my sd card wont mount - Nook Color General

i was messing around try to install honeycomb and did something to my nook/sdcard
i was formatting and bla bla bla, but now my nook refuses to mount the sdcard, in adb and in CWR.
it just returns that no such file exists
my nook currently only has CWR installed on it, as i deleted everything prior to attempting HC.
lil help pleaes

did you try mounting it through the NC settings page? or through CWR?

in cwr, ill try booting into my froyo and see what happens
::
in froyo its greyed out , so no dice there either
in adb:
# mount sdcard
mount sdcard
mount: can't read '/etc/fstab': No such file or directory

I am having the same issue. It detects the card but will not mount it

could it have something to do with installing new drivers onto my pc in order to get adb working.
things ive changed since the sd card worked.
flashed CWR onto sd
new NC drivers in win 7 from the adb auto installer
flashed froyo onto nc
i also just tried to push gapps onto the froyo system/ as explained on nookdevs, but always get "push: not found"
im stuck with this base froyo because i cant push apps, and cant sideload anything.
any ideas?
update:
so now ive got my froyo'd nook plugged back into my comp, and i uninstalled the drivers for it in device manager, so it says nookColor in other devices, i have my permissions set for manual install of drivers, but all the drivers ive tried fail to work. ALL of which i have downloaded off of nook threads
the sd card is only recognized by my computer as well. my phone (eris) cannot read it either.

My phone says sd card removed

It happened yesterday when I upgraded to xrom. I have formatted and repartitioned my sd card. Nothing is working. When I connect my sd card to my computer I noticed a lot of weird files were being stored on it. They reappear every time I delete them.
My phone is creating files like this "qxdm_20090910_184004_3.dm" (32 megs!)
hmm....very interesting... reboot into recovery and repair the ext files? it might work. most likely not, but its worth a shot.
I though about trying that but I don't have cyanogens recovery .
Mine just did the "sd card has been removed" thing half an hour ago.
I just copied a new theme .zip to my sdcard and then rebooted into recovery.
I could not apply the update since it could not mount the mmcblk0p1 partition. When boot all the way up to android i get the icon saying that the sdcard has been removed.
i just did an adb push of a file to my /sdcard from the recovery console and it returned no errors...but i cannot see any files on the card.
wtf.
Any ideas?
Yeah my problems still not fixed. I have searched the XDA, forums, Google, none have offered any solution. I have found a lot of people with this same problem.
are you using swapper? if you dont turn it off, this could happen.
i would recommend getting cyans recovery image, it has a lot of tools to debug.
get a live cd of linux/gparted and see if you can see all your partitions. if not, your sd card is most likely dead. try reformatting. if that doesnt help, you may need to get a new card.
if it does show up on your pc, but doesnt work on your phone, then post here again
Have the same problem. Got it right after updating cyanogenmod 4.1.2 I've also been looking for answers and I think I'm just gonna get a new one
I have never used swap. I tried installing cyans recovery image through terminal but it can't find my sd card. I can still update my rom through jfs utility. My sd card works perfectly fine on my computer.
Something like this happened to me a while ago. It first said Sdcard was damaged and i couldnt access it via any file manager. I rebooted and turned out all my apps went up in the air and dissapeared and my fat32 partition was gone to. i reccomend backing up your sdcard and reformatting your card then go froom there
I have already tried all that. Nothing so far has worked :-(. Man this is horrible. I can't even take pictures!

Urgent help needed :(

I have had my g1 for about a year now and I rooted it a few months ago. I've been trying to update the rom but everytime I try to format the sd card on my pc it says no disk found in drive F. I have tried it on other computers. I tried it via usb and a card reader. When I put update.zip into the root folder it says it cant find it. Please someone help! I need my phone to be amazing again!
Is the card formatted in Fat32?
Yeah its formatted to Fat32
you have to assign the a sd card a drive letter.
assign the sd card a drive letter.
How do I do this?
Well I just assigned it a letter and the same thing happens. I really am stuck.
What are you trying to update from? What update are you trying to apply? What recovery are you using? Do you have a file manager on your phone like androzip? If you can answer some questions, you may have a few workarounds....

You could try doin it with your phone (since you said you're rooted) using recovery
If you're using Cyanogen's recovery there's a good guide on androidandme.com
http://bit.ly/61CXFo
If you're using Amon_Ra's recovery I think it's automated, I've never used it before but from what I understand the you have the option to do it from the recovery menu
I'm currently running cyanogen mod 4.1.11.1 I'm not sure of the recovery image and I am trying to update to the next version of cyanogen. I think it might be a problem with my phone :S I really dont know. I have looked online and nothing seems to work I can put any update onto the sd card but when I try to update on my phone it says the file doesnt exist
it should say what recovery you are using in the recovery screen.
connect to wifi spot, download the new amon ra recovery, and move it from the download folder to the root of the sdcard using androzip (from the market).
follow the steps to flash the new recovery in the amon thread.
the next steps from there are up to you.....you can try to repartion your card using the menu option in recovery and then try to mount your g1 to your computer in the recovery menu. the recovery will allow you to choose what size partitions you want (fat32, ext, and swap) and do all of it for you. very handy.
once you get it to mount to your computer, you're in business.
if you think your card is ok as is, you could always download the htc file and cm4.2.6 directly to your g1, move them from download folder to sd root, wipe everything and flash.
either way, if you run into problems with your card, you maybe without phone until you get a good card.
good luck
Hey thanks for the great replies. Still no luck though I downloaded the amon ra recovery image and did what it said but when on the terminal emulator I type mount -a and it says 'mounting /dev/block/mmcb1k0p2 om /system/sd failed: no such file or directory'
Bump! PLEASE HELP ME

[Q] CM7 on SD/CWR issue - cannot enter into recovery mode

hi guys,
1st time poster here.
Managed to get a Nook Color and followed VG's guide to doing the CM7 on SD card install.
Works fine (went with CM7 build 113), established wifi connection, installed CWR 3.2 (the one built within RM) then used ROM manager to download GAPP. Went to install it via ROM Manager...reboots, looks like its going into recovery mode but this is what I get (see attached pic). It just shuts itself down and I can't do anything...
I've tried manually going into recovery mode, and I still get the same thing.
What gives? If someone could give me a pointer on how to fix this so I can install GAPP and Dalingrin's OC kernels that'd be much appreciated!
If you're using VG's method, you need to manually copy the gapps file into the /boot partition of the sdcard. Easiest way is to shutdown the NC, pull the card and stick it back into your computer and copy gapps do the partition that auto-mounts in Windows (assuming that's your pc's OS).
VG's recovery boot is telling you that it didn't find any files to install, so it shuts down. That's normal behavior.
Is it possible to do this on the nook?
I've got the files on the nook but I can't seem to access the boot partition.
I tried putting the SDcard into my PC but Windows doesn't recognise the partition and keeps wanting to format it...
OK, I tried booting into recovery mode WITHOUT the SD card in. Well it went into CWR...
Seems like CWR has flashed itself onto the internal storage of the NC. That's no good since I don't want to disturb the stock BN install!
I need to figure out how to move the gapp zip file into the root path or boot partition of the SD card as file manager will not let me do it....sigh...
Finally worked it out.
Not sure why I couldn't use the SD card in my laptop. Anyway I booted into CWR, inserted SD card into Nook, then mounted USB storage...from there I copied the zip files I needed onto the boot partition and voila! sweeet

[Q] SDcard wont mount?

okay I just got my friends galaxy s i9000
he managed to unmount the internal sd card using odin apparently
I own a htc sensation Im just handy apparently

I enter recovery via the 3 button fix and I can also do download mode and I have drivers installed with odin on my computer
I go to backup and restore and click restore and it says unable to mount /sdcard file or directory doesnt exist
if I go to update via update.zip or anything it says unable to mount /sdcard file or directory doesnt exis
also when I try and mount the sd card it says error unable to mount sdcard
when I try and start the phone it just cycles the samsung I9000 logo
