[Q] How to Sync tablet files with Computer - G Tablet Themes and Apps

Is there any way to wirelessly sync files between my G tablet and my home computer?
I use Windows Live Mesh to sync between my Comp and Laptop.
I have about 5 GB of files for work that I would like to update everyday and would prefer to not wait the 30 min or so it takes the computer to copy/replace the files on my tablet.
Thanks for the posts!

Well dropbox is the easiest option but it has a 2 gig restriction

A high end solution get a tonido plug and old usb drive. Put the files on it and you have access to them on any system from anywhere

syncmate for mac
or synctoy2 are both good options

Microsoft SyncToy for windows.

I use adb wireless to connect and use a windows app QtADB that can see the internal storage and external sd card. I use that to sync my internal storage with my computer every once in awhile for backup purposes.

Can I set up to sync with more than one pc?

I've searched and see people have had problems syncing with just one pc but me well I want more LOL, does anyone know a way to sync between 2 pc's as I would like to run on my laptop as well whilst out and about.
I have a feeling the answer will be that it can't be done but its worth an ask!
Smit
I sync with my PC and my laptop but not "out and about" whatever that might be. I sync my contacts/calendar/notes and transfer files and ROM flash with the desktop PC and just transfer files and occational ROM flash with the Laptop. All you need to do is install AS/WMDC on the other machine and connect, create another partnership with an unique source server name.
Yeah I do it too. It all just works automatically.
yeah, me too, I sync with AS in my office PC in winxp and with WMDC in my laptop in winvista.

Sorry I miss read your 1st reply and it seems were in the same boat

[Q] Optimus 2x on mac os X

I recently got the new LG Optimus 2X and im having some real headache over it..
The thing is that it refuses to mount its sdcard on my macbook (10.6.6).
I tryed pretty much everything short of injecting valium, but it simply will not comply.
So could anyone please help me before my hair turns gray and falls off?
It pops up on win xp, both on a pc and in a vmware xp system on the mac, so i assume that its not using the default mass storage system anymore, some google searches hints that its using a semi-proprietary system similar to some mp3- and media-players.
So far ive been using my old phone as SD card adapter, and i also have a wifi network (rarely used, using mobile internet on a usb dongle) for ftp transfers.
But that aint enough, i need to be able to transfer audio/video files aswell as games/apps and backups to/from my phone in a easier fasion than adb push or ftp.
i really like the phone but im concidering returning it and buy a mac compatible phone instead.. but there are no other tegra phones available atm...
Does it use MTP? If so, check out http://www.wentnet.com/projects/xnjb/
I have a Tegra powered tablet (Advent Vega) and my MacBook Pro sees the sd card when mounted no problem.
You could also look at a program called Syncmate. Mac client and free Android version
XNJB is a no-go.. Will not detect a device.
Googlesearch mac with optimus x2 only reveals mac address related links or sites containing the words in different topic lists.
syncmate is a internet-solution, nothing gets synced locally..
And that is simply not an option when i want to transfer +1gb files (at the best of times i reach about 150k/s, usually around 10-30k/s)
Seems to work fine on my MacBook Pro.. no problem at all!
I have some trouble with the phone not detecting the second SD card, solution for me was to uncheck "USB Debugging" while it was plugged in.
Or
Plugout
Disable USB-Debugging
Plug in
Dangerous one: (This might damage current content on your SD-Card, i take no responsability)
While Phone is live
Plug out the SD
Phone goes belly up about it
Says it might be damaged and needs to be reformated
let the phone reformat the SD-Card
Plug the phone back in the Mac
Poof SDcard once again viewable
^^ Above is not recommended, and i can not explain why it worked. also i do not know if it might damage other components of the phone. But mine looks to be just fine and the SD-Card is performing as intended.
Why it is so hard for the Computers to see the external SD is a good Question, i have had the same issues with my windows 7 PC .. USB debugging seemed to be the fix initially.

On the Optimus 2X you need to activate yourself the USB Mass Storage mode, Go on Applications -> Settings -> SD Card & Phone Storage -> Mass storage only
Desmopro, i already tryed that.
The mass storage setting disables the adb debug tho.
My computer can see the device in system profiler, a hardware list,
And adb devices lists it aswell, but disk utility can't see any connected storage,
mounted or otherwise.

What version of OSX you use ?
In terminal, can you see the device (on /dev) ?
Think to reinstall a combo update, to clean up your system
If you use 10.7 beta and you are a developper or a beta tester, send a report to Apple
If you use 10.7 beta found on bittorrent, downgrade to 10.6
The Optimus 2X dont use MTP but the old mass storage method, so there is normally no problem to use OSX with
Im using 10.6.6.
Its strange, my htc hero mounts just fine, without any hazzle or inconvenience, but the optimus will not show..
I finally did find the issue tho, as soon as i eject the external sd-card (remove it physically), the internal storage pops up without a hickup.
But as soon as i insert the sd card, the mounted card stops responding, folders wont refresh, file copy stops and the only option is to eject the media from finder.
So regardless of what i try, i cannot get the external card mounted on my mac, even tho it works fine on pc.
..ive been using my sd card from my hero from the moment i got the phone..

Transfer Files From Mac to ATT Tab

Hey guys, sorry again if this has been asked before,
How do I transfer a file from my Mac to the ATT Tab?
There seems to be no USB option on the Tab and the Tab wont mount on my desktop.
Kies don't support Mac file transfer.
Thanks
I use WiFi File Explorer PRO. Seems to be much faster than USB and it should work on your mac.
or use airdroid.
i forgot how to use usb when i used airdroid.
Honeycomb, on this tablet, doesn't use USB mass storage because there is no SD card. It uses MTP storage. It is functional but has some issues. Just use the USB charging cable from your charger and connect the tablet to the computer. make sure usb debugging is turn off unless you want to attempt to use abd to push the files.
You can get wifi file explorer, a free app that will attempt to connect the tablet to the computer via wifi.
Another option is a file sharing service like dropbox or sugarsync
http://db.tt/1v0BC1VS
these let you upload files to a cloud server. Then install them to any device with internet access. The starting point is 2GB but you can't expand that. If you want to go the route of dropbox, that link will give us both a little extra space
Thanks, I found that WiFi Pro app and it works fine.
I also just bought the G-Tab 7.7 so will be returning the 8.9 anyway.

file transfer

Coming from n3, i have a bunch of stuff to transfer from my sd card, like about 10gb of music for example, whats the easiest way? Tried a couple of wifi apps but none of them worked on my nexus.
I usually use a USB OTG cable or USB directly to my windows PC. Copy files from old device to PC then from PC to new device.

How to get my Note9's Internal storage as USB flash disk in windows?

When I connect my note9 to my laptop (windows 10) it automatically gets mounted as Galaxy device. When I enter to Galaxy, it shows 128 Internal storage as flash disk and show all files and folders in it. But copy/paste data (image and others) to/from this location which laptop is extremely slow. 28GB data shows several hours to complete and sometimes it doesn't completed successfully.
I used to get handsets storage directly as flash storage to the windows in my older devices (xperia, oneplus etc.) and data transfer rate was awesome. Now in my Note9, is there any option to get the Internal storage directly as flash disk in windows so that data transfer is as it is flash disk/pendrive.

Are you using the cable your phone came with or a cheap aftermarket cable? Maybe just try another cable. When I plug my phone into my computer (Windows 10), it comes up as Note9 on Windows Explorer, and under that are two folders, one for internal storage and the other for my MicroSD card.
Secondly, do you have a case on your phone? What kind? Reason I'm asking, is because I have a ZeroLemon case, which when you put it on, plugs into the USB Type-C port. Therefore when I plug my phone into my computer, it goes through the case before it goes to the phone. In otherwords, the case may bottleneck (slow down) the transfer speed. I do know that DEX does not work with my case, which makes me think that it also negatively affects transfer speeds, as well.
One other option for file transfer that I've found is to set your phone up as an FTP server, which is actually easier than what you may think. I use an app called File Manager (this one). Basically, you would use this File Manager app to "Start" the FTP server, and then on your computer, you navigate to your phone's FTP Address using Windows Explorer. Once you start the FTP server option, it tells you what URL to visit on your computer, and once you do, you'll see your internal storage. You must be on the same Home Wi-Fi for this to work. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a way to Read/Copy To/From a MicroSD card using this method, as the FTP seems to only let you access your Internal Storage. Just be advised, and I haven't taken the time to confirm this, but if you start your FTP on your own home Network, I suppose it could be visible to any device on your network.
I am also interested in this issue and I want my note9 to be defined as a memory card, as it is VERY CONVENIENT !! JOSHSKORN is
dibil because he did not give the right answer !! please, help!
