Hi everyone,
Hope this is the right place to ask.
It seems after flashing my phone i can't lock my homescreen anymore.
It still shows the 2 screens in to refit your photo/pic bit if i use the vertical one he just adjust size and put on landscape anyway.
I go to photo/menu/more/set as/homescreen/and choose the vertical window.
Hope anyone can help me out.

hey,
if anyone could help me, i'd really appreciate it.
the start menu on my tilt turns white now because it scrolls way too far down (list is much longer than screen res allows for and has arrows on top and bottom for scrolling). the recently used programs list that shows up in the start menu reiterates itself 4 times and shows up vertically and horizontally regardless of what orientation the screen is in.
i could really use some help, so let me know what you guys think/know the problem is.
thanks in advance!
Hi:
I am brand new to Captivate (from a Tilt 2), so am exploring Android. So far I am in love with it.
I have searched, and can't seem to find how to set the Home screen. What I mean is, I found how to edit screens (add, remove). But, for some reason the Home button always takes me to the screen farthest to the right. I would like for it to take me to the center screen. How do I do this?
Thanks!
I think on TouchWiz, if you only have 3 homescreens created, the default will be the one on the far right. If you create more homescreens (say 7), it will be the one in the middle. Try adding more homescreens to the right of the one that is defaulted for you right now. Then once you get the one in middle as your default, you can delete the ones to the far left and right if you don't want all 7 screens. Hope this makes sense.
The default is the one with the little home icon at the bottom. You can put it anywhere

Hi:
WD33- Thanks so much. I tried that. I have added and subtracted a million screens, but there seems to be no rhyme or or reason (sometimes it's the farthest one to the left, sometimes it's the second to last etc), and I can't seem to get the middle one as home.
Dani:
Thanks for your reply. I don't see the little home icon. You do mean in the edit screen to edit tabs, right?
Thanks again to both of you!
EDIT: Well, after much trial and error, I had to go back to the original 7 screen layout in order to get the center screen to be home.
Hi everyone! How can I make three screens with no scrolling, that is I can't swipe between screens but can select the screen by pinching in and selecting the screen. I need this because I am trying to make a screen where it has shortcuts to go to the next screen. So I want to restrict swiping between screens and only use those shortcuts. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try SSlauncher.
I had exactly what you described on my Galaxy S in it worked perfectly. My screens were set up similar to an old telephone address book. On the right hand side of every one of the 9 screens I had were the numbers 1-9. I was the "home" screen. Under the numbers, that went from the bottom to the top of the screen were short description on what was of that screen. Things like "Home", "Office", "Daily", "Games", "Photo"
It was a joy to use and looked very cool with a smooth transition from screen to screen called "Flow".
One of the nicest things -apart from not having to swipe all the time- was that from the "Home" screen to screen 9 did not mean that 8 other screens had to fly past. The next screed regardless of the number always appeared to be the next screen!
SSlauncher also allows you to switch of "swiping" and even have a different background on each screen.
One warning. Do not be put off buy the developers terrible examples on the Play Store or the learning curve. Go to www.mycolorscreen.? for inspiration.
Don't hesitate to pm for help if you need it.

Every time I add an additional home screen it goes to the far right,
I can't seem to move it to another position say far left.
I have tried going into the widget bit long holding the screen I want to move and dragging it, but it doesn't work, only way to do it would be to move all the widgets across one by one.
Any help would be great,
Aaron

the only way is make a new screen the home screen so if you want one screen on the left and 2 on the right make the 2nd screen the home screen or the last screen the home screen
i hope that makes sense
Hey guys, I wanted to know, is there a way to change the size of the "screen" in one handed mode? when you triple press that homebutton it becomes
a bit too small, I know that with the note 4 it was possible to make the window bigger:
http://www.samsung.com/sa_en/support/skp/faq/1063757
Thanks guys!
Also, is there a way to lock the screen? say I give someone the phone to watch a specific photo and I don't want him swiping right and left
which we know everyone does...

The first one does not seem possible. It seems set at the default smaller size.
Second, there are a few apps available for just this:
