PTP's Wallpapers For Android
------------------------------------------------------
Here you will find all my wallpapers either made specifically for Android, or just made to fit on our little screens. Each wallpaper comes in the standard 960x800 size, but you are welcome to request any other size your device might need.
Many of these wallpapers are made specifically to go with a dock or icon set (check link below for my docks & icons) and tend to feature a certain little android, or the name, or even a certain device. Others are work I have done outside of Android, such as my photography, or wallpapers made for computers. In those cases I take the origianl source for the work and remake it for the dimensions of our screens.
Have a request? See something on my DeviantART account you want remade for Android? Post in here and I will happily get to it

Digital Wallpapers
-------------------------------
I always love being creative, but as with everyone else I have my dry periods. Either I got nothing to photograph, or its too cold, wet, what have you. During these times I often turn to making digital creations, almost always desktop wallpapers. These are labors of love which can take anywhere from a few hours, to a few months for me to complete.

My real passion in life is photography; I am never happier then with a camera in my hand. Over the years I have taken thousands upon thousands of photos. Are they any good? You decide; so far I have gotten no real attention or notice for my work, so the decision is yours.

Single Screen Wallpapers
------------------------------------------------------
Somtimes you don't want any scrolling going on, sometimes static is the way to go. These wallpapers are meant either to be used with wallpaper scrolling disabled (For LauncherPro goto Menu>Preferences>Appearence Settings>Disable Wallpaper Scrolling) or with Multipicture Live Wallpaper. Many are made to work specifically with a certain dock I have created. If so, be sure to check out my docks and icons (link in my signature).

First round of wallpapers is up!! Takes a while to get it all setup

nice walls man.. glad to see another texan around on the forum..
Nice walls..
Looking Good....keep them coming!
Added 6 new photo wallpapers!
Decided to add one more digital wall for the night. Got distracted by Bob Ross and his magical voice tonight, so I didn't get them all added.
Loving your wallpapers man, especially the photography ones. Thanks for sharing!
Do you use Flickr at all? If so click the link in my sig and say hello! Always good to meet a fellow photographer!
New Wallpapers!!
The wallpapers used in the preview for my 'Glassy' icon pack are now up!! Check it out!!
New Wallpaper Category & Wallpaper!!
Just added a new category, the last reserved section. These are wallpapers made to be used without scrolling, by either using settings on LauncherPro or one of the apps out there to set single wallpapers.
The first one is for use with the dock of the same name, 'Carbon Footprint'. Click the link in my sig for my docks to get it and see the power of the two combined!!
nice collection u have.....keep it up!
Thanks for the work bro.
The Ember font icons are really small on MDPI devices (like my HTC Hero). It still looks nice but it's barely readable.
New Wallpaper!!
Live.Life.Love is based off some minimilistic wallpapers I have been loving here recently, and has been floating around in my head for ages. But the real inspiration came from an odd source, one which lives in hidden meaning in the wallpaper.
What hidden meaning exactly? Well I will give you one hint: Technically, there are 8 lines of the drops. One line is empty, but still counted. Its at the bottom. Over 9000 internets to the first person to get it
Check it out at DeviantART to download sizes for your desktop!!

I grabbed these 2 wallpapers LONG AGO in one of those ultimate HD wallpaper apps from the market, and fell in love with them instantly. They remain 2 of my all time favourite wallpapers. And I only now noticed they're yours! There's no info where I got them crediting you. I'll PM you the app info later if you want, so you can bug em about your rights as an artist.
Amazingness
A little late to the party, but great stuff. Thanks for the posts.

@Heefy,
Great work! Two quick questions though:
1) Does this one support the landscape as your previous version does?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=397260
2) Does this one also has the hidden shortcuts page as your previous version does?
Thank you!

Hi guys,
The new TaskFacade 4.0 contains full support for theming. And it seems to me that its theme paradigma is now well-developed and complete.
SO, THE ONLY THING WE NEEDED IS YOU!
That would be great if we could provide TaskFacade with a full package of themes as soon as possible.
If you have some experience in graphics or inspiration in Task Facade's enhancement - please show up here, in this thread. I guarantee you prompt and full support.
---
Attached is the standard theme named "Original", that comes with TaskFacade, with its sources.
Please use it to get a clue on how to create your own themes.

THEME CREATION GUIDELINES
--
What is a theme?
In Task Facade, a theme is a directory that contains the theme.xml configuration file and all the files referred in it.
The name of the directory is the name of a theme.
All TaskFacade themes are located in the directory, described in settings.xml file, "ThemesFolder" element.
The drawing sequence
This is how TaskFacade draws its surface:
1. Draw background (either a Wallpaper or SolidFill);
2. Draw each slot in memory:
-- Create a copy of a snapshot in memory;
-- Draw a Frame (Titled or Untitled, Selected or Usual) over it (using either alpha-blending or InnerTransparency color for transparency);
-- If necessary, draw a special Frame (CloseProcess or ProcessDead) over it (using either alpha-blending or InnerTransparency color for transparency);
-- If necessary, draw a title;
3. Copy the resulting slot's image to the background, using OuterTransparency color.

Please see the attachment.

Themes work everywhere. The only requirement is the latest TaskFacade 4.0 Alpha2.
All images in TaskFacade 4.x are scalable, so you need only 2 (portrait and landscape) to look nice in any resolution.

Theme Artists needed

hey GODZSON,
glad to see you here.
the only thing we all should consider: in most cases the user sees only the lower-right corner. sometimes the borderspace (top&bottomlines or left&rightlines depending on slots alignment in user's settings). the rest is only gapspace.
so don't rely too much on the middle of the wallpaper.

by the way,
i wonder if you or other guys over here could fulfill a kind of a "request":
we definetely should have "Manilla" and "MacOS" themes in TaskFacade, and i know there are real profis in this area on the forum.
so guys, please show up!
Here is a WVGA skin that looks ok with manilla.
This is supposed to be used without titles and full screen.
I didn't bother changing the titled images from the original skin...
In fact, this is very lazy... all black background and a 1pixel frame (white/green depending on status).
I also corrected all the sizes, so that the stopped/killed program signs are round and not stretched.
I am dumping it here, perhaps someone else likes simplistic skins.
Thank you to the author for creating this awesome program.
new skin!
hey guys!
love this app, so i figured i would help out and create a skin!
i posted it here in my gloss theme:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=471649
find it in post 2 in that thread
screenshots in post 1 on that thread (or look below )
i skinned:
every icon/frame in the theme!
the screenshot shows a black background, but if you enable the wallpaper, i also skinned that!
put the theme into a cab, which also replaces your settings file to enable only the titlebar, disable menubar, fix some other little things
if you dont want to install via cab, simply move the folder in the zip to your taskfacade\themes folder on device! (i included both cab and folder)
i really like what i came up with, so hopefully you all do too!
enjoy

hey htctoucher,
could you please update your skin a bit.
it's about sizes.
the principle is: maximal size of a wallpaper is screensize (e.g., 480x640 for vga).
however, for frames the maximal size is only quarter-screensize (240x320 for vga). it is because we never show 1 frame.
it will save good amount of memory for users of your skin.
3 new themes
here you go!
looks like this:
this is a mock up, because i didnt have time to take screenshots, but it looks like this (the only difference is that the titles go all the way across the snapshot instead of being bubbles) with support for landscape as well:
the top is the "gloss with title" and the bottom is the "gloss title below"
"gloss bottom title" has the title on the bottom of the snapshot just like the original gloss
"gloss bottom title" and "gloss with title" have small icons on the top right like above preview (first level) for dead and close icons
"gloss title below" has large close and dead icons like the preview above (second level)
also, if you want to use a solid background, it looks quite nice with 10,10,10 as the background color (offblack)
hope you like it!
its basically an updated gloss
if you make these default i will delete them from this post
thanks for the great app and for working with me to make these possible!
htctoucher
here is a preview of the macos update i am working on
and a full view of the wallpaper:
everything is made by me.. including the background wallpaper
i tried it on my qvga device.. but it doesnt look that great.. too much tearing.. maybe on vga itll look better

Yeah, but I just figured out how to skin. It's a lot easier then I thought. No coding or anything like that. Just changing some .png's with photoshop and done. I will just continue to make my own little skins and keep it at that.
nice..
we need more skins for it anyways

I would recommend uninstalling/reinstalling the app. Then see if the default skin shows the weather icon and other data. If so, follow rules listed above for proper skin installation. Hope this helps.

any ideas how bw organizes the .pngs of the numbers and am/pm...i've tried numerous sizes of the png's and i can't seem to get them numbers smaller without having huge spaces in between. Also the am/pm never lines up with the bottom of the numbers.

Not 100% sure how they organize the .pngs but what I do is just take a working skin and keep the sizes of those. For example, the sense ui skin numbers are sized 88x112. So when I go into photoshop, I reduce the size of the font until it fits inside that area perfectly. Works for me. And the AM/PM thing is like that even in the default skin. I don't think it will ever be perfectly lined up.
Update: I stand corrected. I'm working on a coca-cola skin and it appears to allow me to have the am/pm on level with the numbers. I don't have time to get into the specifics, on the way to work, gotta go...

3x1 = 355x124px
4x1 = 475x124px

HowTo
Select the Desktop Visualizer widget size you want to use, then the matching icon size.
For 1x1 icons select Desktop Visualizer (Small).
In Desktop Visualizer remove the icon label and set touch effect to none for the best look.
Things noticed while playing around with different icon sizes
Creating the perfect look with tiles is quite tricky. Exact pixel "mathematics" don't really work out with the different widget sizes.
According to some calcualting I did, the icon sizes should be different, than what they finally turned out to be.
For example the width for the 4x1 icon is 470px, even though the raw image size is 475px.
But when actually using 470px as raw image size, the spacing between the tiles gets reduced to 8px, instead of 10px.
I actually did several drawings on plain old paper to determine the pixel sizes for all icons.
But it turned out to be another case of theory VS praxis. So in the end, these are the icon sizes that work out perfectly in real life.
I haven't tested several configurations, like a homescreen with only 1x1 icons. That's what the end user will have to do.
And that's why I need some feedback on your different configurations.

thank you for this awesome work. really appreaciate it.
will try them out when i have time.
Great share, thank you!
I see you have edited your post.
Previously you asked for making these fit on a Droid X.
It's screen has 54 more vertical pixels and since I didn't keep all the sources, I cannot create matching icons without going through a crapload of work.
Just resizing the current ones would lower the quality and if you don't wanna lose aspect ratio, then you'd also gain width, not just height.
So I gotta go with no, it was meant for 800x480 and I'm stickin' to that.
Bit busy right now, but hoping to have more finished soon.
PS: Added a fixed V4.1 + previews, so you can see what's in it.
Very nice icons !

Hi, all! Just wanted to share my process for creating my home screen layouts. It's pretty simple and it's been relatively the same way I've been making my home screen designs for many years. There's been a clear pattern I favor (one home screen page only) and it's been serving me well for a long time. Just wanted to include some more examples and share some tools that I use in case any of you wanted some help recreating some of my designs or to help inspire you to make something unique to your tastes. It's a really fun process, IMO.
The first and most important tool that I use is GIMP, which if you don't already know is a free image editing program that you can download here: https://www.gimp.org/
There's TONS of tutorial videos on YouTube on how you can use this program, it's not difficult to use so you'll get the hang of things pretty quickly, IMO. Theoretically, you can create my themes (with maybe more capabilities) solely using Zooper Widget and/or KLWP but for me using GIMP to make the background wallpapers, the color schemes and icons, basically everything but the widgets, is much easier to make on my laptop using GIMP.
Here's some screenshots of a quick process using layers on GIMP and how it all looks.
I start with the 12x12 grid template that I created to help move everything into its proper place, then add the layers on top and make adjustments as I go along.

Here's the 12x12 Nova Grid Template:
How about some color pallets to help make your choice of what color to use?
RED - PINK - PURPLE
DEEP PURPLE - INDIGO - BLUE
LIGHT BLUE - CYAN - TEAL
GREEN - LIGHT GREEN - LIME
YELLOW - AMBER - ORANGE
DEEP ORANGE - BROWN - GREY
BLUE GREY
I have a folder on my laptop full of icon packs that I've collected over the years. I just place them onto the wallpaper (as layers on GIMP) and use the grid template as a guide to put them in place. I use a blank Zooper Widget to make hotspots for every individual app in that area of the home screen, if you get what I'm saying.
This is my current layout that I'm using on my Note 8 - 12x12 Grid using Nova - Zooper Widget Pro - Power Toggles (Painless Apps)
Blank version without the icons
With the bottom icons only
Zooper file for the top widget that has the Time, Date and Storage Information - For the Micro SD info inside the Zooper Widget settings you need to find the name of your file path to your SD card, in my case it was simple "0000-0000". Use a file explorer to find your file path name to your card.

Finally, here are some videos that I've made over the years to showcase some of my home screen creations. Some of them are a tutorial of sorts and the others are just showcasing a specific theme.
This first one I believe was my first video I made to show how I put together the final result of a layout. After all the editing is done on GIMP this is basically how things would get put together on the phone's end. I used to use Buzz Launcher for a long time before switching to Nova Prime I think when I got my Note 5. Most of these videos were made showing my layouts on Buzz Launcher but the principle is basically the same on Nova Launcher. Still using a 12x12 Grid.
S3 Layout
Enkel Lidenskab
I think this was made on my Note 3 or 4
SVART OCH VITT
This theme here was one of the few that I created that used more than one homescreen page. I believe it was made on my S3 or Note 4.
WIJH
This layout shows how I used to incorporate live wallpapers underneath my custom wallpaper. Latest versions of Buzz Launcher no longer allow you to do this and I haven't seen any examples of Nova allowing you to do this, either. That is, unless you just use a Zooper Widget to create the wallpaper in pieces but like I said, I prefer to just do that on my laptop using GIMP.

Well, that's basically it. I hope you've found this guide to be useful. If y'all have any comments or questions please feel free to post below. Have fun and see you around the forums!
Just wanted to share a few more details on how I put my themes together. For those of you using GIMP, here is the xcf file for my latest theme. When you open this in GIMP you'll get a better picture of how I put this all together.

So I start with what do I need on my home screen. I need my most used apps, my favorite app folders, my power toggle widget and finally my combined widget for the time, date and storage info. I look at the 12x12 Grid Template and decide where I'm placing all of that.
This is how it looks with the lines so you can see how I managed things:
Just going by this recent layout I'm using, once I have everything placed where I need it I can start choosing the background wallpaper and save different versions so I can swap my phone's look throughout the week at my whim. The wallpaper doesn't have to be the exact size of the middle image space but you need to re scale it to at least 1122 pixel height and you can just drag it across to frame it how you'd prefer. If you've got this opened on GIMP you'll understand what I'm saying much clearer.
Here's another Zooper Widget template for my center clock layout in case anyone wants it:

I hope these new details help. Keep sharing any questions you may have and thank you for all the kind words!
Amazing work
I truly appreciate this
visiones antiqua is one of the most amazing homescreens i've seen. This post pretty much epitomizes why I like Android. Bravo.
Thanks, guys! I really appreciate the kind words! Lotta work I put into these themes but they're fun to make and I enjoy helping out my community around here!
So, how do you change the main wallpaper? Do you go into GIMP every time and just re-upload it Nova?
How do you get each little section clickable in nova? Do you import it to KLWP?

I just save different versions of the same layout on my phone so that I can swap wallpapers depending on what I feel like.
The toggles on top is a widget
The time, date and storage info is a Zooper Widget
The folders in the middle (Tools/News/Media/Photography/Office/Games - I just drag from the the app drawer and make them transparent so the wallpaper comes through
The icon rows on the bottm launch from Zooper Widget hot spots.
This is fantastic. Thank you very much
Awesome work. Thanks
So I downloaded GIMP and also have PS. How am I to use your template considering it has the clock in it and all the other stuff? Or does that not matter?
Also, if I want to create my own template, whats the picture resolution supposed to be at ?

You don't need to go by my recent layout example, you can just use the grid template to help make your own but you can take my screen shots and chop them up and use whatever part you want. The clock is a Zooper Widget and you can download it from the link in the first post. Let me fire up GIMP and provide a more detailed description of my current home screen layout so you can see what size is what and where. I'll update my first post when I'm done. Hang tight!
Great stuff, thanks for sharing.
Post #2 updated with further details and files. Hope that helps!
@roaduardo do you have the first post's wallpaper without any icons, but including the shadows of each layer?
Also please remind me which widget is the top toggles widget?
Thank you!

Here ya go! The top widget I made using Zooper Widget Pro, the template of which I've also included in the first post. Install Zooper Widget Pro if you haven't already and just use that template file I included. If you run into any issues let me know.
Thanks a lot! Will try & revert back in case I face any issues
