stock nexus/droid live wallpapers?

are their any apks floating around with LWPs like neural network or nexus or galaxy? They were on kaoslegendary but they were buggy, so im now on extROM and LWPs run very smooth, but i cant seem to find an apk for the ones i like. im not a fac of nexusmod, it FCs on extROM.

I'm wondering the same.. I can't seem to find much either.

i will try and pull them out of kaos legendary and post them up here (if possible) but don't get your hopes to high
EDIT:can't find them in kaos legendary (going to try to find them in the nexus one froyo files)
EDIT#2 cant find them there either (sorry, try someone else)

go to theunlockr.com and download the rom eris_LP_0_1.zip and there will be a live wallpapers.apk file and install that file. and they will be the original files there

Here's the .apk extracted from hotwingz2180's link, so you don't have to download the whole 100mb file.
It added the stock wallpapers to my list, but I got force closes when I selected them. Maybe you will have better luck.

thx for the apk! i put it on my phone and everything worked right... but when i try and preview a lwp it just crashes... and if i try and set it, it just goes back to a regular default wallpaper. im on leak root cyanogen 6.

[REQ] Beach Live Wallpaper

Can someone please post the apk for the new beach live wallpaper on the froyo release? I downloaded it and tried to get inside the exe to find it myself but couldn't. I don't plan on flashing this rom just yet so I was wondering if someone could help me out.

Will this only work on 2.2? I'm trying to get this to work on my fascinate but after looking in assets/properties.text, I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated.

It wouldn't surprise me if you must have Froyo to run this live wallpaper. There's not a reason for it, but it might be signed or something for 2.2 only. Sorry

Is there a way to get this to work with 2.1? Really want this wallpaper.

i tried this on my 2.1 captivate, 2.1 dell streak, and 2.2 nexus one and they all crash.

there should be an odex file in the same directory as the apk file. can you please post the odex file as well?

any experts out there have any solution to get it running on 2.1 ?

Just upgrade mine to leaked 2.2(JI6) and it works.

How do I install this? I've only installed live wallpapers using droid explorer, and they have always been .apk files.

The wallpaper works on my vibrant thats using a flashed 2.2 rom the first time I tried it forced closed so I unistalled it and redownloaded it and been workin ever since thanks I lov the wallpaper

yeah it appears to only work on froyo samsung devices as far as I can tell

Reinstall Gallery?

Hey guys, I've tried searching around with no luck. I was working a little too fast uninstalling At&t bloatware and accidentally removed the Picture Gallery. I cannot seem to find a way to reinstall it. I've enabled non-market apps and have tried installing a few apk's from the forums but it always results in "application was not installed". Can someone please help me out?

You can't just reinstall a system app like you would a non market app. You have to take the gallery.apk and use root explorer to place it in the appropriate location, which would be system/app.

Thanks. I had actually tried that too with the same results. Perhaps I didn't have the correct apk. Anyone have a specific version for the captivate?

You're still running stock? If so, you're gonna need to copy and paste both of these files into System/App through root explorer.
The apk is the actual Gallery. You have to unzip the other folder first!!!! Then move that file in with the apk.

That worked thanks! Yea I'm running stock. I've tried may ROMs but all the little bugs really bother me. Stock runs prefect and quite honesty, performance increase isn't very significant. Plus, I've customized it quite well to have most of the same features of 2.2+.

heyy im having the same problem but i have a droid x. i know i need the .odex file. but my gallery is just gallery.apk not the 3D gallery? can anyone help me getting the .odex file and how to install it again? i believe i have the right gallery app. i just need the odex file to go with it and instruction if it different from the ones above.

i tried. people have the same problem but they still have the odex. i dont think it will function without it. at least i've tried n still no good. i'm waiting for a response hopefully they upload yet. but so far no one has. so i'm trying to find a solution wherever i can.

FOR ERRYBODY HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE INCREDIBLE APPS WORKING...you should really take a look at this Galaxy S I9000 ROM I found with a black themed 2.3.2 market that worked flawlessly on the first try without one force close even after the cache had all my installed apps included....just trynna pass the success along y'all.
P.S. you have to download the whole ROM and just take the vending apk out.

[Solved] News and Weather Widget (Genie) - Please help.

I've recently moved over from Acer's Liquid E phone to the Samsung Captivate. Nice upgrade, however; the stock app News and Weather is not available on the stock Rogers Rom or the Cognition 4.3 Rom that I have now installed.
I have tried several different apk's, but to no avail. They install, but i get FC's as soon as i try to add the widget to my homescreen.
Does anyone have a solution to to this problem, such as a working apk?

Download the ROM. U'll find all the apps under /system/app folder.

You can't install it, you have to place it in the /system/app folder in the new rom (on your phone, replacing the one that doesn't work)
Use root explorer to place it.
Then restart your phone.

Oh so nice! I used Super Manager from the market to move the file from my sd card to the /system/app folder. Super manager was a little quirky to get root permission, but it worked after force closing.
I didn't even have to reboot!

I moved over from the Acer Liquid E as well. While the Captivate is faster, it runs out of RAM faster since the Acer had the full 512mb available to the user and the Captivate only allows about 340mb.
Otherwise the Captivate is an upgrade in every other aspects!
