T-Mobile Valentine's Day Sale - HD7 General

Anyone else taking advantage of their sale this weekend? All Smartphones are FREE with a 2 yr. contract. The wife and I have been month to month since December, so I think were gonna take advantage and pick up some new phones.
Pretty sure i'm gonna get an HD7, after seeing a lot of vids, threads, playing with it in store it seems like a really solid device and after using Android for 2 yrs it seems like it's gonna be a nice change. Originally wanted a Dell Venue Pro, but the HD7 will be FREE , and the DVP is having a decent amount of issues at the moment.
The wife wants to stick with Android, she'll probably get a my touch 4g..
Anyway..just seeing if anyone else is taking advantage of this sale

I would if I weren't an Even More Plus customer. I did however buy one outright and couldn't be happier. I am eagerly awaiting the first update, but even without it everything is grand.

Yeah we were on even more plus, gonna go back on contract though. I think their unlimited plan with 3000min is $150 right now

I can't go back on contract. My bill after taxes is $131. That is 2 lines, unlimited talk and unlimited data (believe it or not we don't text). Even if I want to add unlimited family text, it takes me up to $150 after taxes. That's unbeatable for unlimited everything on 2 lines.
I just buy phones outright now. I more than make up the savings, especially when you bring in the Craigslist factor.

My Wife and I got the HD7 this weekend and love them. i came from The Vibrant and she came from a blackberry

I convinced my dad to get an hd7 off the tmobile website
free...no rebate and it should be here tuesday!
i love my hd7

yep, took advantage of it...I got the HD7 the wife got a mytouch 4g...I tried to convince her to go for windows phone 7, but she stuck with Android.
Great deal none the less...phones were free and we got the special they're running on 3000 minutes, unlimited everything: $150/month
It was kind of annoying how much the sales people were pushing Android, they really didn't have anything good to say about windows phone 7...multiple times they repeated "yeah all the workers here use Android, we all have mytouch 4g's"

That sucks to hear. You'd think they'd be partial to all platforms.

Yeap, just picked up the HD7 from the T-Mobile site. Can't beat free. Got a Moto Defy last month that I'm enjoying but I guess I'll give it to the wife. That's if I can convince her to take it. She had a T-Mobile Tap for a bit last year and it left a bad taste in her month concerning touch screens. lol She's using a Samsung Gravity II now but I think I can convince her the Defy is better device.

Why carriers aren't offering early upgrade price for HD7?

So I was all pumped about getting an HD 7 and thought since WP 7is brand new to market, they would be opening up upgrade pricing to anyone. But, have come to find out, that's not happening. They can do it with iPhone releases and its just OS updates as WP 7 is. Someone tell me I'm not going to have to pay full price, especially since I got my HD 2 about 8-9 mths ago and was the only reason I switched to T-mobile.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Anyone?.....
I called Tmobile and they said they dont have any info until later this week. Cant wait! I hate my Samsung Vibrant
the hd7 is on O2 not t-mobile, this could be one reason they wont offer an upgrade to it.
You can buy it on pay as you go for £380 (really good price) or do what i did and sell your phone and use the cash to buy out the contract then get a new one (my dad bought my desire and I paid off my contract and still had some cash left to buy my wife some jeans and shoes).

Yeah, I called them too and they seemed pretty firm on not budging on allowing any kind of early upgrade for me (said to wait 6 mths and I started service with them in Mar. getting my HD2) at release time. They said I'll just have to wait until it comes out and could see what happens with them selling it for a lower\non-contract price.

It's on Tmobile here in the USA exclusively. I thought about selling my HD2, but I really want to keep that phone forever. I've sold every other one (sometimes not needing to) and everyone now and then I regret it. So, I promised I would never give up the HD2. It was the beginning of an era and the best thing winmo ever ran on.
Oh oops my bad i keep forgetting that there is a world outside of this tiny island lol

LOL! No, I totally understand and maybe $500 or so will be worth it. It's just the uncertainty of WP7 (although I'm sure I'll love it) missing some of the things I've become accustomed to.
The only time Tmo budges on upgrades is if a customer has been with em for more then 2 years or/and is over 14 months since their last upgrade and with that said all that depends on the rep/sup you talk too...only reason is tmo is coming out with so many new phones between now and Q2 due to the new hspa+ network....and if they continue to hand out early upgrades each time a new phone comes out we are losing a lot of money...also with it being around Christmas all tenure customers are calling in wanting full discounts....and when customers are wanting a full discount on a $550 phone before thier commitment time that difference comes out of tmo pocket....Tmo sells the phones not make em...
Remember you're not dealing with ATT or apple here so u cant really compare it to the iphone release....maybe u can call HTC and see if they'll switch it out for you lol im just saying...You made a choice of signing a 2 year contract 8-9 months ago to get a discount on the HD2....Tmo is out to make thier customers happy but everytime a new phone comes out we cant continue to hand out cause YOU feel its the right thing to do since u switch from a diff provider...They still have to run a company
And just so you know the only reason ATT offered the upgrade early for the iPhone 4 is because June 1st they increased their ETF to $375 so they were getting thier customers under this new contract policy by giving out early upgrades when the Iphone 4 released on July 27th
Sooo with all that said good Luck on getting that full discount...u might talk to the right rep and they will work it out for u

Man, you must work for them for sure Especially with the "we" references. lol and JK. But, I understand your point and I'm sure tmob makes that difference up in the price I pay for service Or else they would never offer or upgrade people early. And besides that, I don't even care if they update my contract and extend 2 yrs from the day they give me the discount. So, increasing my contract every time I do that would benefit them, I would imagine? And I don't want to change phones every time one comes out. ONLY a great one from HTC, which at most may be every year, as slow as we get things here in the US. lol. Didn't know the stuff about ATT and the iPhone upgrade, so thanks for that piece of knowledge. All I'm saying is, I can disconnect a line and add a line at Wal-Mart, for cheaper (don't really care what phone number I have), so Tmob might as well put that money in their pocket and save the hassle. I have 3 lines (all ready to buy a new phone) and still have 2 lines with ATT. So, it's no joke with my service and ATT learned the hard way about not keeping up with device releases as they lost a lot of people for simply not carrying and providing what their customer's asked.

Miss my Aria

I bought the Aria in its first days, when there were only 2 roms not including stock!(CM7 and liberated froyo) and im glad to see tht this beast has come so far! Its little but it will compete! now i have a Cappy running at 1.6 GHz wish i still had my old aria...
Wish we could have achieved S-OFF sooner tho...
Sent from my Cappy at 1.6 GHz, V6 supercharger, KAK tweaks, and 3G booster using the XDA Premium App!
The Aria is a great phone! I've had mine since last July and have flashed every ROM that has come through the development section. Currently I'm running the Evolve AOSP rom that came out not to long ago, loving it.
Sadly my days with the Aria are coming to an end though. Due to some issues with ATT dealing with Tech support, Actual Service and Customer care I'm paying the ETFs on both of my lines, switching to T-mobile and waiting for my T-Mobile G2Xs to arrive today.
That's a bold move. Is it costing a lot? I've thought about it. And what do think will happen when the -- very unfortunate, but probably inevitable -- t-mobile sale goes through?
It's will run me about 180 dollars a line but I'm not willing to deal with ATT for the remainder of my contract. Besides the technical issues I'll be saving about 40 dollars a month on my plans and we get the G2Xs for free. Since I'm in the military I get a 15% discount and waived activation, so no up front costs besides the ETFs.
I'm hope that the merger does not go through, however even if it does at least I have a T-mobile contract for two years regardless of what happens. After the two years maybe things have changed.
One other thing to note, T-mobiles ETFs are considerably less. They start at 200 dollars, 100 for 12 months and I believe 50 for the last 6 months of a contract.

I'm jealous!!! I'm a former iPhone user who wanted to try Android and unfortunately I started with the Aria. It is an incredible slow phone that would have been perfect for my 11 year old. Thanks to AT&T and their lack of customer service, I'm stuck with this phone for another year. I've looked at everything to get out of my contract....nothing! Thank God for this forum for helping me screw with my phone (Root) and have a little fun with it. When I see the new Android phones out there I want to cry. I'm hoping I can terminate before my contract is up, since I don't want to wait 'till next July for a new phone and I am absolutely NOT re-upping with those Mother Bucklers at AT&T!!!!!! AT&T sucks!!!!!!!! Heck, I'll get a Tracfone before I go back to AT&T!!!!!!! Congrats my Military Friend, stay safe and enjoy your non-AT&T Phone!!!!!!!

That's unfortunate. Its been my experience that All Carriers have their issues with things. I can't complain about att anymore than I could when I had t mobile or Verizon. In fact the only complaint with att was how slow they got going with Android..but they have an excellent selection of phones now and the service had been great for the two plus years i've had them. I've never had to deal with customer support though so I can't vouch for that...but I guess that's a good thing. As for the Aria its been a great phone for me since I got in June of 2010 and now it will be a dedicated work phone in a week when I finally upgrade.

You know, you guys made me think of a question.
What will become of your Aria after new phone??
Maybe someone can create a Console Aria ROM to run like a Sega Genesis or a DS!
I love my aria. But I am sad because most of the good stuff is HDPI. My aria expires next september, and I will keep it in the case for backup. And when next september comes, I will make sure I get a phone that can run MIUI.

Will Verizon have the Samsung Galaxy S II or a decent dual core 4G Android soon?

Sprint has HTC Evo 3D and Samsung Galaxy SII
T-Mobile has G2X, HTC Sensation, MyTouch 4G
Verizon has... well, the Bionic
I really want to stay with Verizon, they have the best network and the absolute best more reliable network.
So, anybody knows if they will have a decent dual core phone any time soon?
I need
1) descent screen. Super AMOLED cool, but any phone will do. HTC and LG usually have good screens. I love the screen of my G2X for instance
2) 1GB of RAM, or maybe even 728MB, but preferably 1GB
3) At least 1GB of space for apps, I believe that is called Internal Storage
4) 4G. At least >= 4000 kbps/s inside malls
5) Nvidia Tegra >=1Ghz would be nice
If you Google it you will find that VZW is not going to sell the GSII because they don't think it has enough to compete with the IP5 when it drops. They have a newer offering from Samsung called the Prime that they hope to have on the market in time for the holidays. Possibly as early as next month.

Well my main concern if I switch to Spint is that I will have to pay around $80 per month or something like that
I don't have a problem with having two carriers within the family, but with Verizon I only have to pay a cheap $50 per month price
I like the fact that Sprint has the Samsung Galaxy SII, the HTC Evo 3D
They even have a Motorola Dual Core as well
All 4G, Dual Core, nice screen, good RAM
So 3 devices vs 1
From what I am reading, if I use this phone from Verizon, I will use it for at least 6 months, till January or something
I know how technology works, and how long it takes for new devices to appear
example the GTX 600 series will appear in January, AMD Bulldozer still hasn't arrived, Intel took forever to fix their motherboards, and 6 months after they released the Intel Sandy Bridge, they were still releasing new chipsets
Here is how much it will cost me to switch carriers for the next 6 months
If I stay in T-mobile and stay in no contract
$120 every month.
Total: $720
If I move to Sprint
$90 per month
I need to finish paying $350 to T-Mobile for the phone, Let's say I sell the phone in $200, $150 out of my pocket
$250 for the Samsung Galaxy S II
I still need to pay July and August to T-Mobile, so add another $240
Total: $1180
If I stay in Verizon
$50 per month
I need to finish paying $350 to T-Mobile for the phone, Let's say I sell the phone in $200, $150 out of my pocket
$350 for the Droid Bionic
Let's say I sell the Bionic for $350, let's say the Samsung Prime is $600, so $250 out of my pocket
I still need to pay July and August to T-Mobile, so add another $240
Total: $1290
In theory I want to stay with the cheapest one (T-Mobile), but again, I don't like them
I had no-contract plan with them, but now those plans are no existing anymore.
So I can't drop down to the $99 plan I had before, freaking idiot$..., they told me the ONLY way to drop my price is to make a new 2 year contract.
So if I want to cancel with them I have to pay them a ****load of money since I am still paying the phone
So even if T-Mobile is the cheapest, I wouldn't trust them with my credit card or bank account anytime soon, so I won't stay with them no way
I think I'm going to stay with T-Mobile, and then someday try to switch to Sprint
If I can switch to Sprint this week, that would be great.
If I can't, then I don't see what's the point of doing this deal with Verizon. I am 110% sure that I don't like this phone
now, with T-Mobile I had no contract, so I had the ability to go up/down in plans. Now those idiot$... removed all those plans, so they respect my rate but they won't allow me to upgrade/downgrade
So another nasty tactic would be to allow T-Mobile to send us to collections and hopefully we can go to court and explain to the judge that they can't destroy my plans, and then expect me to pay $120 forever
They actually want me to pay $120 per month, for 2 years (until I finish paying my phone), because those idiot$.. just say they don't have no-contract plans anymore.
So screw them, I haven't decided yet if I can sue them or if it's even worth my time
Anyway, if I just forget about them, maybe throw them a bone here and there, here are my new estimates
If I stay in T-mobile and stay in no contract
$120 every month.
Total: $720
If I move to Sprint
$90 per month
$250 for the Samsung Galaxy S II
Total: $790
If I stay in Verizon
$50 per month
$350 for the Droid Bionic
Let's say I sell the Bionic for $350, let's say the Samsung Prime is $600, so $250 out of my pocket
Total: $900
Now, my question would be
If Sprint and Verizon have good reception inside malls, Best Buy, Frys, Walmart... and the price is around the same
Which one would you chose?
My main problem with Verizon is that they only have ONE FREAKING PHONE that works with 4GB, and has a dual core CPU
So anyway, even though I hate doing this, tomorrow, if for some reason I don't sign up with Sprint, I am going to stay at $tupid T-Mobile.

Not worth it bud. You don't want ANYTHING remotely bad on your credit report, especially in these economic times. Creditors are looking for an excuse not to lend. You might not need a loan now, or in the near future, but you never know if an emergency comes and you get denied because of a not paid phone bill.
Just my 2 cents...

That's not even close to true. Verizon sees no point in selling the GSII because the Prime is the same phone except for the LTE radio and Ice Cream Sandwich (reported to be the first ICS phone).
The IP5 will probably be the IP4 running the iPad2's SoC and iOS5; the GS2 has been out for many months and can already run with that as can other devices.

I know, but hey, not to brag or anything, but if I work hard I can make all the amount that I owe them (including the phone cost and the 2-3 months I will be behind) in a couple of days
The problem is that I have a NO CONTRACT plan with T-Mobile
Somehow I ended up stuck at $120 per month because those plans don't exist anymore
so they can't discount me or anything
From what I know, they do send you to collections after 3 months.
So I can screw them and after 2 months and 29 days just pay them the cash and shut their mouth
I just dislike companies being dishonest
If I have NO CONTRACT how on earth did I ended up with such a high fee?
I can't even remove or add features to the plan, it's ridiculous

Well, from the daily reading I've been doing it IS a superior phone to the GSII. It isn't even going to run the same processor! It is based on Samsung's in-house Exynos CPU at 1.5 GHz with 1GB RAM. It will not be using the TI processor like the duece. The phone has a metal body. That's right, a Samsung with a metal body. It will also sport a 2000 mAh battery. On the soft side, there's a new browser that is said to be leaps and bounds ahead of anything else on the market.
Obviously, this close together it isn't extensively different, but quite a bit so at e same time. The plan is to have it on the market for the holiday shopping season. Probably within the month or not a lot longer.
Your back? You said good bye already what gives chief?
Just a heads up sprints unlimited data will be going away soon enough. Or at most switch to a $30 unlimited so either way sprint will be going up

Based on my inside sources, the processor will be infact a TI processor, specifically the TI OMAP4460, and it will be housed in a plastic body to be released sometime in October, though that could change. Also, another tip: the official name of the rumored Prime has nothing to do with the word Prime or Droid, and that's all I can say about this rumored phone without getting into too much trouble.
Hands on reviews posted on-line dis-agree with your claims... I have been waiting since last year's CES for the Bionic. Waited thru all the delays/scraps. After 9 months, the phone looks to me to have landed with a resounding thud !!

Well yesterday I went to Sprint and man that phone is absolutely gorgeous
However, my HTC Thunderbolt does a lot of the things about the same
Yes the Samsung Galaxy S II is thinner, and the screen a bit bigger
the MAIN difference is the screen quality, man NOTHING can beat Samsung now a days
However, I would like to know if there are news about HTC Vigor or the Prime
I am having a hard time figuring out why I should change to Sprint just for one phone.
Let's say Verizon does comes up with a phone that has dual core 1.2Ghz or 1.5Ghz in the near future, then that phone would be the best
the Samsung Galaxy S II was able to achieve 8000 kbps/s
The HTC Thunderbolt was able to achieve 16000 kbps/s
So, none of them is a clear winner, one has bigger more beautiful screen, but the other has faster internet
Anyway, I think I'm going to try the Samsung Galaxy SII, just because I bought the HTC thunderbolt cash, so I can cancel the contract, and I can go back to Verizon any day I want
Right now it's the time to test all carriers (I am testing all except AT&T which has a limited bandwidth for customers), and decide
My co-worker is amazed by his S2! He suggested I switch out of Verizon....Now! I laughed and told him my unlimited plan is keeping me with Verizon. He measured the speed of the phone and it was twice the speed of the bionic. Maybe that phone will come to the Verizon network as the Samsung Function soon!

I to went into sprint and played with the sgs 2 and it is VERY nice. I was thinking about returning my bionic and going with sprint also. I know the quadrant scores are for losers but I was able to get about 2400 with my bionic. I ran it on the sprint store phone and was able to get repeat 34-3500 scores! However, I was only able to hit 4mbs down and .645 up on the same phone. My bionic in the same location hit 16 down and 5 up.
Latest word on PhoneArena:
Vigor release: 10/20
Prime release:11/3.
Take it with a grain of salt, but that's the latest word.

AT&T Nexus cost more??

**Warning** Kind of a long read but I'm curious to other peoples thoughts.
Wanted to share my experience today. I went into a Corporate AT&T store planning on upgrading to a 32GB MB Nexus 6 on the Next program. I'm good with it being carrier locked and I'll just remove the AT&T bloatware. I was excited that they had them in stock, however I noticed that the retail price was for $682.99 instead of $649 like Google has it for. I asked the rep and he was surprised and looked it up. I told him that other carriers were selling it for $649 also, and he verified it but couldn't explain it and mentioned that they can't match it either. I asked why do I want to pay like $30 more for it to be carrier locked and have bloatware installed (okay with it but not gonna pay for it).
At home, I called 611 to see if they would match it and see if they knew why. The first rep basically said that was the way it was and didn't really seem interested. The second time I called (I know now maybe I'm crazy but didn't think its right), I asked for their loyalty department cause I know they have more power. The guy there said he was being told that its not ATT but the Manufacture that is dictating the price. I told him that Motorola has it for $649 on their website and it doesn't make sense that they are letting everyone else sell it for one price and making AT&T sell it higher. Told them that I may change carriers if AT&T thinks that its good business practice to charge more then everyone else.
I want to point out that:
1. I was never rude or demanded anything. Just told them that I hope it gets pushed up and corrected.
2. Realize that this is a first world problem and I could just go purchase it from Google or somewhere else but I feel its the principle. Its not right to charge like $30 more and add to the fact that I would have paid higher taxes.
3. They still ended up not matching the price but did offer me a $50 discount off the contract price but told them I didn't want a contract.
The extra cost is for the high quality paint used for the death star logo on the back. (The one that comes off if you stare at it hard enough.)
Actually, I didn't mind the extra 30 for one simple reason: it didn't require waiting 6 to 20 weeks for moto to get stock and ship.

Ha on the paint. I'm still torn. Almost talked myself into going back and just pay for it.
You know what? I just bought a Nexus 6 from AT&T web ordering and I knew it was $30 more than everyone else, but you know what?! AT&T has them in stock and nobody else does!! Get over it. If you don't like it wait until Google has them on their site and then wait some more until they really have it and can send it to you! I had no problem getting mine from AT&T and I really didn't care that it has their logo on it!

Do you going to leave a service because they charge 30 bucks for a device no one got in stock? Sound like a great business strategy for me... They know they can provide it today while others can in weeks. I will advice you go back
Appreciate the feed back. I realize that's it only like 30 bucks but there is also the added cost of paying taxes on 682 instead of 649. Not outrageous but still there. I doubt they are charging higher because they know they have them in stock. Especially when they are late to the game. They had to send their initial batch back. I wonder if this is fair to be who don't realize they are paying more. I noticed the price difference and accept the added cost, I'm okay with it but it's not fair to an unsuspecting customer.
Complain about it on at&t's Facebook page. The first person that contacts you probably won't be alot of help. They will eventually have someone else contact you. This person can help you. They gave me a $100 bill credit. I could have paid the balance of $582.99 plus tax but I chose to do the next 12 plan. So I paid $682.99 in order to do next and the $100 came off my monthly bill.
Well to update. I ended up going back and getting it. Really wanted to check it out and decided it was worth to walk out with it now. I hope its corrected still though. Now to run it through its paces before the 14 days are up. Like it so far. It is my first nexus device.
Mine was 249.99 with the 2 year contract.
$249.99 + $25 per month extra for 24 months = $849.99 + tax and upgrade / activation fees.
Best buy has the at&t n6 for 649 but the sprint n6 is 699 dosent make sense

That's interesting, on Sprints website its 648.

Help Deciding : Nexus 6 or Nexus 6P??

Hello Everyone,
I am having a hard time deciding on what to do here. Here are my options:
A: Upgrade my current Sprint line to the Nexus 6 for $0.00 today, free activation and free overnight shipping!
B: Pre-Order the Nexus 6P for $500+ out of pocket today and have it essentially cost me $120 more a year. (Sprint Unlimited Plan is going from $60 to $70 October 16th)
I have to stay with Sprint. Looking at options A and B it really only seems logical to go with A... lol. Anyways...
I am looking for Pros and Cons for the Moto Nexus 6 vs the Nexus 6P.
Any and all input on this would be appreciated! Thank you for your time!
PS: This will be my first Android Phone. I have been an iPhone user since the 3GS! I currently have an iPhone 6 and I am just sick of my boring A$$ iPhones! After doing a bunch of research and such I decided that I really want a Nexus Device! I just can't decide between the Nexus 6 or the Nexus 6P.
Unless you absolutely need to have USB-C or biometric unlock, save your money. The N6 is still a very capable device.
Ooh and 6p doesn't have wireless charging...

Not quite sure what the implications on your sprint plan is, but I wouldn't get the N6 from Sprint. Amazon has them for sub $400. I just bought the 64gb warehouse deal for $339. I know sprint is listing them for over $600 and you'll pay every bit of that though easy pay too. IMO saving $150+ by going with the N6 is the better decision.
Are you on a contract type plan with sprint still?
I personally love my Nexus 6. The convenience of wireless charging overrides any USB type-c in my opinion since I have 100 USB cables that work great already. I also like my motorola, as I was a huge fan of the Moto X line the Nexus 6 fits many criteria in one. But its your phone get what best suits you.
I already have the N6, but my wife is looking for a new phone. She's choosing the N6P, mainly because she feels that the original N6 is to clunky. Looking at side by side pictures the N6P looks quite sleek...
The only real difference between the two that are noticeable right away are the finger print scanner on the back, and USB C charging. I have a Nexus 6 and I will tell you, this phone charges fast as hell with it's fast charge feature and it makes the USB C charging seem gimmicky. For the price, I would say go for a Nexus 6! And someone already mentioned the Amazon price that's quite low right now, opinion of course, but I would say the real deal breaker here is if you REALLY want a finger print scanner or can live without it. I love my Nexus 6!
EDIT: You're coming from an iPhone? Welcome to the world of Android, you're making a much better choice!

Also want to say, since you're coming from iPhone, you're making a good choice going with the Nexus platform over one of the vendors (Samsung, LG, etc) IMO. While they make great phones, I think vanilla android is the best form. I cannot stand how the other mfgs load their phones up with just crap. I have an LG now that I love, but it's unlocked and running vanilla android
If you get into unlocking and rooting your phone, there's so much you can do with it but it's also a great experience stock.
I pulled the trigger on the Nexus 6! I've always wanted a phone with a big screen so I know I am going to love it! I spent an hour on the phone with Sprint and got them down to $500! I just explained to the supervisor that it is a year old phone and you can buy it directly from Google for $500. I still got charged the full $648-$48 instant discount =$600. $0 down installment billing through easy pay. But he issued me $100 credit to make up for it! They are also buying my iPhone 6 back for $385 so I will have a $485 credit on my account. I won't have to pay my bill for 6 months! HaHa! He also waived activation and gave me free two day shipping. I feel I did pretty well! Cost me nothing up front! I probably could have gotten more from selling my iPhone solo but the fact that it's a Sprint model would have made it a lot harder and taken forever. Plus it has a few scratches on it and such so $385 is plenty enough in my opinion. Amazons for $350 are a good deal but they say no Sprint/Verizon for some reason. In my area it is Verizon or Sprint. GSM is not an option! No AT&T or T-Mobile coverage at all!
I can't wait to get it! This is the first time I have bought an Android and this is the first time I bought a year old phone! I have always got the latest iPhone upon release. It was kind of hard for me to eat that I was getting year old tech, but I really wanted the 6" display and I wanted a Nexus device. (For some reason I always think I have to have the latest and greatest even though I am far from a power user) With 3GB ram and a Snapdragon 805 I am sure I will enjoy it for a while. As long as I get 2 years out of it I will be happy!

Congrats! You'll love android. And while this may be a year old phone, it's still arguably top of the line. The SD 808 and 810 are not clearly better than the 805, especially with the 810's thermal issues. Take good care of it and you should see 2 years easy out of the phone.
And besides, you can always trade early for next year's Nexus
Edit: BTW I love your avatar...perfect for someone coming from iPhone to their first Android
Awesome dude! Android is a much better mobile OS! It does so much more than iOS! And I'm a believer in the Nexus line! Other phones are alright, but like someone said, loaded with useless crap! Nexus is the way to go!
