Cant find Network on Kaiser

Hi, I have noticed that a few have already complained about this issue
I'll tell you what happened to me:
I went on holiday from Israel to Jordan for 2 days.
My Kaiser did not roam as my sim wasn't open for Intl. Roaming so it couldn't find a network.
Also I did not charge it so the Battery went dead.
Following that two days I got home gave my Kaiser a full charge and could not get the network back.
I have done many Soft resets, 2 hard resets & spoken to HTC Help Desk.
The only thing HTC could tell me was to send the Kaiser to the UK for repair as they have not heard of this issue before.
Obviously I do not want to send it as I am sure it's not hardware but something else only.
My Kaiser was perched in the US (made in GB)
Network is Cellcom , which by the way I have tried other Sims in me Kaiser since this happened but with no success.
This issue is very frustrating as I feel helpless regarding this issue & I don’t know what to do

First, try just removing the SIM card, then re-inserting it to see if the phone reconfigures itself. You may have to do a power on without sim card, before you re-insert it.
If that fails, do a hard reset so it goes back to factory default settings, then the inserted SIM card should set up the phone settings properly.

looks like we got the same problem, is yours telling "no sevice"? just a "!" on the service icon,right?

I think this MIGHT be a bug/issue
I had this last week for almost 4 hours. I dont think the network was down but if it was then T-mobile did not state anything anywhere
I had reception all day and then suddenly around 5:30pm, I lost it and did not get it back until late evening

Hi , yes its the same problem
It shows the networks arround but it can't register to them only the !.. icon
This has nothing to do with the network carier as the sim works in all my other phones .

Hi i was wondering if anyone has a solution yet ?

I have THE SAME situation. I believe this is the bug which MUST be solved by HTC! Or at least by someone. I still haven't found the solution. Have anybody done??

Has anyone tried what happens when 3G is disabled (GSM mode)?
I'm having the same problem for the last couple of days in the UK with Orange, but when I switch to GSM (Settings->Personal->Phone->Band->Network Type = GSM) it works fine.

I tried to do that - no result. I have made hard reset - no result. I have dowloaded update WM6.1 from offical site HTC and installed it - no result.
Also, during two days, I calculated at least 20 persons who had this problem around the world. I can not believe that nobody researched this problem yet!

I am also suffering from same issue.
My kaiser drop network at around 5PM till 1 hr approx, it hapeend for a week almost then I update radio then it was working ok, but still its not permanent solution.
Now a days my kaiser leaves network anytime and then it will not connect how hard u try, reset, hard boot, flash anything and after sometime suddenly it works.... magic.
I check sim with other phones its working gr8. but with this phone network gives trouble, I dont have 3G here in India, so its running on GSM.
Please somebody find solution, I'll post if I get any solution.

Did you try with manual selection of mobile network (start->Settings->Personal->Phone->Band->Network)?

i did the network setting and put it as GSM and it works like a champ
BUT
i lost the 3G capabilities. One of the reason i purchase Kaiser is because the 3G capability.
using other Kaiser will give me a full 3G capabilities so i start wondering whether this is a hardware issue or software

Network Problem [uk-orange]

I got my Kaiser and from about two days got sometimes problem whit connect to network and to see sim card , its orange network. I put in that simcard to n95 and works exellent but not on kaiser ;/ Need i to change radio ?!
In my room nokia got full network but htc only one point ;/ first days when i got that pda everything was ok .... please help.

anybody now what happend whit my pda ? i dont now if i should give back kaiser to orange branch or try play whit radio but i think radio is new version so i really dont now what to do ;/

I'm not sure what is causing this but I would recommend replacing it if that is an option. For it to suddenly not get reception suggests to me a device fault, rather than reception issues.
If you are within the returns period, take it back for a new one. If not, then it might be worth flashing a new radio.
I found 1.27.12.32 and 15.32 work quite well with Orange.

Have you tried switching to GPRS rather than 3G to see if that makes a difference

So how do you work that one out?
does that mean that local cell is impervious to failure?

T-mobile has been having a lot of problems recently too and the call centre staff are not much use, i havent been able to make or receive phone calls for over a week (i have to dial and 15times before i can get through to anyone) and use my HSDPA properly it keeps cutting on and off, soo annoying!

So better way is give back to get new one , if that happend again i'll possible put in new radio se how is running. My N95 work's well in same place and got avalible 3G :/.

Problem Fixed By assistant from orange shop
3G And 3,5G don't work propertly in my Town in UK.
What Man in Orange shop did is only changed in Band Settings NETWORK TYPE : AUTO to *ONLY GSM*.
He said that some of phones has problem whit auto search proper network type.
Ex. N95 working well whit automatic selection but not my kaiser , sometimes tytn is lost and fully disconnect from network when trying swich to 3G mode.
Now My Tytn is working well but if i whant too use video konference i must swich manualy network Type to AUTO or WCDMA.
So i think my version of kaiser got a bug somewere but im thinking if that is on Radio or on Rom ?

mine is the same, at home I dont get a good enough 3G signal to make or receive calls, so have it on GSM, then if I want to use video calls or www switch it over. hence the reason I suggested it earlier on

Loosing network signal

After weeks of flawless function my Xperia can not find my carriers phone network.
I have updated the phone to the new ROM but that does not help.
The phone finds the SIM card and asks for the code.
Strangly it can connect to internet through my carrier (Tele2).
But I can not get a connection to the phone network and make a normal phone call.
Is something wrong with the phone?
NO, cause with another carrier (Telenor) everything works pefect.
Then obviously something is wrong with my carrier (Tele2) or the SIM-card.
NO, cause when I put my Tele2 SIM-card in another device (Ipaq 6515) it works perfect.
The Ipaq is not a 3G-phone. Can that have anything to do with it?
I'm getting lost here, all help is appreciated.

Hi!
After weeks of flawless function my Xperia has started to lose it's phone network.
I notice it after I wake my phone up from stand by mode.
It doesn't help to turn the phone option off and on in Comm manager, but it has sometimes helped turning flight mode on and off.
Other times I had to restart the phone.
This happens a couple of times every day, after long times of not using the phone. I have not been able to trigger this problem, so I don't know what causes it or exactly when it happens.
Strangly it can connect to HDSPA while it has lost the phone network.
I have also experienced som freezes when I'm flipping between the panels to much.
All help is appreciated, thanks.

I'm using:
ROM 1.02.936.3
Radioversion 1.06.25.29
The carrier is Swedish Tele2.
In Sweden we have GSM-900 and GSM-1800.
Tele2 also provide me with UMTS and HSDPA.

Today the problem became worse.
Even after repeated soft restarts it refused to find the phone network.
Then I change SIM-card to another carrier and it found the network.
I also tried the SIM-card that's giving me problems in another device. Works fine.
So both SIM-cards works. I'm now gonna go with the new carrier during the day to see if the problem come back.
If anyone have any ideas, please help.

All I can say that Xperia sometimes looks for the signal a bit longer it should IMO,
but I also know that carriers have many many problems usually and they're also often responsible for signal drops in some places too.
I know that 'cos I was talking to my carrier many times about it and learned something about it...

have u tried hard resetting the phone or re-installing the software? ..
if u run the sony update software it will give u the option to re-install your phones software - not sure if that has the same effect as a hard reset ..
probably worth trying

Thanks for answering, I have now done a total reinstall and updated the phone to the newest R2... ROM.
The problem remains.

Have you tried disabling 3G/HSDPA?
Chance that you have very poor 3G on your phone, whilst the IPAC is picking up ok 2G.

Thanks for replying.
I disabled HSDPA/HSUPA in the advanced network menu. But it didn't help.
I also tried to choose GSM only in the phone seetings menue. But I could not even change the setting. Just got an error message about not being able to change the network (or something similar).
Is there any other setting that might be worth trying?

Having worked for several phone companies a few years at customer service I know what the procedure is.
-First thing they do is ask you to do a "crosstest", try your SIM in another phone and see if that works.
-You'll tell them that you did that and everything works fine when you use another phone.
-They'll automatically conclude that there's something wrong with your phone (correctly)
-They'll ask you if you could do a hard reset ( You did that too)
-Then maybe they'll try and reset the network (which almost never works)
Basically they'll have no other choice then for you to return it and have them look at the problem / replace your phone.
I don't think we here can help you with your problem

Get a new SIM card. I've seen problems like this before, and an updated SIM card solved it.
The best way would be to test your SIM card in a similar phone, the ipaq not being close because it's not even 3G.

I'm so confused right now.
Got my new sim card today, problem remains.
I call the carrier support and after they've looked the IMEI-number up they say that the phone is barred by an external operator. They won't tell me the reason and by what operator.
So I call the other carriers support and after they've done a IMEI-search they say that the phone is not locked in any way, by them or any other operator. After have been talking to Xperia support they come to the same conclusion. The phone is not locked but agree to that something is wrong, with phone or carriers, and they want me to try with a third carrier.

Final
I've handed in my phone to the seller and got another one back instead.

I have the exact same problem: My Xperia has worked fine for a month. Suddenly I can't register with Tele2 network (tried another Tele2 card as well that didn't work) for calling but have access to data channel so I can surf. Got told by the Tele2 support that my phone was fu**ed up. Got pissed off. Tried a sim for another provider (Telenor) that worked. Called the Tele2 support again. They noticed that I have an old (2g) sim, so they will send a new (3g) card to test if that fixes this mess. It should arrive late this week or early the next. Can't wait...
I'll keep you posted in this thread (or, if I should instead have made a new thread, a moderator may spank me and I will do better).

and since from the start I have bad GSM signal I have like 1-2 lines onli and it go up to 5line but onli from time to time (and then it drops again to 1-2line or none but If Itray to call is working or I get called but I can berly hear them bicose of the bad signal) on O2 network and in T-mobile is the same no mather wher I'm in town or outside of town; I'm in UK
is the phone damaged?? or...

My phone does the same thing
My x1 has had no problem with phone function or network. However, from the last week, the signal began to be lost sometimes, and the machine turned off automatically. and finally today, there is no signal at all.
MY SIM card works with other phones, so, I thought it might be software problem, and hard reseted with new rom. However, still no signal. It keeps looking. Does anyone have the same problem, and hopefully, solution?

I´m using my X1i with Tele2 as my service provider,but i don´t have any problems with signalstrength.. Works just fine..

I know I should've introdouced myself first, and that this is a strange first post, but:
HOLY SMOKES!!!
Xperia has FIVE reception bars????!!!!!
I always thought that 3 is the max value, since it only happened once that it went up to three bars, rest of the time it's maximum 2, usually 1.
I am also on Tele2 carrier, in Sweden that is, and since yesterday, I have no reception AT ALL.
Nothing.
Tried turning off 3G(or whatever it's called), nothing happens.
Tested with 3 other cards (one Tele2, one Telenor, one Telia) - all seem to be working okay. Except that the Tele2 one has slightly lower reception than the others.
Tested with 3 other phones as well - iPhone 3GS, Nokia 5800 Xpress Music, HTC Desire. All of them worked perfectly. Full coverage on that super-fast network thingy(the 3G symbol on iPhone).
Internet is just flowing on other phones - but Xperia is just falling behind in the most important section - reception.
Calls get dropped (2/3 of the calls), I must send same message at least 3 times in order to get it sent, Internet is crappy - if there's any at all.
Any kind of guidance is mostly appreciated.
P.S. A bit of those numbers which seem to be important:
Microsoft Windows MobileR 6.1 Professional

Since all of you seem to have problems with one and the same carrier (Tele2) why don't you simply switch to another one? I once had a problem that was very alike the one described here and after several unsuccessful attempts of the carrier to fix it I simply switched to another one and all my problems were gone.

network not available issues !!!

Hi guys I have note 3 sm-N9005 model made in vitamin.
But network is not available... the problem start after giving my friend the phone for view minute I don't know what happened... no breakage outside is visible. .. I replace the sim but nothing ..I moved from my country to India so that may be my imei blocked in my country but also nothing happened. I have tried everything and all methods that shows in Google claiming will fix the issue but it didn't work .
The funny thing that phone is reading the sim by showing sim service in app menu .
I change the firmware but also no hope.
I open phone from inside no damage is visible.
everything seems works fine accept network.
Plz I need help !!!!!!!!!

P8 lite ALE121 Wifi Problem

Hi i have huawei p8 lite ALE dual sim , my problem is that the phone is suddenly does not join any WiFi network and said ( network access denied ) and i didn't do any thing to it before no roms no root nothing just the last official update the company send to me from about 3 months and after that the phone was working perfectly nothing just from a couple of days it cant join any WiFi network but Bluetooth and 3g are working normally note that the phone doesn't fallen or something like that and thanks

Even my phone has same problem . the wifi is not connecting anymore frome distance ( it will get connected when we keep phone closer to router ) and bluetooth is not working anymore

only way to get this fixed is to take it to the shop. its not software related I had same issue and a few others in the forum had it also. I think they replace the Bluetooth antenna

They replace whole motherboard.

Yup. Chinese phones for you. You need to get it to repair.
