[Q] Games for 2.3

So, now that gingerbread has been released and the fact that it was "geared towards gaming", have we even seen ANY games released specifically for it? I've tried googling, looking in market, etc, etc, etc. but anything I search on google returns nothing but news about the release of gingerbread and anything i search on market returns...nothing.
I'm deployed overseas right now and some new games would be pretty awesome to tinker around with.

I haven't noticed any new for gb games, but I have noticed that a few games that I couldn't play on my aria/froyo due to fc issues now run flawlessly on cm7.

The full version of robo defense would constantly fc on me. I'm also now able to use some console emulators I wasn't able to before.

Aria is not the best gaming platform as many of the good games uses ARMv7 instructions while our beloved Aria has just a ARMv6 cpu :/

One thing I have noticed is that I cannot run Need For Speed Shift on CM7. I could run it with no problems on CM6 but it shows the splash screen and then shuts down. I tried reinstalling it several time, and nothing. Has anyone else tried any graphics intensive games on CM7? NFS is the only one I have.
Every other game runs just fine. Robo Defense Full ran just fine on CM6 and just as good on CM7 for me.

Veetle on Android (working well in g tablet)

Hi guys, just thought I'd share my findings. Not sure if many here use veetle but here goes.
So it was the FA Cup final (soccer?) over in england and I can't get a decent steam over here in asia. Thus I turned to veetle. Veetle plays on my g tablet with flash 10.3. But video is a bit choppy. I'm on tnt 4.4.
To overcome this, I searched the net and found a "fix".
Heres what you need to do:
1) Get dolphin hd browser (not sure if setting user agent is available on stock browser)
2) Get vplayer from market (if not available, search online for apk)
3) Go to settings in dolphin browser and set user agent to Iphone (not ipad).
4) Visit veetle.com and stream away. The video should open the vplayer and stream the .m3u8 format from there.
Note: vplayer is a paid app. Free version is a trial for seven days. I bought the app on my desire hd and ported over. It did not appear on my g tablet market. (using olympus build prop). And watching on copy righted content on veetle is not strictly legal but I'm a poor student and theres no decent feed here.

Hmm I don't seem to have that problem...do the rest of your videos play fine with audio?

Worked for me. Sound worked after a hard restart.. This will be too cool for hockey season

Emulators gingerbread roms

Has anyone gotten a genesis emulator to work on any of the gingerbread roms? Took me forever to find that psxdroid would not work but found FSpe that worked no problem.
Update: Thanks to some research anyone still instrested in a genesis emulator for gingerbread google search " gensoid 2.4.3 " . It has to be this version or higher.

Psx4droid has worked fine for me on bamf 2, noticibly slower, but that's in line with what I've seen from smartbench etc. Maybe you've got something else going on.

Got "All in the Family" playing, those were the days...
EDIT: it's pretty flakey and I suspect the hosts file I use to block ads is causing fc's.
No longer sent from my BlackBerry.

I got 2.3.8 running quite nicely on my Capy on SensatioN.

[Q] Qik and QuickOffice

I just flashed over to the honeystreak rom and tried to sideload the two programs, Quickoffice just FCs everytime and Qik was working until that update a couple of days ago where it won't update.

QIK doesn't work on Sense 3 ROMs. I was dissapointed when I found that out. Not sure about Quickoffice.
