Any reason why the density can not be increased above 160 in HoneyComb?
Is this a temporary "feature"?
Or is there any other way to increase fonts and icon sizes ?
i'm sure its just a limitation of the sdk image.
Hi guys I got a question.
My galaxy Note runs ICS with the Team Rocket 1.5v rom.
My question is, can I enable the tablet UI on this rom and how do I do that.
I have seen that it has been done on other roms and I was curious if it was posible with this rom
Thank you and byebye
I don't know about RR1.5, but here is how it's done on AOSP ICS:
- go to Market and download Rom Toolbox (it's free)
- after you start RTB, go to Performance/build.prop tweaks
- you'll see a slider for LCD density there
- set your LCD density at 213 or lower to get tablet mode activated
- press 'yes' when RTB asks you to reboot your phone
That's it.
Well I tried it onTRR 1.5. The status bar at the bottom dnt show up. Dial gets messed up. U cant recieve calls and some more issues i dnt remember so if u want tab mode. Flash AOSP first
Galaxy note
Thanks guys. I will see what I can do.
thanks for this tip. works perfect
but the text and icons are quite small. is there a possibility to increase the text-/icon-size?
especially the text-size
You can modify font size in Settings/Display/Font size.
Ok I tried this, and setup 213. Didn't work atall, and now I have a problem to return my phone to standard 320! Rom toolbox lets me setup 280 at highest.. anyway to get 320 back..?

You need to run an AOSP ROM to enable the tablet UI. It won't work on TW ROM's. To get back to 320 DPI, go to /system/build.prop and change it manually there and reboot.

Use Root Explorer, edit /system/build.prop and change the RO.LCD.DENSITY line to a value of 320, save, reboot.
Thanks mates! Im just too curious to try everything
Hey folks,
this is my first post here in this forum and in addition, english is not my native language so please excuse me spelling/grammar mistakes or if this is the wrong forumthread.
I used my HTC One with Elementalx 13.5.1 Kernel & Android Revolution HD 51 Rom and had no problem with it. I was able to change the DPI/PPI (i mean the display density) as i liked. Now i updated to the new ROM A_R_HD 53 and everytime i change the density in the Build.prop from 480 to 400, I reboot the phone and nothings happens
The Build.prop value stays on 480.. although i granted root access to File Manager.
Anyone got a solution?
//Edit: Okay nevermind, i found the solution here
Cheers
I was running a Feb release of the unofficial CM11 and I changed the DPI to 240. Worked great. I just did a dirty flash up to cm-11-20140714-UNOFFICIAL-ancora_tmo.zip (clear cache, davlik) and everything worked fine except the resolution is at dpi=182. I've edited the build.prop to have ro.sf.lcd_density=240 but after a reboot, it is still at the native (182) resolution. I've also tried an app to change the resolution but all it does it edit build.prop and has the same problem. I'm using the Nova launcher if that is relevant. Any ideas?
Thanks
**Solved**
Nevermind, I got 240 and 182 backwards -- I wanted 182 not 240 but kept setting to 240 and expecting different behavior. Sorry for the noise.
Hi,
ich have Note4 910f (german version). Latest 6.0.1 stock firmware with Feb. 2017 patch.
I changed the dpi with stock firmware without root long time ago with adb shell wm density ... - that was on 5.1.1. Then i updatet to MM OTA and made all ota updates till yesterday. Then i rooted my device (twrp, SuperSU). Now i wanted to change dpi with textdroider_dpi but that doesn´t work. No change, still the old 520 dpi which i changed a year ago. I looked into build.prop and there was 640 dpi (standard note4).
Then i searched for another app in playstore and found a resolution changer, with this app i can change the dpi (on my now rooted device). But build.prop still is on 640.
???
Is this ok or is there something wrong?
Is there another way to change dpi? Other then build.prop (without xposed)?

Stock roms cannot set dpi to 520 as far as i know.
You can set to 560 or 640 only.
Try "dpi changer root " from playstore it works very well.
