Cheat engine is for the PC is it not? I googled my little heart out and found nothing that could be utilized on an Android phone.

Gun Bros UNLOCK - 100% working!!
All Ya'll who are hooked on this brilliant GLU game, I have just sorted the game save out where 99% of war gear and all weapons are unlocked.

I have a Galaxy S I9000 GT rooted on a custom mod Froyo 2.2.3 and it works 100%
NB - I am not responsible for any mishaps that may occur if you do not know what you are doing!!! You MUST also have the latest version of Gun Bros installed.
1) You need to download ROOT EXPLORER from the market (you may have to pay)
2) When the above has installed goto http : //software2tech.com/tag/unlock-android-gun-bros/ and download the "GUN BROS UNLOCK FILE (PURCHASES)" NB (No spaces between the http and the : I had to do this to be able to post)
3) Transfer onto your phone anywhere where you can easily find (Preferably on your external SD card)
4) Find the transfered "PURCHASES" file, and copy it
5) Open ROOT EXPLORER that you have just downloaded from the market
6) Click DATA, then when this opens click DATA again.
7) Scroll down the list until you see the "com.glu.android.gunbros_free" folder, then open it
8) Open the "app_save" file in here
9) click the options menu for ROOT EXPLORER" and paste the purchases file. (It will say already exist, overwrite) click yes.
10) Exit ROOT EXPLORER, and load Gun Bros
11) Hey presto...you can now play Gun Bros with all the goodies Enjoy!!

At the top of the menu when it loads there's several neon blue icons. It's the one that looks like bullets. Just play and learn it doesn't take long!!

You cannot equip other bro yet - you are supposed to replace your bro with experienced players from Brotherhood (an online feature, you need Facebook account for that), however Brotherhood currently works only for iPhone, not Android. GLU Mobile promised that they will add that feature.
The amount of money and your level is stored in file savegame.dat - money is a little-endian 32-bit integer at the offset 0xC8, level - 0xE0, however first 4 bytes in the savegame.dat are some kind of integrity check - it's not CRC32 or checksum of the rest of the data inside savegame.dat, probably some simple checksum + XOR to obfuscate things - if you change level or amount of money your character is reset.
Well, it doesn't matter much, because there is no security check for "purchases" file, so just follow the instruction above.

Discuss PSP hacking in this thread. Recently decided to put CFW on my PSP 1000. I installed M33-6, and I love it. Emulators run flawlessly, and I love CXMB. Anybody know of a way I can take screenshots on my PSP?

I want to get a cifs server running on my PSP so I can use it as a wireless drive for my router.
Anyone got any ideas on how to get this done. Going to give uclinux a try, not sure if it will work.

In my experiene GEN tends to be a testing version, sort of like a BETA, whilst M33 is the finished product which can be released in different versions.

M33 was developed by Dark_Alex, who completely dropped off the face of the earth some time last year. The problem with M33 is that it only goes up to 5.00 M33-6. Most games requiring 5.50 and above will not work with this CFW as they check for FW version. There are patches to allow you to play those games, like those released by yoshihiro (also part of team GEN)
GEN is not a beta version, but they are always improving it, so it is always an unfinished product (you can thank Sony's efforts in blocking CFW for that). They have grown a lot over the last year or so, and honestly, it is quite stable and fast. Most homebrews run flawlessly on it. I personally have D3 and never looked back at M33

Oh right, thanks for clearing that up. I honestly prefer M33 though..I find it more compatible with the homebrews I got...haven't really got that many because I'm more into themes and changing the XMB. I'm on 5.50 GEN-D (Full) at the moment, I'm going to try and look for anything good for it and if nothing appeals to me, I think I'll go back to 5.00 M33-6.
Edit: True to my word downgraded back to 5.00 M33-4 (so not entirely true...sorry) using Hellcats Recovery Flasher v1.50. Got all my previous CTF themes back and going to get some more converted ones.

Swapping Music in PES for PSP
Hi all,
I am trying to swap/replace some teams' national anthems in Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 (PES 2013) for the PSP but not succeeding. Meaning, I want team X's anthem to play but the game is lacking that anthem. Team Y has an anthem. So I want to swap its anthem with an mp3 file of team X's anthem and then edit the team/players' in game.
The problem is the anthem does not play, and then the game gets stuck (neither proceeds nor crashes) after the camera pans over to the last player of the team whose anthem I swapped. I don't have an actual psp console so I am using PPSSPP Gold on my android phone and Adrenaline on my PS Vita both of which give the same result. I have tried different versions of the game too.
This is the process I have been following:
- I open the game's iso in UMDGen and extract the 0SOUND.cpk file which is where all the anthems are located.
- Then I use cpk unpacker tool to extract all the individual anthem files. They have no file extension whatsoever. It just says "File". I do have file extensions enabled on my machine. The only way I know what file type it is is by right-clicking the file and playing it in VLC (I can hear the file play fine btw) then going to Tools/Codec Information. And it says:
Codec: atrac 3+ (atrp)
Type: Audio
Channels: Stereo
Sample rate: 44100 Hz
Bits per sample: 32
- The files don't open in anything else. No other program that I have recognizes it. I've tried Goldwave (older and newer versions), Soundforge Pro 13.0 and Audacity.
- After struggling some, I managed to get my mp3 file of the anthem I want to show the exact same info in VLC as above. It plays fine and looks identical to the original files. I was also mindful of the file size to be the same or even a little smaller than that of the original. I wound up using tools like MMCS MultiTraConv converter. And although I don't need the anthem to loop (because it's just supposed to play once before the match starts) I looped it with the Goldwave at3 Looping tool but that didn't make any difference.
To swap the files I simply take the team's file (they are numbered 1 - 35), say 13 for Austria as an example and I name my file 13 and replace it. Then I use the cpk builder tool to rebuild the 0SOUND.cpk file and I drag it back to the ISO in UMDGen and re-save the iso file.
I am on Windows 8.1 and I managed to get the atrac3 codec working in an older version of Goldwave (5.1) but there's no need for it because the MMCS MultiTraConv converter converts my mp3 or wave files to the needed atrac3+ format. It tacks on a .SC file extension but in VLC it plays and displays the correct info exactly as I've shown above. I also removed the extension to get it to say just "file" as the original does. I even tried using just atrac3 without the "plus" but had the same result. I've tried just about anything I can think of with no luck. I had also heard something about headers? This is an area I am not overly familiar with and would need some guidance. I tried matching the hex values from the top of the file with those of the original but that didn't help. If anyone can help me out I'd be immensely appreciative. Thanks

For example with 1.7 version now I can play Knockout Kings 2001 which used to freeze before.
I wish it was just faster. I remember the Windows Mobile version to be faster overall.

2) What are the odds of getting into trouble (legal matters) of using/ playing these roms? (I am familiar with emulators and roms and what they do to a certain level)

Holy shiz I have download 102MB after the app download just to run the free version? I'll definitely try out the free version but the graphics already look nice.
unless they re did the game again the free version from samsung apps has better graphics and is the full game, if you push samsung apps to the phone and swap the build.prop file from the i-9000 then you can grab the game and swap the build.prop back to the one from the rom you are running, but i dont think it has wifi, i never thought to try multiplayer. all i know is the one from samsung is butter smooth and has a "samsung mobile" super car as the best car you can buy.
so, new version in samsung apps now?
Just gave it a try and it was good... until I ended up finding need for speed shift and its way better!

5. Now go back to your phone memory and open your phones "Android > Data Folder" and paste the "com.ideaworks3d.nfsshift" folder here.
6. Enjoy game!

Checked this out it seems pretty cool. Took a minute to get the language into english. Very realistic great graphics. No multiplayer only tilt controls sucks. Seems cool still think asphalt will be better especially now thats its online. Asphlat is arcade nfs is realistic sweet to have both. Thanks for the tip on nfs. Will post back as i progress in the game

I have been hitting a roadblock with trying to get 9mm to run on my touchpad.
So far I have been working from the instructions here:

There is a copy on XDA as well but they both do the same thing. Normally I get all pink/red textures. Using the instructions I get all black/white textures.
According to everything I can find the setup listed "should" work, but it does not for me. I think I am missing some steps, but trying to search for "9mm" does not come up with much.
I see mention about getting the Tegra version of the game but nobody says how to do this. I assume it has to do with an edit to build.prop but so far the exact edit is something I cannot find.

I have the same issues. I was able to get rid of the pink and actually get the correct graphics. The game starts to go black after the intro though. I wonder if getting the full version of chainfire would help. Any suggestions?

I am running the full version and have had no luck at all. For me I get black textures for everything on the Nvidia plugin. Pink for every other setting.
I have seen it listed as working but so far nobody will actually post how they got it to work.
At least I only invested .99 . Not a huge loss if I cant get it running.
Ok, I got a bit closer last night in getting this running. I can now watch the opening movie without any texture distortion but after that the game locks up. Sound still plays fine.
Oddly my live wallpaper also starts crashing, making me wonder if I am hitting a memory cap. I do run V6 supercharger so I can make adjustments to the limits.
What I did, and it is based on posts linked in the original thread and some serious expiramentation.
1 - Delete the 9MM game folder from /sdcard/gamelof/ I believe it has the letters 9MM in it.
2 - Change your build.prop. Model: PG86100 Brand: Sprint
3 - Reboot
4 - Start 9MM. let it download the files, mine were about 800MB
5 - Restore you build.prop . This will vary depending on your rom.
6 - Another reboot
Like I said this starts to play for me then locks up. I have not played much with all the plugins and drivers in Chainfire3D so the solution may be in there someplace. This may also not be the best way to get it running...but so far it is the closest I can get

I haven't tried it for this game, but I am familiar with jumping through hoops to get Gameloft games to work.
Basically what you would need to do is to pick a popular Tegra 2 device that Gameloft supports and Google for the build.prop of that devices. If you're not sure which devices are Tegra 2 check wikipedia and if you aren't sure which devices Gameloft supports check their site, but in general they like the big mobile carriers like Samsung, HTC and Motorola but ignore others like Asus, so don't pick the Transformer build.prop.
In this case I would say go for the Xoom build.prop edits and I did Google Xoom and 9mm and verified people with the Xoom are saying it works on their device.
In this case, a Google search for Xoom build.prop should bring up some useful results. Having done that the relevant edits you want will be:
ro.product.model=
ro.product.brand=
ro.product.name=
ro.product.device=
In the case of the Xoom you would want the following edits:
ro.product.model=Xoom
ro.product.brand=verizon
ro.product.name=trygon
ro.product.device=stingray
The other thing you will want to do is use Chainfire set to the Tegra 2.
The build.props should get you the Tegra data and then Chainfire should (hopefully) translate it run properly.
Again, I haven't tried all this but I have done similar edits for other Gameloft games.

U can check this.
The settings need to check what language do you need to search (java,html5,etc). Look closely at settings.

This is NOT true. Also, there is the myth that Multi-Player online games cannot be hacked and that TOO is not true.
You have to think "outside the box"...you see, most newer games have the crucial data (such as gold, coins, xp and etc) stored on their servers...thus when the client's (your android phone) value does not match the server values, the client will either crash, just revert back to the original value (the value from the server). So how to overcome some of these things? Hacking the obvious as I said, the gold, coins and such will more than likely not work...but things like:
1 = $10
2 = $20
3 = $30
4 = $40
5 = $50
When you are buying items...if you click 1, it says $10 and to press something to confirm the buy...if you toggle it to 2, it has a higher amount...well, you can hack the value of the $...you search for 10, toggle it to 2 (so it shows $20) and then hack 20...and etc until a single value remains...change that to let's say $1, and you get 5 or more items for $1. Or you can reverse it and hack the AMOUNT, so for $50 you get 99999 items.
Here's an example, but I won't elaborate on it...it's about trial and error, but I will tell you the general idea of what you have to do:
If you are playing a Mobage game or similar that uses "ENERGY", you more than likely cannot hack the energy...nor the coins/gold. So, what to hack then? I've hacked XP to raise the level, thus being much stronger and use the limited energy I have to attack/kill the stronger creatures and get "faster" XP and COINS with the limited energy that I have. If you can't hack the XP, then the power or strength...all of it is temporary, but the xp and/or gold you obtain will remain valid afterwards. You then just wait until your energy replenishes and rinse and repeat. What I would have to do in one week I can do in one single day and get a jump start on people.
To be honest, it makes the game "boring" after a while must faster but when you do find a hack and exploit it there isn't a better thrill! :laugh:
P.S. And yes this works on some GREE games and especially good to use on RPG type games and etc...here are some names to google for game hacking apks:

ok heres a nice trick for unlimited energie, with a rooted mobile dl gmt time app, this will allow you to speed game clocks up , notice thay when u run the game , that every time you click a link, the game will refresh and remove the extra energy , so whilest on the map once you have none left just click foward , (it will bring your count to 0 , but because it will refil in 1/100 of a second just keep going foward one step at a time
