One day, if I ever have the cash for it... Or we can combine it with the iPhone game thing:
Make a best-selling iPhone game, and then buy MacBook Pros with the proceeds. Bring them to a Starbucks for a much publicized event (make them think that you are launching the next game). Once you are there, start smashing all the MBPs and encourage the crowd to do the same. Then whip out your favourite Android phone(s)
Win.
I'm a little scared at how much of that list i've already done.
But one more to add to the list, that I have not done.
Get into a physical fight over O/S preference (Mac vs Win vs Linux etc)

If I must.
All XDA Mods are penis-sucking knob-jockeys. Who all hate bacon. And as such, should have their balls ripped off. Or balls sewn on and then ripped off if female.
Good enough? XD
Also - the thread title is messed up. It should read "50 Geeky Things to Do Before You Die"

SimSportsWorld is a website created by Rob Gardener which has been relaunched in April 2011 with a whole new attitude. It is currently only supporting basketball simulation (we're in Season 2) and baseball is scheduled to be in full swing *no pun intended* within the coming week(s). Then, in August, football will be implemented as well. Down the road there is plan to add ALL KINDS of sports, including tennis and many many others.
The simulation is bar non leaps ahead of its competition. Rob is an absolutely devoted developing genius who spends hours and hours bringing the simulation to a whole new level. The current system in place for basketball allows development from high school, into college and finally the pros. You can create players or coaches. You are given three free "slots" when you first sign up to do what you please, be it create players or coaches (or a combination of the two). Baseball will also bring a high school level, college and the pros.
There are also points which can be purchased from the point store which can be used to purchase cards, buy shares in teams to become a team owner as well as boost your players. New sets of cards are released each season for each sport and can be collected and eventually will be able to be traded between players, adding yet ANOTHER aspect of the game and reaching out to other types of users such as those who enjoy collecting cards.
In closing, I invite you to take a look around this site, read the forums and see just what we as a community have to offer over at SimSportsWorld.
Yours truly,

Hopefully this won't be considered spam, I only posted it on off-topic
I created a smart watch app the displays the upcoming public transit departure times for Philadelphia. I want to bring the app to other watches and other cities so I created kickstarter campaign:
kickstarter (dot) com/projects/1527306840/smartwatch-transit-app
Here is a description of the campaign:
With the burst of interest in wearable technology and the craze over the upcoming release of the Apple Watch, smartwatches have taken the country by storm. With so many features and opportunities for app development, we centered in on one question: What information could be vitally useful while you're on the move, but accessible with no input and just a glance? Transit times.
With that we set out to build the simplest, easiest, and most useful transit app for the Pebble watch. We just released the first version of the app which supports the subway and commuter regional rail lines (in realtime including delays) of the beautiful city of Philadelphia: Philly Transit. We already love the app so much we decided to take it one step further.
Why would we keep our app private in Philadelphia and only on one device when we can share it with the rest of you? By adding more cities and expanding to other platforms, we envision our app to be used by commuters around the world every single day. Help us make this dream a reality, and please, stop running for the next train!
While we plan to eventually add support for most cities worldwide, we are anticipating a launch in time for the release of the Apple Watch with support for these cities:
New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Bay Area, Washington DC, Boston, Seattle, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Munich, Frankfurt, London, and Madrid
If your city isn't listed here, don't fret! By early summer 2015 we expect to support over 20 cities in the United States alone.
Hello from Vancouver, BC Canada
I am looking for a back end developer preferably residing the USA/Canada but will entertain other regions if I see commitment. We will be launching a social media site that is actually complimentary to other social media sites. It will be have web channels as well as a cable broadcast channel in the US/ Canada. Please note, my idea is not posted on my company website.
The criteria for a partner is as follows:
1) build the prototype to present to Series A funders
2) build the prototype APP (it's fairly simple)
3) sign the investors agreement for the formation of the joint venture
4) Invest $12,500 50% ownership -
----
IEA will provide for it's part to the joint venture:
a)the technical layout for the prototype
b)trademark ownership
c) CRTC license (no license is required for the USA).
d) IEA will also place $12,500 for 50% ownership
I do have an impressive advisory panel.
I already have four (4) companies set to review the Series A funding (2 are industry inside corporations and 2 are venture capital firms). Our Series A is $3 million.
If you think you can help, I can send an NDA and business plan to move this forward.
ME as a partner:
I have a entertainment marketing background. I am strong in presentations and sales. I'm outgoing. I have worked in the entertainment industry for many years (cable television, motion pictures, and communications).
I try to humble myself (keep ego in check). I like humor :silly: I'm an great writer but horrible with numbers...lol.
I try to act in good faith. I do not like greed and ego. I like consensus. I have launched and sold two companies in my past.
I am really excited about this start up. If this interests you please message me here or privately (preferred) at my website: ieamedia
You've come to the wrong place, obviously.

Hi all,
Firstly, I would like to state that I am new here and not a techie.
I offer a unique career opportunity. I am here to facilitate and identify top talent who may be interested in working in the warm and hospitable climate that is Thailand, for a global internet based company.
In short I am a recruiter looking to fill technical positions within mobile application development for my client who operates a global online booking platform.
I have read the rules of engagement and I do not believe I am in breach with this post - I am not selling anything. I earn a pre-agreed fee upon successful placement with my client; which is well earned for plunging the depths and identifying the best talent and coordinating them through the entire recruitment lifecycle; and this has no impact whatsoever on your potential earnings. My involvement will cease once you start with the client and become an employee.
This is a permanent position in Bangkok and the client offers a full visa and relocation package. Thailand is an ASEAN top 10 nation offering an excellent quality of life, warm hospitality and a sunny climate. How would you like to do the job you love in this environment?
My client is looking for someone with strong mobile application development skills and experience releasing applications on mobile app stores. You will take ownership of your work from analysis, design, implementation and testing, all the way to going live and monitoring the results afterward and evaluate innovative applications and present new ideas for improvement.
The client is a profitable business with the atmosphere of a start-up and is one of the largest and fasting growing online platforms in Asia. The successful candidate will join a team of experienced Scrum developers and have a high degree of autonomy. Technology and innovation are at the heart of everything the client does and you will have the chance to work with cutting edge technology to extend the lead on the competition and your work will have an impact on what the client does around the globe; with a short command structure and the capital to make things happen, your ideas will be put into practise quickly.
This opportunity would suit young professional with a sense of adventure and around 5 years experience.
