If you have a problem about software. Backup your data then flash with Odin.
Simply because it will load whole firmware...

Go back to stock JB, and see if you have problem there. That's how you will see if the problem is because of CM11 or it is some hardware problem.

Same
Me too experiencing this problem. I changed to a new Samsung battery off eBay after which i tried CM11. Its not there always. If i keep phone idle with almost every connectivity toggled OFF, it charges, but when Wi-Fi is on but not in use, the charging is pretty slow or sometimes no progress at all.

When you say that - I think that you do not have problem with charging. You can charge phone if you are using it. I told you what to do, to see if the problem is with CM or not. Maybe the problem is with battery…

Try to reinstall that CM again, with all wipes. I do not think that is a CM problem, other users use it normal.

look the last thing that i will do its to install this slow ass stock
im sure on 200% that if i will reinstall the cm its will help just i dont want to wipe my phone now just
all my cm and android files has been ****ed up i think
the stock will not help im sure

If you don't want to go back to JB and do a clean install, you should wipe everything and format system, flash TC Cm11, boot, power off and recovery again, wipes (everything again) and flash the CM u want to use, then gapps -> happiness. Give it a try.
Edit: Stock JB is extremely bad if you don't clean it. There are too many APK files and this phone can't handle that much. That's why Fmod was created... Based on LQE deodexed and deleted every apk what is not needed. With this you can get the most stable rom (CoCore is needed too), the only way to crash sth on it is to go into the test apps. There are some things that are deleted from it.

I have a charging problem too, on cm based cook rom only. Sometimes the battery seems to drop when i connect the phone to use its usb storage

I use the charger that came within the Box. As some of u z.. i too think this could be the prob of the battery, though CM11 of our's is not currently good in Battery backup i guess.
or is it?

Well,it depends from what you mean with "good"
For me every custom Rom has the same results in battery backup, that is at least 2,5 hours of sot, screen on time, sometimes I get worse sot, sometimes I get better sot,it varies from time to time according to what you do with your phone..btw you should try to change your charger & compare the results..often a damage inside the wire isn't visible with naked eyes, maybe some micro cuts you can barely see at sunlight, can be the reason of your issue mate..
Have a good night pals

[Q] Shut Down When Idle V9.2~v9.3(DARKY's)

its happening all over again , i dont think it has to do with the rom but my fone will suddenly shutdown when idle, and it wont respond unless i remove battery and reinsert it back.
when the fone is turned on, the media scanning will be verrryyyy slow and the fone will be very laggg and when i leave it for scanning the fone started to heat up~!!!
never had this b4 since i bought it
i have to reflaash rom to fix it .
Happened since v9.2 and i thought MAYBE v9.3 wont have the problems but it does ~!
Anyone having this problem?
or iz my fone are ****** up?
You tried a complete reflash? (factory reset - stock fw)
Because if you've a heavy fold in system it isn't enough only to reflash the rom...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
thx for the reply though , i've factory resetted twice by now i think , b4 this never happen
but i didnt went to stock instead i go for darky's odin

So you did a factory reset and then install darkys rom, right?
So i would try factory reset again, flash the stock via odin (repartion on) and then flash darkys rom again.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
okey will do
I also had this problem, I also assumed 9.3 would fix it, before installing 9.3 I even cleared data, system apps, factory reset it, formatted boot and every other option in the voodoo recovery menu that I could clear, then installed 9.3 but still I had it on first day, after that I noticed phone wouldn't respond half way through the day, id take it out of pocket and it wouldn't respond, had to take battery out, then when I got it back on, battery would have dropped by 40-50% , so I cleared battery stats after a full charge, then ran battery right down and fully charged again and haven't had a problem since, battery lasts longer too
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Last time the similar thing occured (hot phone, battery dropping quickly). Something (adb shell -> top) unknown was shown to have the CPU 100% busying. A manually kill cooled down the phone right away but i had no idea what caused that to happen : /
Darky should know the answers .
Best path would be to completely wipe the phone put a stock rom on to get it working . Then pick a rom that does not break your phone .

HELP!!! A fairly complex rebooting issue

Here goes; Apologize for the new thread, but due to the complexity i am posting here, (And i couldn't find any issue with the same complexity)
I have been using the note with no issues till about 24 hours ago. However last night -- while i was asleep note battery drained from 100%-0 in like 4 hours.
I recharged in, and assuming that its a kernal issue (I was on ICS 4.0.4 with g-note core kernal)... i changed it to 6 from 6.1, and then upon release of 7 -- i upgraded. the battery dropped from like 15%-0 in no time. After recharging while on the same kernal -- signal started to drop while on calls (I didnt post on the kernal thread -- as i am not sure if it is related).
So i decided to reflash the rom, with safe wipe kernals.... I tried first gnote 3.10, CM9 RC2
then stock 4.0.4 LRG
Stock 4.0.3 LPA
and even gingerbread 2.3.6 LC1.. now i am on this with zero non-stock apps, no SD card, stock Rom with stock CSC.
Now the phone acts as below,
If not connected to power it reboots as soon as you start... After GT-7000 logo (sometimes i can see the bootanimation starting.)
If it is connected to power it fully boots.. and then switches off almost immediately. (boot animation flickers)
It lasts a while longer on recovery -- i was able to flash... and almost do a full back up.,
Download mode works fine and i have been able to flash via Odin as well.
phone says battery is fully charged!
*on the latest reboot --- battery showed at 1% (in andriod) and immediately rebooted. In the cahrging mode it says its full!!!
Any ideas whats going on? or any suggestions i can try???
Thanks in advance!
Have you wipe cache and wipe data on gb rom?
If not, go to recovery and wipe cache n data, and full charge n discharge once.

Unfortunately the note doesn't react to the charger when the battery is removed which may have helped in eliminating a dud battery as a problem. Do you have access to another battery, at least in order to eliminate that side of things?

Weird problem with battery. I dont know what to do

I have different problem. When my battery is full everything is ok ( it is possible to play games, surf on via net ) however when it is around 30%-40% when i start a game or 3g a few minutes later screen shows me a massage that my battery is empty and my mobile will be turn off. When i turn on it again battery status has a " X " inside ( so battery is empty ). Its not possible to drain 30% battery in 2 minutes . It is only when phone draining battery more! ( games , 3g , wifi , camera )
Pls help me
PS now i am on the stock rom 2.3.4 ( the newest one )
I had CM 7.2 CM 10 and ICS. Before ICS everything was ok ...
I tried:
battery stats wipe
full drain then full charge
No effects
Did you try a full wipe, a factory reset or even a smart- or nvflash?
This will probably fix it as it does not look like a hardware related problem, if you want to keep your data simply make a nandroid backup, nvflash back to 10b, then restore the backup via CWM

Question 1: Ye , of course. I did all of them.
Ad 2.
I did everything with smartFlash. I have never used nvflash. Would you tell me a full name of this rom ?
Currently i am using:
LGP990AT-00-V20q-EUR-XX-JAN-24-2012+0_AP
Why should I use 10b rom ? The newest is better I think :>
A few minutes ago I installed a CM 7.2 with etana Kernel. I will test it for 2 days. Then i will do what u tell
EDIT:
The same issue on CM7.2 What should I do ?

It rather looks like a battery calibration problem to me. Download this app called battery calibration from the play store and charge the battery to hundred percent and calibrate your battery. Should solve your problem.
Battery calibration won't solve this, it's useless! Calibration removes batterystats, which are deleted everytime you fully charge your phone.
To me it seems that battery is broken.

[Q] The battery drains very fast

Hello fellow please help please my optimus black is consuming the battery you'll quickly!
happens that they changed the plate to OB and I returned it and everything seemed normal, but When I upgrade to GB (I handed the phone with froyo) because now tells me that the mobile radio consumes up to 70% of the battery and that I have it in airplane mode, the truth is frustrating because in almost 2 hours battery runs out, you do not, someone has had a similar problem? or a solution? thanks
sorry for my bad english.

Try with another battery if you can get or borrow another one.Maybe is just a worn out battery.
does it get hot? some how untouchable hot?
Share the details of battery, how many years old the battery and how many hours of talk-time you used and your average usage.
Try factory reset, battery calibration, don't use more widgets on homescreen, clear cache frequently and close background apps
These are some TIPS, I have excellent battery performance with CM10
The OB only one year, almost did not used to call, only to hear music, whats app, wifi, gps sporadically, the problem started since the turn of the plate, and now worse, I lost the imei to back to froyo: (

I have the same issue, I am using Mackay 4.2.2 ROM but the battery drains from 100% to 30% in 3 hrs - with phone in standby most of the time. Not sure what the problem is. I was using Huexx GB ROM and my battery used to stay for 2 days
You have to check a few things (in order)...
Check if Wifi/GPS/bluetooth/mobile data is on
Clear cache and dalvik cache from recovery
Flash the ROM wiping only cache and dalvik cache (this will restore some values in system files that could cause the battery drain). If you used some app like Pimp My Rom or mess with system files, this step is important
Make sure that there aren't any app that is causing the battery drain (you can use this app to do that https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asksven.betterbatterystats&hl=en )
Check the baseband, and do a match. If Froyo, use v10X, if Gingerbread use v20X, if ICS use v30X. In each version, use the one for your country. For an example, I'm from Portugal and I have IZS, then I use v30B baseband from Portugal (you can download the basebands here: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=1 and here you can use this tool to extract the FLS (aka baseband) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1692191 ) and then wipe cache and dalvik cache
Factory reset
Factory wipe (from recovery), wipe cache, dalvik cache, format /system and /data, delete .android_secure located in the sd card and flash the ROM again
After this and you still have battery problems, try another ROM.
Note: This steps applies to any ROM.

It's a bit much but it's normal that Mackay uses at least 3 times as much battery as Zeus 6.4.

Zeus was best but as it was GB I left it. Will try IZS soon, but Mackay seems a big problem. I have tried few more but all are like the same (all JB ROMs). Not sure if all LGP970 users facing the same
Mackay and all another CM Roms have heavy battery train.
Use Zeus or Marvel, with Marvel i delete all unnecessary Apps, my Black runs 3-5 days.

Help...My note just completely died (sgn 7000)

Was running RRv1 JB, woke up to a screen asking a question in german, no idea what it was. i rebooted and went into a "samsung galaxy note" boot loop. Rebooted recovery, and tried to dirty install RRv1 over the existing version, wiped davlik and cache partition first and then midway though the install my phone went black, never to show a flicker of light ever again.
It was at 100% charge when this all started, i tried replacing the battery with a spare...nothing. It doesnt seem to want to take a charge and there seems to be nothing I can do to get even a spark of life here.
thoughts? (help!)
Jason
U should have done full wipe, data, cache and dalvik all. Try doing it now if you can enter recovery...
I can't, the phone seems dead. I'm hoping for some insights in regards to that

no recovery, then I dont know. Did you flash a non n7000 rom on phone?
If you do have recovery, old known issue, perform the wipes on save kernel and reinstall rom should fix it.
Best go to different rom and or use Phills kernel with the fix included.
That should do it, all at own risk

I have no power, it won't take a charge, it won't turn on even when I put a fully charged battery in it.
I'm asking if anyone knows of a list of things to do when your phone is in this condition. Are there certain things to check by taking the phone apart, I'd there anything I might be able to do, or must I send it away to Samsung?
