I Have bought my Samsumg Galaxy S in Bahrain, but using it in India. In Bahrain the google services are banned so I didnt have android market and maps. So to get these services I changed the CSC using the code
*#272*hhmm# using Indian time. The CSC changed to 'XSG', after this I got the Market and maps but now the phone does not detect any network.
Tried searching for networks both automatically and manually, but the mobile does not detect any network. I've also changed sim cards and tried but the problem is still persisting.
am completely stuck now, i've hardly used my brand new phone for 4 days. would trying the code again with bahrain's time solve the problem?? pls help me out....
It's nothing to do with CSC, in my opinion.
Just to be sure, did you ever see the phone working with any network in Bahrain?

Yes it did work in Bahrain, and after coming to India and after changing to the local sim also it worked. Until I changed the sales code. I dont know wether its the result of changing the CSC or the hard reset that happens after changing the CSC.
Did you try this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892352&highlight=change+CSC
Or how did you change it? I suggest that you move back to the original CSC to see if it works again.
Hey guys i own T Mobile unlocked phone, the phone was running every sim in my home country but now i an in US and i bought a Sim card from TMobile and found out that its not getting signals, I found out that the phone i purchased in my hometown has blacklisted IMEI, therefore i decided to root and change the IMEI (done) , but still no luck with it.
I changed the ROM to international version still no luck
Changed the IMEI to anothet valid one still no luck
The At & t chip is working but i want TMobiles chip to work
The hidden service menu code returns blank screen, no option
Ariza patch is failing to detect the root
I have been continously trying things to get it to work, but the issue still presist on TMobiles chip only.
Please help me guys, i recently restored the TMobiles latest rom and restored original IMEI.
The sim initially worked for few hours after restarting but now it doesnt even sense it for a moment.
I tried manually selecting networks but it fails too.
Please help me guys, i didnt knew this phone was reported as blacklisted.
My S5 Mini SM-G800F won't stay registered on a network, it registers initially but after a few seconds drops to 'Emergency calls only' with the notification that the selected network is unavailable. The signal strength is fine and the sim works in other phones. It's an unlocked phone, using a different network sim produces the same result. Bought it secondhand just over a month ago and it's been fine up to to a couple of days ago, done a hard factory reset but the issue remains.
Ideas for a fix?
This may or not be similar to an ongoing issue I have with my S5 Mini - See below :- Has your IMEI changed to the below at all - 350695200123951-01 ?
"Hi All,
Did any one actually get a fix for this issue as I have exactly the same problem, my SM-G800F IMEI now also shows as - IMEI 350695200123951-01 which is for a blacklisted NOKIA 6310. If anyone can supply an absolute beginners guide for me as to how I can get my original Imei back that would be fantastic.
I am just a user of an android phone and have zilch experience of tinkering with them.
I have seen reference to things like Odin and flashing firmware and am quite happy to give it a go myself and learn
I will post this on a few other threads that list the same issue as I am desperate to get this fixed now as is a waste of a perfectly good phone !! "

No change to my IMEI, consensus seems to be that it's probably a faulty SIM card reader.
Hey guys , just received my RP2 today and out the box i put my nano SIM in but i have no LTE connection at all ... Here a picture of the issue :
I've tried the dial solution [*#*#4636#*#*] but it not workedd ... APN options same .... disable adblocker vpn same ....
I've check the band for LTE connection for where i am ( France ) and its seems to be okay but no LTE anyway ...
Someone have the same problem ? The razer phone 1 had a lot of issues too with network but i've deal with them during 1 year ( it was hard ) but if the razer phone 2 i've take for replacement of the rp1 is worst ,i think my journey with razer is gonna end here ... dont have time for more research on basic smartphones function ...
Location : France
Carrier : Orange ( Sosh )
Razer Phone 2
Sorry for my english .
What happens when you enter the *#*#4636#*#*?
does the settings pop up change the frequency?
Same problem here. It works on every Italian band (3,8,20) but sometimes (and it really depends on the tower, as the issue is geo-localized) it connects to the LTE network but it doesn't have connectivity (like you, the annoying X belove the signal).
This leads me to think that it is a carrier problem; nevertheless, so people that work for the carrier itself said that in Italy (and most likely across all Europe, so it applies to you as well) carriers have a list of well-known device manufacturer, LTE will work properly with them (as they are whitelisted) while won't work (correctly or at all) with "unknown" devices. You can easily tell that razer is not a "known" device for those carriers.
First of all, you need to disable VoLTE, both on the device and carrier side (if they have a whitelist for VoLTE as well, very likely). Then you can report us back. Maybe we can try to find a solution together.
Try manually inputting your APN settings
I've tried the hard reset , dial solution , VoltE , manual apn but the problem is still here ... Like u have said my device is labelled "unknow device " in my carrier portal , so maybe this is an unsolvable issue ? I need a working phone for my work so i ve send back the phone a few days ago and will replace him for a huawai mate 20 pro model . So i dont need anymore help for this now . Thanks for the help anyway and good luck for resolving this issue ^^ .

Today is sad day, We have lost a fellow Moth. Best of luck in your endeavors and may you some day find the light!
Hello,
my Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro running on stock MIUI Global 12.5.1.0 (RFKEUXM) can now suddenly not connect to my mobile carrier.
I hope somebody can help me out.
Some facts and stuff I have tried:
The connectivity icon on the top is just grayed out now and shows an X.
But that was not the case in the morning today.
At that time it showed full bars, but not the usual 4G text and the mobile internet did not work. After some attempts written below it is now just gray.
Mobile internet and cell service do not work.
I have rebooted multiple times.
The IMEI for both SIM slots is shown as 0.
No baseband version is shown.
(I am sure that this was also not the case early in the morning.)
I have never installed a custom ROM on this device, bootloader was never unlocked.
The SIM card is correctly inserted and the phone number is shown in the settings for SIM slot 1.
Trying SIM slot 2 (incl. reboot) did not fix the problem.
The SIM status shows that the service is not available, also on the top left when the phone is locked. ("Dienst nicht verfügbar" in German locale.)
Trying the SIM in another phone works, which I think makes it not a carrier problem.
Trying another SIM in my phone also does not work.
I unfortunately had dropped the phone days before, but no damage visible at all (phone case FTW).
Also it worked without problems, which makes me hope this is not hardware related.
WLAN works, so internet connectivity is possible.
Phone is out of warranty.
I did search for other threads with similar issues, but they all seem to be related to having flashed custom ROMs and then losing the IMEI.
Does somebody have any idea how I can fix this?
Thank you!
Edit: I just remembered/saw that I did do the "Xiaomi Service Framework" system app update to version 6.0.6-G yesterday night, maybe that caused the problem? Currently researching on how to roll that back. If somebody knows, please do tell.

Did you check Settings, SIM cards and Mobile networks, SIM 1 (if SIM is in Slot 1)
Do you have Turn on? If Turned Off, then do Turn On
If not, ie if it does not recognize the SIM card, then it looks like a hardware issue
Assuming, as you say, that SIM card is ok, correctly inserted, and that phone runs only the stock firmware - hence no root, no custom ROM, no custom Recovery (that user could possibly wipe partitions), etc
Maybe, some connection got loose and later disconnected completely
Thanks for you answer.
I am sure the SIM is inserted correctly and working. It's been in there probably for years now.
Don't know if you saw my update above about "Xiaomi Service Framework". Checking that right now. Maybe I should just do a factory reset.
What I have noticed now a couple of times is that the phone crashes and reboots, just now happened when I connect for USB debugging or before when trying to enter the SIM pin after a reboot, ...

But if the phone does not recognize the SIM card, it would not ask for the SIM pin

Agreed, therefore I am sure the SIM is recognized. The phone even shows my number and the SIM has the carrier name.

If the carrier name is recognized, then IMEI cannot be NULL
Very strange
Try to play with Preferred network type setting
Maybe something really got wrong with the updated Framework

Oh, I though the IMEI is device specific and should be there even without a SIM inserted.

AFAIK too - but without IMEI it could not attach to the network and therefore cannot show carrier name
Hence strange, and/or the contradictory descriptions/observations

Ohh, sry there is a misunderstanding.
The carrier name is only shown as the NAME of the SIM card (I guess it is stored on there or the phone has remembered it). But there is NO connection or carrier name shown in the top notification bar.

Yeah but you still have unknown IMEI - that's something that should have not happened
Anyway, go to Preferred Network Type and try with Prefer 4G, Prefer 3G or Prefer 2G - maybe, with the updated Framework, something went wrong with the bands support or so
If it wouldn't help, then I'm out of the ideas how to solve
So I did do a hard reset now, and it worked for a short time (IMEI is back), then it doesn't again, and ... just now again. It really is not stable.
Thx. I will post updates when I know more.
Unfortunately the phone keeps crashing and rebooting when using it. It just freezes and restarts, and sometimes it takes a long time to restart (seems like a crash loop).
Twice I also saw some graphic artifacts (bright magenta and green) on a small part of the screen.
I don't think this is just a mobile network connection problem anymore.
BTW: I have installed an older version of Xiaomi Service Framework (also the hard reset reverted it to a much older version), but that did not help.
Hey!!
I hope you doing great
Did you manage to solve the issue?
@Fawad Hussain
Unfortunately I could not solve it, so I am not able to use the device anymore.
Btw, as far as I can see there is no current smartphone without a notch/punch hole which is not gigantic (ASUS Rog Phone 6).

Same thing happened to me, I have managed to get it thanks to this guy in the video which I don't understand what he is saying but I just followed his steps, so if you are looking for a solution this video is.
But my device is not rooted and bootloader is locked, I tried ways but don't know how to root it or unlock bootloader properly
