Did you try re-running the RUU? If not, try it... might work.

Re run the RUU, if it boots to that it should still work. If that doesnt work, use the fastboot method (hold down the vol down and the power button until it boots to the white screen)

recovery work ?
I installed the eViL-NXSense-HD-v.1.1_BETA in order to get HTC Sense on the Nexus One. I followed the instructions set out on this forum post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=791151 I got everything up and working and it looked great. After approximately 2 weeks after I had everything working, the phone restarted and would only boot into hboot mode. The volume up/down and power button are no longer responding, so I am unable to get into recovery or and other mode for that matter. I can't get into fastboot either. I tried pulling the battery several times for different lengths of time (2 days being the max) and still would only boot into hboot mode and the buttons pushes would not do anything. Is there anything I can do to recover this phone, or is this one bricked?
One other thing I noticed. After one time rebooting, the buttons did respond and I was able to get into recovery. After getting into recovery, the track ball would work, but I couldn't push it down to select anything. After about a minute, the screen flickered and I lost all control again even though it was still in recovery. I am assuming something happened to the hardware, but wanted to post here first.
Hboot Screen shows the following:

Your volume buttons don't function well - most likely VolumeDown is stuck, and that's why your phone boots to HBOOT and you're unable to navigate there. It's most likely a physical problem, not SW.
In that case try booting up while holding vol+ that way the phone might get confused since it thinks that only one can be pressed at a time then maybe it will boot into the ROM, just a theory may or may not work but it's worth a try. And if it boots then you'll know.
Also try holding the trackball when you boot up it might boot into fastboot then from there you can fastboot boot recovery.img
my friend got a g1 and it was stuck in clockwork when get got it. im able use clockwork
here is some info
goes into clockwork,
goes into fastboot with Serial0 when i try to go to the bootloader
hboot v .95
fastboot 32B
put DREAIMG.nbh in the root of the SD card
when i start the phone and hold the camera +power it goes to fastboot, white screen flash and screen quickly flashes back into fastboot with the colored bars and white one on bottom. with serial0 as the only text in middle, when i press back button, that text disappears but still siting on the same screen hoping someone here can help me flash this back to stock i can do the rest myself
thanks!
edit: it was the SD card format. nvm
Hi all,
Got a HTC One. After a regular system update, the phone rebooted, showed the HTC logo, then a black screen with a phone and a red triangle and exclamation mark.
I've got into the Boot loader screen (Power+Vol Down), and try to boot into Recovery, but when I select that option, it reboots straight back to the red triangle/exclamation mark.
I figured, fine, do a factory reset, so I did that, and it spent a few minutes on a screen with a green circular arrow, then rebooted but then hung at the HTC screen (the first thing that appears when the phone is turned on), and sits there for hours.
Power Off/reboot just hangs at the HTC screen.
I've been reading guides on how to flash a new ROM, but they all seem to rely on booting into Recovery, which I can't do. I've installed the Android SDK and used ADB, but it doesn't detect the phone (when it's sitting at the boot loader menu, or anywhere.
Original phone ROM was branded from Telstra Australia.
From the Bootloader screen:

If your phone is new, then send it back under warranty

The ota installation failed, probably because a missing or corrupted file in /system or in /data/preload. you could have entered the menu (vol+ and power) to see the exact error, but now its to late

This red triangle IS the stock recovery, you have to hold volume + and push power then release both button to open the menu.

Yes you can, but you need a CUSTOM recovery to flash roms (TWRP recovery). will not work with a stock recovery

ADB can only work when the phone is booted in the OS or when booted in a custom recovery. from the bootloader, only fastboot commands will work

If you don't care about the warranty, unlock the bootloader, flash twrp recovery 2.6.3.3 and flash a custom rom.

Ahh. I've looked at heaps of guides on using stock recovery, and I've never seen this mentioned before.
Phone isn't under warranty. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
