Im trying to get my old N1 working but nothing that I have tried or researched proved any positive results.
Here are a list of my problems...
I have TWRP finally installed. The phone was rooted before.
I can NOT mount the SD card.
I can NOT mount USB storage.
It does NOT have a ROM installed
I can NOT use adb push to push any files.
All I get is error after error and fails this and fail that...
What can I do?

I have my phone plugged in and all it does is charge. Nothing else. I go to Computer and it doesn't show up. I don't know wha the problem is. The only way I can get files and stuff on it is by direct download onto the phone, or by plugging my SDCard into the SDCard Reader. This is not a problem with the ROM because it happens on 3 different ROMs. Droid Explorer won't recognize it... Help? Thanks =]
Do you get the prompt on the phone to mount the sdcard?
I had an issue where the card would mount and immediately unmount, never actually showing up on the computer. It persisted across a few different roms, then one day it just started working again. I'm just as baffled by it now as I was then.
DDMS always worked to transfer files though.. try that?

No. Nothing. It just started working weirdly one day. I would Mount and go to Computer to open it and put ROMs in it, and then it would just randomly UnMount. It won't even Mount through Recovery. Amon_Ra's 1.6.2 + Pink Care Bare (for my little sister).
i was messing around try to install honeycomb and did something to my nook/sdcard
i was formatting and bla bla bla, but now my nook refuses to mount the sdcard, in adb and in CWR.
it just returns that no such file exists
my nook currently only has CWR installed on it, as i deleted everything prior to attempting HC.
lil help pleaes
did you try mounting it through the NC settings page? or through CWR?
in cwr, ill try booting into my froyo and see what happens
::
in froyo its greyed out , so no dice there either
in adb:
# mount sdcard
mount sdcard
mount: can't read '/etc/fstab': No such file or directory
I am having the same issue. It detects the card but will not mount it
could it have something to do with installing new drivers onto my pc in order to get adb working.
things ive changed since the sd card worked.
flashed CWR onto sd
new NC drivers in win 7 from the adb auto installer
flashed froyo onto nc
i also just tried to push gapps onto the froyo system/ as explained on nookdevs, but always get "push: not found"
im stuck with this base froyo because i cant push apps, and cant sideload anything.
any ideas?
update:
so now ive got my froyo'd nook plugged back into my comp, and i uninstalled the drivers for it in device manager, so it says nookColor in other devices, i have my permissions set for manual install of drivers, but all the drivers ive tried fail to work. ALL of which i have downloaded off of nook threads
the sd card is only recognized by my computer as well. my phone (eris) cannot read it either.
Hey guys. I've been stuck for hours now trying to install Android Revolution HD Rom.
So here is what I've done.
- Unlock Bootloader (HTCDEV)
- S-OFF (revone)
- Super CID
- Installed CWM
I think I installed firmware as well. (not sure what it was, friend told me to install it).
now when I tried to copy ROM file to phone. Can't copy.
CWM can't mount SD card.
Can't use camera and when I try to access gallery it says PLEASE INSERT AN SD CARD
Storage setting - USB storage unavailable. Can't click Mount USB Storage. Phone storage - unavailable.
I have tried searching MTP driver. I don't know what to do from here...
and now when I tried to do adb shell. It says error: device not found.
Also my phone now has WIFI error. Doesn't turn on at all.
All I want is to be able to copy files to phone storage and flash new ROM. Hopefully this will fix all the problems I have.
Please help..
Thanks a lot

I'm thinking possibly the firmware version is for 4.2.2, but your ROM is 4.1.2, hence the problems. Anyone else with more knowledge can confirm this?
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
with jellybean you dont have mass storage your options are adb sideload a rom to your phone or get a otg cable and load one that way
Someone please help. Its been 3 days already w/out my phone... I was unlocking it and went into philz 6 touch and accidently deleted everything. So now i have no os!!
Ive downloaded the 2.16.654 firmware and 3.30651.2 firmware and have tried loading on my ext 128gb sd. When i go to mount the info and load the firmware, it says unable to mount data....
Pleeeeeease help!!
I haven't used Philz recovery in awhile so I can't quite recall how the storage mount options are setup. You'll need to download a ROM to your computer, then boot your phone into recovery. Connect your phone and computer via USB cable, then use the mount option to mount either your internal or external storage. Once you've mounted storage you can transfer the ROM from your computer to your phone. Once finished, unmount storage and then flash your ROM.
Also, firmware isn't flashed through recovery, it's flashed through the bootloader. It won't help you get your phone up & running at the point you're at, either (not to mention the fact that one version is for the HK version & the other isn't). Might want to do some more reading before you turn your phone into an overpriced paperweight.
Or use adb sideload function.

Adb push is way more convienent especially since you would need a computer for sideload anyways...
I prefer not to brick my phone in the first place:thumbup:
Hi all,
been a while since upgrading and always seemed to get help, so now im stuck i thought id bob back and ask again.
my friends father passed away recently, leaving his mobile locked with all family photos stored on the device, the device has no sim card as this has been cancelled and no memory card, the photos are on the actual phone.
the phone works but when powered on it prompts for the pin code. i dont want to try too many attempts and lock the phone. ive tried download mode, then connecting to PC, i can see the memory card but says please insert when i click it.
on my older phone i had CWM recovery installed and could mount the the storage card, will this work for the internal storage too ??
i dont need the phone, i just cant risk loosing precious photos...is installing CWM an option or is there another way of accessing the memory card while still locked.
the only information i have is that is a Galaxy s I9000, i have no idea which version of andriod is running
thanks for reading and hopefully someone can help
cheers craig

Thanks pryerlee
ive been reading and trying to get the adb method 2 to work but i either get unable to CD system or device offline when i type adb devices ive used linux mint 15
ive also tried window 7 but cannot connect or get same. i read further down and one member stated the USB debugging has to be ticked. i obviously cannot do this.
the only way i can get a connection is through the android recovery by hol vol up, menu and power it on. i can list files but i cant access the system directory or the sdcard.
i would like to be able to install CWM then i can try method one to unlock the phone or just mount the storage and hopefully recover the photos that way.
any advice on which update.zip i need to install CWM
thanks in advance...
you could try aroma file manager as it works from recovery, just download the file to the sdcard then install it from recovery that way you can get into system files, but saying that if you can't access the sdcard from recovery then I can't see it working, but no harm in trying. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646108
