Bug in 2.3.3 N1: flickering drawer - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just encountered a problem with flickering drawer
I made a bug in the tracker
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=15011

Are you using Launcher pro? If you are, you have to turn 3d app drawer off and just use the 2d till he updates it.
The app drawer should work fine in the stock launcher.

How smooth are the home screen scrolling transitions? I've seen that It's no longer smooth with launcher pro, a bit choppy.

Smooth on mine. Scrollable widgets and everything working smooth. Only problem I've noticed with LP+ is the 3d app drawer.

App Drawer Lags

When i use stock LG Launcher the App Drawer is buttery smooth, but when i replace it with Launcher Pro or Stock Froyo Launcher (From MCR), it seems to be really laggy... it looks like 10 fps...
Any way to fix it?

Live Wallpaper Lag

Hello,
When i use a live wallpaper on my optimus 2x it starts to stutter a little bit when i switch between my homescreens and when i open/close/scroll my appdrawer. I am using CM7 #79 with launcher pro and the wallpaper is the standard "grass" one. Is there any way to fix this?
Sorry for my poor English
I get this little lag too and even with my Motorola Xoom running android 3.2
deactivate wallpaper scrolling in launcher pro and there wont be a lag. had same problem
Deactivating wallpaper scrolling only fix the lag issue while scrolling through the homescreens. It still lags while i scroll/open/close the appdrawer.
your using the 3d app drawer for LP right? yeah it lags on mine too

I started to have that problem on 2.0.6 on HD with another launcher. I found it selective which Widgets did not load. Updating to the latest version of the widget sometimes helped.

Fwiw go launcher hd doesn't have a problem.
Ohhh ... better use then Nova Launcher. Smooth, fast, stable and tons of options (for beginner and advanced).
Hope i end tweaked, modified and optimized theme, based on Nova Launcher and Ultimate custom widget (UCCW). I like Nook simplicity and conciseness. Also i try then inverted version. These are my plans. This alpha i post here too, maybe someone want it.

[FIX] Pulling notification drawer lags (Only Nova Launcher)

Hey Guys.
I think now we all know that pulling the Notification drawer is very laggy, but in many apps its buttery smooth. So i think the problem is the drawer combined with the launcher. On Nova Launcher i found a fix for this. My Notification drawer is very smooth now, like in the apps where it was smooth before. The Only thing i did was:
Nova Settings -> Desktop -> Wallpaper Scrolling-> and now tick Force (in german Kraft). Its designed for other phones which dont support wallpaper scrolling but it increases the smoothness of the drawer extremly
I hope i could help somebody. This was the only thing what annoyed me on aosp roms

[Q] Every launcher I've tried is laggier than the stock launcher

Open an app on the stock Google Now launcher, it's instant. Do it with Nova/Apex/Action launcher etc... there's a split second delay. Action is the best in this sense though, probably because it's been rewritten for Lollipop
Does anyone know of a third party launcher that is actually as fast as the Google Now launcher? And more importantly, is actually using Lollipop code, and isn't an old kitkat launcher
Thanks

You must did something wrong because nova is just as fast if not faster than stock. Change the animation speeds in nova if you want quicker transitions
Sent from my Nexus 6
Yeah Nova feels just as fast for me as stock.
Turn off animations it's faster than stock when using Nova.
Yea i use nova and its every bit as fast as stock
Nova launcher prime is the best

No issues with apex here
Agreed about Nova, change animation in nova to faster than light as its called then it will be faster than stock.
There is definitely a certain fluidity or smoothness to the stock launcher over all others I agree on that. But I think nova is very very close when you set animations to normal. I personally like a little animation and like to see it. It just feels weird turning them off or setting them to super fast speeds. Looks off

Agree… I like the relaxed ☺ nova setting with cube animation
If you go to Nova settings/look and feel/set the speed to faster than light to all three settings and it's faster than stock Google launcher or any launcher.
Launcher3
anyone got a video showing comparisons of the n6 stock launcher speed vs anyother launchers?
Agree
there's no lag on action launcher 3

It really isn't.
On Google Now launcher, when you open an app it's instant
On Nova, when you open an app, the icon lights up (delay) and then the app opens. Changing animation times won't fix that
I use apex. No issue here

I just went back to my home screen and opened each of the six apps I have as shortcuts two times each and they opened instantly upon touching. No lag. Using Nova Prime.
