Haha...same thoughts I had when I first saw the video! It definitely is a little on the expensive side, but just look at what you get! It would be sick as just a tablet, but the ability to plug in and boom!! Windows 7, it's pretty amazing.

Yeah, I could do without the Linux, though. I'd love to have Windows 7 starter without the keyboard. By far, this is the closest thing I've seen to what I want...

Lol If you buy the DHD you're going to be amazed by the screen. I thought I knew what was coming but holy c***p when I got the phone I was so surprised by the screen size It was like holding a 50" LED TV in my hands So I see it like this: if you really use the keyboard a lot for SMS'ing, browsing etc. buy the Desire Z but you're going to be blown away if you buy the DHD if you don't have such a big need for a physical keyboard

BTW when I first looked at the Desire Z I thought it had an amazing design. Much better than the DHD but when I really looked thoroughly I actually thought it was kind of boring. And okay if you look at the DHD it also seems like it has a rather boring look but unlike the Desire Z I actually thought it looked better when I gave it a good look

While I agree, I'm stuck at work, so I just VNC'd into my home comp and set up the file to download. Home comp says it will take 2 hours to download, so by the time I get home I can check it out and play around with it. **** just got real. Let the true hacking begin.

I'm in Austin, TX and his speeds are way better than mine..his min speed is the Max I see
Edit, I say that and now I'm sitting in a whataburger 2 miles from home and my speed is double what it normally is at home. Everywhere I work and live my speed is usually pretty dismall at best.
~maybe I set it too high...

Actually.. i love it.
The point of having extra cores is to optimize multitasking for all processes.
Background processes how have threads to make use of.

Well, eventually they will replace pcs... And I'd love to own one quad core phone with some gigs of RAM

Well, th that's old news... I can make coffee right now with my phone... Oc it to max, both cores, tweak gpu and run a heavy system stress test to heat it up... Then I can even cook on it!

I don't think they optimally use the resources they have yet. But i'm glad that the technology goes ahead our ability to give it value, nothing bad can come from this. It's always good to have a reserve you may exploit.
