its happening all over again , i dont think it has to do with the rom but my fone will suddenly shutdown when idle, and it wont respond unless i remove battery and reinsert it back.
when the fone is turned on, the media scanning will be verrryyyy slow and the fone will be very laggg and when i leave it for scanning the fone started to heat up~!!!
never had this b4 since i bought it
i have to reflaash rom to fix it .
Happened since v9.2 and i thought MAYBE v9.3 wont have the problems but it does ~!
Anyone having this problem?
or iz my fone are ****** up?
You tried a complete reflash? (factory reset - stock fw)
Because if you've a heavy fold in system it isn't enough only to reflash the rom...

thx for the reply though , i've factory resetted twice by now i think , b4 this never happen
but i didnt went to stock instead i go for darky's odin

So you did a factory reset and then install darkys rom, right?
So i would try factory reset again, flash the stock via odin (repartion on) and then flash darkys rom again.

okey will do
I also had this problem, I also assumed 9.3 would fix it, before installing 9.3 I even cleared data, system apps, factory reset it, formatted boot and every other option in the voodoo recovery menu that I could clear, then installed 9.3 but still I had it on first day, after that I noticed phone wouldn't respond half way through the day, id take it out of pocket and it wouldn't respond, had to take battery out, then when I got it back on, battery would have dropped by 40-50% , so I cleared battery stats after a full charge, then ran battery right down and fully charged again and haven't had a problem since, battery lasts longer too
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Last time the similar thing occured (hot phone, battery dropping quickly). Something (adb shell -> top) unknown was shown to have the CPU 100% busying. A manually kill cooled down the phone right away but i had no idea what caused that to happen : /
Darky should know the answers .
Best path would be to completely wipe the phone put a stock rom on to get it working . Then pick a rom that does not break your phone .

It's been a while since I've touched my S1. It's been a great journey with Darky's ROM. My English has also improved, I'm typing in full now. When I looked back at my first post, it was awkward and embarrassing to be honest.

hi,
I followed to the letter (well, almost) the installation manual of the kratos mod . Everything worked well .
But at the end of install , the big file 001003-Overcome_v3.1.0_KRATOS_Wipe.zip, remained in the "flash drive".
Can this file still be useful, or can I just delete it and forget it ?
you can just delete it and save a copy in your pc just incase you need it in the future.

my tip is to leave it in the sd card ext so u can have it l
there IF something goes wrong.
then u just enter recovery and install it again. .
if something went wrong, most likely you will have to wipe clean with stock so I say the file is not usefull, feel free to delete it but save a copy in your pc.
Best way to start from Stock

Yes The best is to start from Stock so better you have the staff backed up in a PC
Guys !!
I have flashed this ROM & really happy about the new features but I have a issue with Battery... Display use most of the battery does anyone know how to fix this ? I set Battery level low most of the time and make it Auto if I go out in Sun... I have done Battery wipe and stayed for some time but when I use tab it eats about 10 % Battery each hour this was not the same with 2.3.3 stock.
Thanks!

Stock Safe V3 v.s. V5
I upgraded overcome version from Hermes - Icaruz - Jupiter and now Kratos, Hermes comes with Stock Safe V3 and everytime I upgraded the ROM I used NoWipe version.
Is there any differences if using Stock Safe V5? Thx.

Hi Please let me know is whether there is any procedure like "Charge your phone, unplug, reboot, charge again till full then unplug and reboot again. When fully charged again, delete batterystats.bin or wipe battery stats in recovery. Reboot, charge again till 100% then you are good to go!"
or is it just one time full change & reboot like you said ?
Thank You
As long as you have more than 50% battery you're fine to flash...

Data Package is not working.
Hi Guyz,
i flashed my galaxy tab GT-P1000 wid a Overcome ROM v3.1.0-KRATOS, i find it better then the official rom. I love dis ROM but my data package is not working? can you tell me how can i enable it. i live in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and my mobile operator is MOBILY. i took 100mb per month data service on STOCK ROM its working fine but after i flashed and installed the Overcome its not working. Please help me out.
Here goes; Apologize for the new thread, but due to the complexity i am posting here, (And i couldn't find any issue with the same complexity)
I have been using the note with no issues till about 24 hours ago. However last night -- while i was asleep note battery drained from 100%-0 in like 4 hours.
I recharged in, and assuming that its a kernal issue (I was on ICS 4.0.4 with g-note core kernal)... i changed it to 6 from 6.1, and then upon release of 7 -- i upgraded. the battery dropped from like 15%-0 in no time. After recharging while on the same kernal -- signal started to drop while on calls (I didnt post on the kernal thread -- as i am not sure if it is related).
So i decided to reflash the rom, with safe wipe kernals.... I tried first gnote 3.10, CM9 RC2
then stock 4.0.4 LRG
Stock 4.0.3 LPA
and even gingerbread 2.3.6 LC1.. now i am on this with zero non-stock apps, no SD card, stock Rom with stock CSC.
Now the phone acts as below,
If not connected to power it reboots as soon as you start... After GT-7000 logo (sometimes i can see the bootanimation starting.)
If it is connected to power it fully boots.. and then switches off almost immediately. (boot animation flickers)
It lasts a while longer on recovery -- i was able to flash... and almost do a full back up.,
Download mode works fine and i have been able to flash via Odin as well.
phone says battery is fully charged!
*on the latest reboot --- battery showed at 1% (in andriod) and immediately rebooted. In the cahrging mode it says its full!!!
Any ideas whats going on? or any suggestions i can try???
Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately the note doesn't react to the charger when the battery is removed which may have helped in eliminating a dud battery as a problem. Do you have access to another battery, at least in order to eliminate that side of things?

Ok.. so turns out its the battery, -- not so complicated after all. However i wonder if some kernel software contributed...? what do u think....
Now before we all jump to conclusions, let me explain what I HAVE tried and what caused it.
1) I HAVE tried various roms, including stock.
2) I HAVE tried various kernels.. including stock kernel at 600 mhz..
3) There are no reboots when in I'm in recovery.. but in the OS, it reboots within 3 minutes. ANY OS..
4) I tried wiping EVERYTHING.
5) Once I tried fixing this when I went from CWM to TWRP, for some reason, that fixed everything, but 5 days later, now on Nit-picked sense rom, the problem returned.
6) I tried returning to stock 600mhz kernel but it still reboots.
7) yes, I've factory reset it several times now
Here are my conclusions..
1) it is NOT because of frequency
2) it is NOT individual rom at fault
help would be appreciated
Update
The problem solved itself after I reflashed recovery and installed a rom.. but I see a familiar circle here.. a few days later, it'll start behaving like that again
just as predicted.. happened again.. can someone atleast tell me what the cause is?
Check if the battery is okay.... It could be because of a lose connection or something... Otherwise there shouldn't really be any reason for your phone to reboot like that.
Sent from my HTC Desire C using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
thanks for your reply.. but no, I dont think thats the case, I've kept the phone on in recovery for many hours when that happened, nothing.. no problem while flashing either..
once I'm in my new custom OS, sometime while choosing if I'd have data synced manually, it restarts... any rom..
but, when I reflash recovery, it seems ok... last time I did that was when I posted my previous reply, it betrayed me again today.. was fine for nearly a week...
Another thing could be that your RAM is used up and your phone freezes... It's happened to me. So try using zRAM or RAM manager pro or something and see if it helps.

Do you have mobile data turned on? I had the same problem on my desire c it rebooted when data was on. Try to disable data as soon as it turns on! It's unexplainable it randomly went away.

Go back to stock JB, and see if you have problem there. That's how you will see if the problem is because of CM11 or it is some hardware problem.
Same
Me too experiencing this problem. I changed to a new Samsung battery off eBay after which i tried CM11. Its not there always. If i keep phone idle with almost every connectivity toggled OFF, it charges, but when Wi-Fi is on but not in use, the charging is pretty slow or sometimes no progress at all.

If you don't want to go back to JB and do a clean install, you should wipe everything and format system, flash TC Cm11, boot, power off and recovery again, wipes (everything again) and flash the CM u want to use, then gapps -> happiness. Give it a try.
Edit: Stock JB is extremely bad if you don't clean it. There are too many APK files and this phone can't handle that much. That's why Fmod was created... Based on LQE deodexed and deleted every apk what is not needed. With this you can get the most stable rom (CoCore is needed too), the only way to crash sth on it is to go into the test apps. There are some things that are deleted from it.
I have a charging problem too, on cm based cook rom only. Sometimes the battery seems to drop when i connect the phone to use its usb storage

Well,it depends from what you mean with "good"
For me every custom Rom has the same results in battery backup, that is at least 2,5 hours of sot, screen on time, sometimes I get worse sot, sometimes I get better sot,it varies from time to time according to what you do with your phone..btw you should try to change your charger & compare the results..often a damage inside the wire isn't visible with naked eyes, maybe some micro cuts you can barely see at sunlight, can be the reason of your issue mate..
Have a good night pals

Yikes. I didn't even see a ton of info on the subject. I can't imagine there is anything left on the device to cause any issues. Hopefully someone with more knowledge about this sees this post. Note 7 release party Aug 2nd if it comes to that!
same issue i see alot of people with it, its the emmc i confirmed it beause yesterday while i was alseep my emmc decided to give up on life no recovery no download failed to read emmc, the problem is repairing it im not gonna take it to samsung as they will charge almost the price of a new phone i have found a chip for it but it says it has sm n910p/f firmware on it not sure if it would be an issue as i could reflash the tmobile firmware on it.
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Bran...2630152207.html?spm=2114.40010708.4.13.nPWCQ2
any advice on the chip?
So, what was the final solution?
