot find it automatically and she was typing APN for every single phone she sold. (she probably didn't remember me buying 2 phones without having to do that kinda stuff .. )
My question is.. that is it related to more like firmware problems? then I could just Odin it to the european firmware and it will be automatic?
Please, if you have any kind of informations.. please let me know...
Few days without my NOTE have been just miserable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
I can feel your pain
I have a European version, and it automatically finds all the apn numbers.
But I thought that these were preprogrammed in the simcard? Did not know that the rom-version could have anything to do with it?
Not sure if it helps you but im using xxkl7?

I thought so too until yesterday... but she was literally searching and typing right in front of me
conversation was like
She: all the galaxy notes are supposed be like this!
Me: what about 2 of my previous phones i perchased here?
she: we always do it in the back before we sell it to customer
Me: I thought you gave me brand new in box SEALED
and then she couldn't say anything and after 5 seconds she said ..
i don't know if you don't want it don't buy it.
seriously...
Its not the phone's fault that it dint detect the apn.
Its the firmware.
When i got note almost 4 months ago, i had to configure the settings by myself and i stil have to do it , when i install certain roms.

the one i am trying to buy is an international version and two of my previous ones were working perfectly without creating my own apn setting..
looks like you are using the LTE note released in canada..
if your phone originally was locked with other phone company than the one you are using right now, your phone might not have any other apn setting other than its original one, As far as I know.
I have the international version (I assume, I bought it from expansys), and it worked first time out of the box.
I have a Hong Kong Note with 2.3.5 and it found the Telus apns for me. I was surprised becasue I was expecting to have to enter them manually.
APN is related to CSC
If your CSC is not set correctly, It may not set APN automatically.
*#272*IMEI# show your sales code. If it set correct to your country code, it should have no problem
If your country code not appears, you have to flash CSC separately
NOTE : Flashing CSC or Changing CSC will wipe off data.

thanks for the informations man, i actually found out about this after installing la4 with multi lang-CSC.
i just am wondering if i can change my phone's country code somehow..
i want to make it to a germany DBT since it looks like they are the first one getting new official firmwares.
Hello
I have a problem with my note that just happened about a week ago now. I get an error message advising "not registered to network'.
THis is preventing me from receiving/sending mms and also receiving/making voice calls. I can however browse internet via 3g with no problem.
my note was bought on o2 contract. I flashed a german version of stock jb 4.1.2 by changing csc to DBT and updating via kies several months ago and its been workin fine up until this point.
To document what i have done so far:
I have tried hard resetting several times now. It keep coming back to german language because of the csc. I have bow changed the CSC to BTU and tried resetting again. It comes back with English lanuage now.
I have put my (o2) Sim in my old galaxy s and i can receive and make calls with no issue. I have also tried putting the wifes (three) sim in my galaxy note and this works fine as well.
So both sims seem to be working and both phones appear to be working but the o2 sim refuses to work properly in the Galaxy note.
I have since contacted o2 who have now sent me a new sim which i have now simswapped, the error persists.
As one final thing i am currently downloading the stock o2 firmware 4.1.2 from samfirmware and will flash it shortly but failing this, does anyone have any idea what might be casuing this. Could the fact i had german csc be preventing the phone from connnecting to uk network ?
Cheers
John.
tried flashing stock uk 4.1.2 firmware .
Still have the problem. Does not work.
anyone have any ideas.

Turns out the imei is the issue. Its been replaced with a generic one when i have updated at some point. So its off to the samsung service center for me.
That sucks, so its blocked in your country.
If they won't fix then cvxcvx can fix it
Hi guys I have note 3 sm-N9005 model made in vitamin.
But network is not available... the problem start after giving my friend the phone for view minute I don't know what happened... no breakage outside is visible. .. I replace the sim but nothing ..I moved from my country to India so that may be my imei blocked in my country but also nothing happened. I have tried everything and all methods that shows in Google claiming will fix the issue but it didn't work .
The funny thing that phone is reading the sim by showing sim service in app menu .

I open phone from inside no damage is visible.
everything seems works fine accept network.

Hello, my S5 mini has the first problems 1 year after bought, sometimes there was the error not registered on network. I have sent it twice to the support, but it was returned with "no error".
Now warranty over i have the error not registered on network, and can not use it for telefoning. The IMEI was correct, i can receive the network, but i can not register to it. I have the last marshmallow update flashed over OTA.
in former times, i have to remove the sim and reinsert it, to get it work again, but now this does not work. The simcard ist changed from the provider, and i bouhgt another simcard from another networkk, to test it.
Can i fix this problem?

Sam here, call me cynical but happened 6 months after phone ran out of warranty. Done all the basics, diff SIM from different provider reset phone, even re-flashed phone and no joy, tried all the modem software going and phone will only work on 2G. Samsung support said take it to repairers hmmm wonder what that's going to cost. New phone, New manufacturer I think. This is 2nd Samsung ive had issues with
I've only just got my first Android phone from a mate after obnoxiously using iPhones for years+, an S5 Mini that lags and ****s itself at every moment. I've now got a gangsaf little unit learning anything I can about this phone and after all my errors, not once have I seen this.
Just for relevancy, I have a G800Y model but I'm using one of the two kernels I could find that looked decent which the devs have listed under G800F and as far as I can tell or what I've read, there's no real difference other than a difference between the LTE bands they can access (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). If it would be so much as to ask what exactly is the software specifications of both of your devices? By this I mean:
- What ROM are you running; [Stock] or [Custom]?
- Have you rooted your device?
- Have you tried finding your device's most recent stock modem software?
- Did anything lead to this or is there anything you believe could have contributed to the occurence of such a problem?
- What carrier are you with in what location? If you do not wish to say for whatever reason, have you tried a search for devices with similar problems and a possible resolution method?
Hello, i have stock rom, IMEI is intact, not rooted,

CP: G800FXXU!CQB2
CSC: G800FDBT1CPL1
