After an update on some apps, my phone no longer will receive text messages. It will send them.so I tried restoring to my last back up and received a "MD5 mismatch" error. (I since have fixed that, so I thought) Upon the restore, it did not go back to the backup I had, but wiped everything out and went back to a clean ROM (cyanogen stable 6.1) any help with the texting issue would be greatly appreciated
I had the same problem. Only solution I have found so far is to RUU and re-root.

Hello everyone,
I flashed to Pheonix 4.1 last night from 3.0, previously 2.5. I had 4.03 on only for a few days and then Adam released 4.1 so I made the jump to it [image attached]. The trouble I am having with the lastest build is that email no longer functions properly. I have 2 pop accounts and one Exchange account configured and none will allow me to compose a new email message. I can touch the "compose" button but a new message window never appears. I also cannot reply or forward any email I have received, and yes all account do receive mail properly [image attached].
When attempting to reply or forward, I feel the haptic feedback buzz, a pause for about 2-3 seconds, then a force close [image attached].
Anyone have a thought what may have gone wrong for this to happen?
I'm having a very similar issue with email on Paragon v 3.0....All the email meesages in my inbox appear blank, and the program is very buggy overall....so obviously not useable. I would love to know if there is a fix of some sort, because I love the ROM
you could always pull the email.apk from a different ROM that worked, and place it in the system/app folder on the phone. see if that helps...
I'll give that a try.
Flashed Pheonix 4.1, it's fast but email isn't working - SOLVED!
I checked the file details and the Email.apk was the same back to the 3.0 ROM, maybe even futher but I didn't check beyond that. In stead of replacing it with the exact same data, I decided to remove one of my POP accounts and add it back manually because they had been restored via Titanium Backup. This step corrected the issue so there must have been some form of corruption in a config file from the restore. Good news is, this problem is resolved for me. Now I am looking into an unstable bluetooth connection to my car radio....

hmmmm any ideas if you don't have a titanium backup from the pre-ROM period? I just have a nandroid backup
Sorry, but I didn't work with nandriod backup. I rooted and went straight to a TiBu solution.
I have an AT&T Nexus One. Got it since it was first released for AT&T never had any problems untill now.
I can do anything without problems except when I receive a text message my phone reboots. I tried factory reset no luck. I formatted my sd card wiped my phone and updated my rom from cm6 to the stable version of cm7 and it still reboots after I receive a text message. I searched google and found other people with the same problem with various android phones but I haven't found a fix yet.
I was hoping some of the genius here at xda dev could help me out with this.
My phone is out of warranty and it's unlocked/rooted.
Please help if you can.
Thanks,
Rick

EDIT: Just found out that it restarts when I receive phone call aswell.

This exact problem is happening with my Droid Incredible. I ran CM7 for quite a while and was just living with the problem... it doesn't happen every time I receive a text, but maybe half of the times it triggers my phone to reboot.
I have tried the following, but the phone continues to reboot on receiving texts:
- moved data off of SD card and formatted card.
- wiped data/did factory reset of CM7.
- installed MIUI rom
- wiped data/factory reset of MIUI
- deleted all backups
I'm currently running a completely wiped MIUI phone and it still reboots. I am at a loss as to what to try next. Did you ever solve your problem? Does anyone else have any suggestions?
You could try a new SIM...?
Hi All,
I was using fido OS_Acer_4.004.12.PA.FIDO_A22F_A rom and everytime I got a call from unknown person (not in my contacts) I could see his/hers name and number in the call log. I have decided to flash to LCR-2 Rom. I have installed Malez Recovery 0.6.2, rooted my Liquid-E and and made nandroid backup. Then I have flashed my Liquid with OS_Acer_4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1_A22F_A, installed Malez Recovery 0.6.2, rooted the phone again and flashed with LCR-2 and everything was working just ok. After few days i have noticed that in the call log there are no names with the phone numbers of callers who are not in my contacts. So I have returned to the official OS_Acer_4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1_A22F_A and tested my phone for the missing names( it was perfect with the fido rom). What i have observed is that when i am receiving a call I can see the caller's name and number. It does not matter if I answer the call or not but when I go to the call log I can see his name for a second and then the name disappearsand only the number stays in bold.
So I have decided to go back to Fido rom but I was not able to do nandroid recovery. I am getting an error:run 'nandroid-mobile.sh restore' via console!
I have spent some time to read about this error and was unable to restore my original (stock) rom.
I have tried to load OS_Acer_4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1_A22F_A again with Malez, do the backup and restore but same error.
I found a source for the stock or modified fido update but the links are outdated...
Any help is welcome,
Thank you
Update
I have changed the SD card for a different one (2GB) and I moved nandroid backup files to it. I was able to restore my stock rom and there is no problem with the missing names. Then I loaded Froyometalv3.1 rom. After that the caller's names started do disappear again...
I was using Samsung 16GB class 2 card. Is there any special preparation of the card before using it with the phone ? Why I couldn't restore nandroid backup from it ? Is it too slow ?
Any idea with the caller log ?
Thank you
Hey guys,
Yesterday, I flashed the LiquidSmooth ROM for the HTC One. After flashing the ROM, voice and text were not working (but it still showed that I had 4G) so I restored back to my previous CM11 ROM that I had before LiquidSmooth. Even in CM11 my voice and text were not working. So today, I decided to re-lock my bootloader and use the RUU file to unroot and go back to stock. It still doesn't even work! I cannot send or recieve texts, and when I try to make a call my 4G disappears and I get the error, "Unable to establish a wireless data connection. EHRPD: 0." I called my carrier (Ting) for help and they could not fix it. Can anyone please help me?
I'm having a similar issue. If I flash anything but Beanstalk, I can't send a text. If I flash Beanstalk, my bluetooth constantly crashes.
I got my HTC One M7 Dual SIM (t802w) phone back from service. Before I passed to the service I wiped my phone with factory recovery menu. I would like to restore my phone status from HTC Backup as it was before sent to service. Basically looks right (SMS, WIFI, calls restored) but when "restoring application" (or similar because I am using in Hungarian language) seems that goes into a loop saying "58 of 64" and start over and over again. At the same time application installation in progress. When application installation itself was ended the "restoring application" loop still happens. I go to the Google Play and there was around nine more update. I updated all. Then got still updates even Google Play says there is no upgrades, for example fot HTC Backup application itself. The mentioned loop still displaying "58 of 64" and start from "1 of 64". When upgraded HTC Backup the loop disappeared but restoring process is finished (or canceled). Then I am not able to run manually restoring process because the system says that my already restored. That means I lost (or was not able to restore) a lot of settings for applications. My widgets settings and my homepage setup gone (or was not able to restore).
Is there any known reason for this? Any process to solve this loop and able to restore my phone? It is very frustrating that I have backup and I cannot use therefore I need to setup all my application again.
I am using the latest stock HTC firmware and my device is not rooted. I found some topic similar to this but those are because there was some version or firmware changing. I am not like that I would like to restore exactly to the same firmware as it was.
