Does anyone know exactly how droid positions things based on rows/columns? I guess what i'm looking for is the closest accuracy so that i can create icons and such for desktop visualizer that would sit right against each other. i'm currently using an HD2.
i hope i was able to word that correctly
any help is appreciated.

Hello,
I was unsure where to post this request.
I like the new feature on the WAD2 for gestures. I have an idea that I am interested in seeing if someone could help develop. I am not a programmer so it is beyond me to even image how this should be done.
I am not sure how many people use the application called S2U2. It is pretty much one of the first apps I install on my mobile devices. The slider gave me an idea for the pages on WAD2.
I was wondering if anybody new of a way to make a slider like that but instead of it being all the way to the left. It will be centered and when you motion/slide it to the left or right, it will do whatever the gesture is assigned to do.
Is anybody up to this task? I can donate a little if needed.
Morning all,
I failed using the search feature to find exactly what I needed so I figured I would post it up. New to the droid world, infact the G tab is only the second time I have used one. I have already managed to root and install TnT lite and the market fix. I am on a quest to further customize the tablet however, custom icons for the dock (Is that what its called?) as well as the top of the screen which I have already found a post on this forum to accomplish that.
I have tried multiple px sizes on the G tab and I can't seem to get them quite right - If I make them too large they shrink an incredible amount and look terrible even with transparency. Any chance someone here knows the exact sizes of these icons so I can stay within the defined limits?
Thanks
I think icons for android are 48x48 pixels.
Maybe this helps too http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/ui_guidelines/icon_design.html

Which icons? Status bar (pull down at the top) or dock?
Dock shouldn't matter, I've used alot of sizes with Launcher Pro.
Status bar depends on the rom. For vegan, the easiest way is to get a metamorph from S2w's sticky thread. Tnt, I'll have to look up.... I don't know them by heart.
I've searched high and low, but can't seem to find an answer to this question.
I'd like to take the stock time/date from the lockscreen on my Thunderbolt and place it onto my homescreen.
I'm running Das BAMF Remix 1.7 which has the "Verizon Wireless" nuked from the lockscreen. I think this time/date is so simple and it'd look perfect on my homescreen, but I have no idea how to put it there.
Try simple clock widget from market. Not exactly what your looking for I know, but fairly similar.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful. I do appreciate the quick response.
I've tried both simple clock and digital clock, and while both are pretty damn close, they're not quite right. I'm too particular I suppose.
I'm hoping someone knows how I can extract the time/date from the lockscreen (perhaps as an apk?) and then I can just flash it like any other mod.
Can you post a screenshot? I looked through the Roms thread for pictures, im just being curious (nosy)
Make Your Clock Widget or .. Make Your Clock Widget (Pro)
mClock or Minimalistic Text
Give those a try. - Also, I think "OMC" One more Clock has what you're looking for as a default skin.
i suppose i was just being lazy. after a bit of patience, i was able to use minimalistic text to mimic the stock lockscreen date/time perfectly. the only extremely minor glitch i can't quite fix now is the positioning. when i unlock my phone if you look carefully you can see the time/date jump just a few pixels. i don't think this is something i can fix though, as it probably has something to do with the different ways in which widgetlocker and launcher pro plus draw their grids between the lockscreen and the homescreen.
Hello there,
I'm currently attempting chingchongpingpong's Star Trek LCARS project *I can't link yet otherwise I'd give one*
I am using Phiremod 7.1, which I used after using CW and the manualNooter to to root my 1.2 Nook Color. I have Desktop Visualizer and ADW EX.
The assistance I'm looking for here is related to that I'm having trouble navigating as well as issues with functions not working. To follow the project you have to create widgets through DV and use images for the icons, fair enough but when I did get icons created when I do get them placed properly they don't align with the project background and I when I go into edit it's basically impossible to get the image to line up and the re-sizing thing increases the area for the widget and it's just getting so darn frustrating It's driving me nuts.
*edit* I solved a few problems but I can't seem to resize with desktop visualizer in the way I need them.
Realizing is an application thing so I don't think we can help you there. I would love tobeventually see anfnished project. Is there a screenshot of your nook that you can show us to see your progress

Trying playing around with columns and rows, adding or removing. If I could get the link maybe I could help more. Post the link without www. And. Com

Not sure If I've thrown this in the right place, sorry if I haven't.
Am looking for a theme, or even an icon set that would look similar to this lockscreen. I've searched every site I could think and hunted through Google but alas have turned up nothing. So I turn to the trusty people of XDA.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...locker.theme.ics&feature=search_result#?t=W10.
Almost like the beautiful looking windows 7 icons designed on the andriodforums, but with a glass appearance and different sizes. 2x2 3x2 1x1 3x3 2x1 and 1x2
Anyone seen anything like that?

Use launcher 7 or search the windows dev/theme threads. You can also make the tiles too, just lower the opacity to 50-60% on the tile.
