[Q]must have nc app?

Hi, can everyone list the app you feel must have?
Google android market is not counted.
Aldiko, no questions asked. Allows Library eBook borrowing straight from the Nook without Side Loading through AdobeDE.

Thanks, Aldiko is great!

HD Youtube app for HD2??

I was wondering something.
I had a HD7 from TMO and found a app on the marketplace that allowed me to see HD youtube videos to either stream or download.
I was wondering if I put WM7 on my HD2 would I be able to use that same app I found on the HD7 marketplace and stream/download HD youtube videos?
I think you are talking about Supertube.

[Q] Youtube HD playback on KFHD 8.9?

I just received my KFHD 8.9, and I can't seem to get it to play YouTube videos in HD. Youtube only seems to work from the mobile website (m.youtube.com), and even if you check the "HD" option the video only displays in SD (looks like about 360p). I already changed my Youtube account settings to "Always choose best quality"...
Anyone able to get Youtube to play in HD?
Edit: I know that you can sideload Flash and an older version of Dolphin HD, but I was hoping for a stock solution.
did you try downloading youtube app? I can put my videos on HD there... 720P at least (Kindle Fire HD 7")

There's no YouTube app in the Amazon AppStore... are you referring to sideloading the Gapps? I was hoping to avoid doing that for something as (seemingly) simple as playing HQ Youtube videos...

Not able to open the childrens books

I have a four year old and want to read him the interactive story books like How the Elephant Got His Trunk. I am running 10.1.3 and sideloaded the nook app (since it wasnt in the app store). Well it says that "this title cannot be viewed on this device."
Is there any way to fix this? Or maybe another source of books like these?

The problem is the Android version of the nook reader does not support kids interactive books. That is because the interactive books are really not books but applications that only the stock reader now's how to operate.

Darn.. Well let me ask you this. If I run the stock rooted software with the "enable unknown sources", could I load up google voice and hangouts at least?

Google voice crashes on stock. I don't know about hangouts.
I suggest you try dual booting where you have stock and CM10.1 each on either SD or internal. Put CM10.1 or CM10.2 on internal and use verygreen's stock on SD so you can put the SD in to run the kids books.

[q] Lack of Nook app on cm10.2

Newb here, I just upgraded my Nook Hd+ stock to cm10.2 nightlies. For the most part everything went smoothly but I'm unable to install the Nook app now.
Is this normal? For Nook to not be able to be able to be installed on Nook hd+'s with cm?
I've downloaded nook from this site
Any bad side effects from Nook not being installed from the Play store?

Have you set allowing apps from unknown sources in settings? You do not explain what you mean by unable to install.
It is normal for the nook app to show as not compatible in the Play Store. Users just side load the app from sites like you referenced. Works fine.

I meant installing through the google play store. I'll keep that in mind in the future, I just thought it was weird that BN wouldn't let me put a nook on my nook. I thought the tablets were a loss leader to encourage you to buy books from them.

It is, but their stock already includes the reader and you are not supposed to be running CM on it. They do not want to encourage people doing that by making the android app available to CM on the nook.
