[APPS][5/23] Collection of TW Mods/Improved TW Experience (Landscape added!) - Fascinate Themes and Apps

Felt like toying around with TouchWiz apps and felt like sharing a few mods of mine. Download the desired apks and place em in your /system/app folder by your method of choice.
All Apps are for FROYO, so only use em if you are on DL30/EB01 or any other Galaxy S Froyo ROM if perchance you aren't a Fascinate user.
Enjoy.
TouchWiz Launcher
-------------------------------------
Based off of GTG's mod of TouchWiz, seeing that in his post he gave up the project, just felt like toying around with it, more versions perhaps to come in the future.
Features
Page-Indicator - Placed on the bottom of the screen similar to TW 4.0, I like using them to zip around homescreens and being the bottom is much more accessible than reaching top. Also fixed their touch area, by default they're biased to the left and it becomes apparent when you space em out more.
Completely removed colored BG images - The BG images that go behind apps in the app drawer, rather than just making them invisible .pngs, completely edited them out of the smali code. I think this is why my App Drawer animations are smoother than GTGs. Will probably upload a version with them later.
Fixed Touch Sensitivity - One of my major issues with GTG's Launchers, they had a lot of bias towards scrolling left and right on homescreens, making TW's scrolling apps a pain to use.
Cleaned up Dock - App titles no longer show up in the Dock and I lowered down the dock both due to the lack of text, and to make space for lower Page-Indicators.
Bunch of minor stuff
3/18 UPDATE
I've finally completed it, after many hours of hard work, frustration at many force closes and force restarts, I bring you my Ultimate Version. This is the base version that will be updated and built upon as future mods come out.
Fixed Force Close Issues - Renaming folders and using Alphabetical List Drawer now work
Removed all lag/stuttering - In GTG Launcher, as was in my older versions, when using 16-bit disabled mode, when in the app drawer if you scrolled fast or pinched you would experience lots of stuttering. I've resolved this issue and now it performs as smooth and responsive as it should be.
Reintegrated Badges - The notification badges for text messages and e-mails (when using TW e-mail) now work. I've also got ALL notifications working, but it requires an add-on app, which I'm still working on and will upload later.
SUB MENU FOR OPTIONS!
The last note is a biggy. When you push the menu soft-key you'll notice that "Search" has been replaced with "Options".

Try 'em out, pretty self-explanatory, though I'll go a bit in detail on 16-bit mode. 16-bit mode trades image quality for speed, however on/off makes no difference in RAM usage, so it's purely a cosmetic difference. In GTG there was a big difference due to the stuttering in the high image quality version, there is no more stuttering, but animations are still smoother in "Speed" mode. "Speed" mode does not work with Live Wallpapers, I've tried before and weird things happen, if you turn on a Live Wallpaper while on "Speed" it'll switch to "Quality". Here are comparison pics so you can see the difference. Some color, but mostly translucency that gets ruined, I personally prefer Quality (which is the default in stock launcher), but hey I give you the freedom of choice.
Speed vs Quality
Expect more options to appear in future versions. Have at it, enjoy my hard work.
ULTIMATE Version rev.1:http://www.mediafire.com/?x8namgc8jf3blua
ULTIMATE Version rev.1 LANDSCAPE ENABLED:http://www.mediafire.com/?2vrorbl2nxay11k
NOTE: I just noticed, the App Drawer in Landscape mode is messed up, Landscape mode is from the Galaxy Tab TouchWiz, so it's trying to use those dimensions, so I am aware of this issue. Homescreens are fine.
Old Versions for educational/curiosity sake:
Original Version:http://www.mediafire.com/?308vib8szt6ia30
5x4 No Dot Version: http://www.mediafire.com/?l1ps5llggf2ab1c
5x4 Dot Version: http://www.mediafire.com/?ki2m9e7borbmw0d
Probably more stuff to come later.

Music Player
--------------------------------------
I noticed a request to turn off the "Low Battery" interruption of the Music Player, and here it is. Have at it, stock music player that you can continue to listen to when below 10% battery.
http://www.mediafire.com/?b233b7rxc97h2w0
BuddiesNow
---------------------------------
This is the Vibrant's BuddiesNow app, I like it much more than Fascinate's. In addition to the RollerDex view that we have, they also have a Grid View which is much better for accessing contacts and viewing notifications regarding them.
Sped up the Bubble Pop-Up considerably.
Fixed Force-Close errors when not using Vibrant's Contacts apps when checking Missed Call. If you notice any other Force-Closes, let me know and I'll fix it up. This fix is for non-Vibrant users, so if you are on Vibrant, this sped up BuddiesNow may force-close on missed call check.

WeatherClock (Accuweather and improved versions to come later)
---------------------------------
I'm personally a fan of Analog Clocks, and I like the weather clock included in touchwiz. What I don't like is that the weather clock does not have a shortcut to the clock app. So here you are, a simple mod that redirects touching the clock to opening the clock app, if you want to view the weather detail view, that's been redirected to the "weatherbug" text at the bottom of the widget (and from within that view you can touch "weatherbug" to bring up the browser link that used to exist on the widget).
There are 3 versions:
Redirect to Touchwiz Clockpackage.http://www.mediafire.com/?go2dc0ezhvew7re
Redirect to AOSP Deskclock.http://www.mediafire.com/?42j315aazb7aa9b
Redirect straight to Alarm of AOSP Deskclock.http://www.mediafire.com/?cabchmb6bwbnmea

I probably will when I've got some more stuff done.
Btw, uploaded some more modded TouchWiz Launchers.

well done...as always

Very nice work. This might be a stupid question, but is there anyway to get some of the widgets, such as Buddies Now to work in Launcher Pro, or are they specifically linked to TouchWiz?

Loving the 5x4 app drawer! It just keeps getting better. Keep it coming. Awsome work!

Any chance of removing thw home page selector dots when not scrolling between homepages? Like the original TW. Or just moving the page icons back to the top? Id just switch back to TWGTG but I like the app icon in the middle of the dock

Well actually, whether the dots are permanent or not is a feature of unmodified TWs, like the Eu i9000 always has theirs there, while for fascinate and the Mesmerize's TW, they disappear over time. The smali code I'm using does not have the functions to hide them over time.
If you like the center app icon, it's a pretty simple change. Take your desired GTG apk and open it with 7-zip or your choice of zip opener. Go to res/drawable-hdpi and replace "mainmenu_icon_application.png" with the one found in mine or any stock TWlauncher.

Launcher pro notifications.....
Wish we could get...(I personally am not smart enough to)...the missed call, gmail,. And text notifications on the dock icons....i would love whoever could make it happen...if it is possible.

TouchWiz Launcher actually does show Bubble Notifications like what you describe, problem is you need the right TouchWiz30Launcher.apk and BadgeProvider.apk combination. This TouchWiz30Launcher doesn't seem to work with the BadgeProvider that comes with the Fascinate, I'm trying to find out which one does and when I do I'll upload the right BadgeProvider. Or, I'll try changing the code and see if it works...

Ahh I forgot that it only worked for Text Messages, I was wondering why my stock TW wasn't showing notifications, heh. Well this is most definitely on my to do list, getting the launcher to show notifications and expanding upon the available notifications, but don't expect anything too soon.

Open Home - Cupcake Edition is here

I have to say its the best home app out there now. I am using it with my modded Carbon glow theme as the default theme.
The pull out dock and soft keyboard is nice and I love the 7 screens.
There is auto rotate and many themes on the market. And the live folder shortcut option (although I wish there was a starred numbers live folder).
It also runs a lot smoother and doesnt take as long to get back to the home screen.
What do you think?
What are the live folders? Nothing shows up for me when I expand the tab
And yes, definatly THE best home alternative there is, I use it with glossy minimalism.

You have to download the add-on app to go with it. Search for Live Folder.

I like it... I'm glad he fixed the Fadetoblue theme.
I like the onscreen soft keyboard.
I like the Application Dock.
I like being able to turn off the workspace lable (W1, W2, etc).
I don't like the stupid watermark (although I'm sure the full version will get rid of that).
All in all I would say that it was a good improvement.
We just need the widgets to go with it!
nice update,
keyboard search is neat and they've added voice search
not sure I'll really use the slide out dock, and
haven't figured out if we can add apps to it.
I installed live folder,
it looks slick but chose the wrong contacts

You are right it does need widget... also bettercut doesnt work great w/ it. Bettercut keeps forgetting that i am working on Open Home so it keeps showing me the original home icons. kind of annoying.

In my opinion it's the best home screen alternative but it remains to be the only one without new widgets. What's up with that? LOL.
I also took a look at the website and they assured us that this app was based off the cupcake actual code so when cupcake is release it should still work flawlessly whereas the others, dxtop, ahome, etc., may not work properly if at all. Let's hope they're right.
Grr..I saw the paid version last night on my way to bed, and thought to myself...Im going to DL that in the morning (ive been waiting for over a week now for this) I woke up this morning, and the paid version is not showing up in the market for me. Is anyone else having this issue??
I like Icon dock, I hope aHome has this dock.
- The dock should be at the bottom of the screen, or on the top of screen
- Should have an option to hide application bar
- Should change interface of the star (which's used to hide/show Dock)
- Should add option to choose landscape mode only
- Need option auto change all icon in G1 (include appications dowloaded from market). This option run as Itune of Apple. Itune auto creat new interface icon for applications downloaded from Itune Store. Original icon of application is not good as you see.

i like it.. i really do... but i like ahome better..... and a home has more widgets... a big plus
AHome is suck. I always suffer from being forced to close the program. I like open home from the very beginning, and today's upgrade is totally amazing with floating dock bar and Cupcake-like keyboard search.
dxTop is my alternative when Open Home Cupcake is not available
I did a review in paid apps/games sticky on this, no watermarks, bettercut works flawlessly! Auto rotate runs slow, i disabled it. I want widgets too but i think the ones from ahome are big and not very well done.

to add apps to the dock just open it up and do as normal. long press and drag. you will need to drag the app off the home screen onto the dock.
Any screenshots?
This is a must have, love the screens, but its killing my battery.

Neither am i, had it since paid version came out.
Why does everyone say better cut doesn't work with Open Home....every time Open Home is updated, they updated Better Cut to ASURE it works. I have yet to have 1 single problem using Better Cut with Open Home. If for ANY reason you are haveing issues, back out of Better Cut (not Home, but back your way out), then re-open. It should ask you to make icons for Home, or Open Home, obviously choose Open Home.
Also loving it still, bought the paid version of OH the second it hit the market Updates have been great. I don't have any battery loss, at lesat nothing I notice. I have a 2400mAh battery, so I'd probably notice it less than the rest of ya.
I'll post some screen shots in just a sec.
These screen shots are in order from screen 1 to 7. Screen 5 shows the soft keyboard, screen 6 shows the pull-out dock bar.

[Android] Fat Free Froyo [ODEX'D RLS5] 11/4

so this is what i have been messing with for the past few days since i think not so super froyo has hit a point that im happy with for the moment
my goal with this build is to get rid of as much of the unneeded apps as possible and shrink the system down as small as it can.
things that are removed from the initial install that are in fresh froyo
-HTC_IME
-Gmail, google search, voice search and pretty much every other google app that can now be installed from the market
-as always live wallpapers and launcher 2 are gone
- the how to use android widget
- their are no other wallpapers or galleries installed on this build too their are plenty of the apps on the market for that
- THIS BUILD IS ENGLISH AND SPANISH ONLY!
things that are in it
- a new blue theme i have been working on (some of the .png's are from losteden, vellowax and some other various themes), its pretty close to perfect but their might be a few hiccups still
- ADW is still the launcher of choice and its still in /data for easy removal
- a different themed clock
- zip align on first boot
- astro and rogue tools are both installed in /data
known issues
- ADW still does the could not load widget error like in Not so super
I was going to odex this build but wasnt able to get the ADB driver to work correctly (if somebody does manage to get it Odex'd feel free to post it)
Also this was merely a test to see how light i could get it and it ended up being decently stable, i don't know how much updating i am going to do to it.
RLS2
-car home and car home launcher removed
-music player removed as their are tons of replacements in the market
- now odex'd
New in odex'd RLS3
-street.apk is now removed since maps is also gone
- voicedialer is also gone seeing at the newest version of voice search on the market can voice dial also it seems pointless
- lowered the volume on the camera shutter noise
RLS4
- newer version of fresh froyo (thanks scooter)
- Now using ADW standalone with a myn warm twopointtwo inspired look
- Flutey phone ringtone now include by default
- different wallpaper this time around
- bright blue themed desk clock
- more "sensible" notification drawer
RLS5
-fixed facebook sync
-fixed the graphical issue with the status bar highlights being green instead of blue
-added the blue keyboard from my Galaxy S theme/port (delete key is a little small but the keyboard file size is overall smaller.
-new boot animation that goes better with the theme
screenies

DOWNLOAD RLS1 DEODEX
here is an odex'd version of the build, the music player is also removed seeing as there are a ton of free options for that on the market that do it better
also this is untested as far as data and sms, it should work fine ( i did check to make sure there was not a call hang issue)
ODEX DOWNLOAD RLS5
right on good job, i was wondering how long before someone would make a stripped down version. ive been using
Incubus26Jc's Super FroYo 2.2.1 [Deodexed] [RLS13] and removed all the same aps you have aswell as camera, bluetooth, car home rogue tools..think thats it....ive also installed 2-3 apps. i managed to have 37mb free after boot up but it slowly works its way down to 20-27mb throughout the day even with closing all open applications and emptying caches....once i reboot its fine again..
do you happen to know how much space if freed up on nand on this?
im digging the blue theme too
I understand that ADW is your launcher of choice, but in a build like this, meant for speed and being light weight why wouldn't you use LauncherPro? Again, I know it's your preference but it's just a thought. The fact that it can be removed easily is great as well as I'll be grabbing LauncherPro after the install. I just always thought ADW was a bit slower than LauncherPro. Anyways, thanks for this! I was waiting for a build like this and the closest was freshFroyo which was a little too bland
thoughtlesskyle,
I like your ROMs, each new release is faster and nicer
Could you add a more advance power control widget like the CyanogenMod ROM?
Could you add some advance settings similar as the CyanogenMod Settings?
Keep going on with the good stuff.
Love this build, light and fast! The blue theme is soo refreshing especially in the messaging app, i got sooo bored of the grey and black.
I really like the blue theme including the notification bar with battery indicator, any way to use it on your main rls? Can you post an update?

my reasoning for using adw is simple, so version 1.1.5 doesnt feel too clunky too me and also i feel that launcher pro takes away alot of functionality unless you buy the full version, things like resizing widgets and that stuff are all locked in the free version where as ADW doesnt have that issue

as far as adding those settings i dont think i can CM builds are built off a modified source code, so like they dont use a services.jar for theming and stuff
what i can do though is i can strip down a version of the CM6 port and theme it you will just have to to adjust the clock color and notification ticker color in CM settings
and last but not least any apps you guys would like to see removed for a next build?
and im really glad you all like it, and the total file size of this androidinstall.tar is 69.5MB's Not So Super 91.2 all languages, so a considerable space savings

look in the market for an app called hot reboot, it reboots just the shell of android (closes all apps and processes just like a restart) and takes just a few seconds

I love having stripped down builds, but the HTC_IME is a must for me. I think that's the only thing holding me back from trying this (currently using your rls17).
Is there an apk for the HTC_IME (for 240x320 resolution) around anywhere? All the HTC_IME apk's I keep finding are the wrong resolution and look like crap on 240x320.
Or is there some other way to install the HTC_IME other than through an apk?
Edit: I think I found it in the system apps. I'll just try throwing it into this build and seeing if that works. Haha!

It's not easy to type a SMS in dutch (or other language) because of T9 is always on.

Do you know which files I need to add or update for all languages?
What I found with comparing fresh froyo the EU and ALL are the following files:
system\framework\framework-res.apk
..\resources.arsc
..\META-INF\CERT.SF
..\META-INF\MANIFEST.MF
..\res\raw-*
system\lib\libicudata.so
* all languages
I thought that the resources.arsc is modified for 1% battery in your EU ROM.
May be someone can do the same modification in the resources.arsc of the ALL Language ROM.

May be someone can do the same modification in the resources.arsc of the ALL Language ROM.

Cool. Adding in the htcime from your Not So Super Froyo ROM worked, but I'll use this from now on.

find it, don't hesitate to ask. There are other users here willing to help you. Feel free to comment in this thread or send me a PM
if you feel the thread needs an update on any of the steps.
After initial setup you can personalize your settings some more. The first thing you're going to wanna edit is the Layout
- The grid size: If you're familiar with LauncherPro or ADW you should know that grid sizes determines how the screen will look.
WidgetLocker allows for up to 10x10 grid. Try it out and see what you like best. The grid size also changes the way themes look.
You can think of it like changing your density, unless you use the anchor. It will automatically resize the theme to the appropriate
size. It doesn't work in landscape mode, though.
- The wallpaper: The issue is that the system can only have one wallpaper and it's shared globally. So WidgetLocker's custom
wallpapers are just images that WidgetLocker displays as a background. The best fix for this might be for WidgetLocker to let you select
a file, using gallery or astro or whatever, and then have WidgetLocker do the cropping itself. This way it gets the actual image and can still
crop it or scale it down (sanely) to avoid using so much memory, but can be done without banding. If you want to do it manually in the mean
time and are rooted you can replace WidgetLocker's /data/data/com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker/files/wallpaper.png with your own. Just make
sure the resolution matches your phones. Then disable/reenable WidgetLocker to get it to reload.
- Installing a custom slider: Since WidgetLocker 2.0 custom themes are supported and come in the .wltheme.zip format. This means you can
open it and your phone will prompt you to Install and Add the theme. The themes are saved on your SD card (/data/com.widgetlocker.teslacoilsw/themes).
You can also copy the theme.wltheme.zip to the folder on your SD card. Naturally the theme will be unavailable once your SD card is mounted to a
computer or something similar. It will return to normal once you unmount it again. You add the themes you've installed by longpressing the screen and
choose Custom Slider. There you can do even further settings, like slide from right to left. If not you simply press "Add".
- Advanced settings: You can use Root Helper to avoid seeing the standard Android lockscreen if you have root. This is not something the developer of
WidgetLocker can do anything about. Check the information found in the application regarding root and standard lockscreen. An alternative is downloading
NoLock from the Market. If you've got root and a custom ROM loaded you can probably disable the lockscreen under Power Settings.
1) Create a new document.
The height of the slider is 150 - but we're going to add two extra pixels. WidgetLocker uses _3.png which allows for up and downsizing of the sliders. That means the
themes can be used with basically any device, ranging from HTC Wildfire to the Motorola Xoom. It's still not a hundred percent - but it's a hell of a lot better than the
old way of theming. More on _3.png in the next step
2) The black pixel (_3.png)
As you can see in the image below I've added a 1x1 pixel on the very top of my image. You can either zoom in a couple of times or create a smallest box you possibly
can in full view. The pixel has to be 1x1 if not it'll be shown in the theme. Which doesn't look good. In the picture below I'm zoomed in at 200 % (I think).
Continue making your design.
3) The slider
The actual size of the slider you can change around just as much as the background. I usually go with the same height, that way aligning the slider and background seems
easier. This is pretty self explanatory, see the below image.
Continue making your design.
This is what you want your themes folder to look like. The slider_right is fully transparent. There's no need to actually make it transparent. If your background doesn't contain
any text you can include a second arrow (like above) but the other way so other users can choose themselves if the want to slide left or right. (Protip)
Then finally .zip the themes-folder!

Themes:
The image heights don't allow sliders to appear on the very bottom of screen. This goes especially for the iphone themes. The slider
and background height don't look the same height no matter what I try in Photoshop. There are other users that are reporting this; Is it a user issue
or something that should be addressed?
It's my fault for poor examples and documentation, but can be handled by themers. I should've made the default iPhone background 152px tall so themers
would know to keep that, but didn't. Themes assume HDPI, so one standard slider row is 150px tall. Three Patch images have the 1 pixel border on all sides,
so a 152px tall background will perfectly fill out one standard row. WidgetLocker will scale/stretch the image if the row size is different. I've attached an ugly
iPhone theme to demonstrate.
Same idea for the sense slider, it defaults to two rows, so 300px background, no need for the 2 extra pixels since it's not a three patch.
Is there a possibility to disable the Sense clock?
I'll add this soon. Not 2.0.1, but probably 2.0.2.
Wishes:
More ways to unlock the screen! It'd be great if we could make a slider like the one attached. That'd be freaking awesome to be honest with you.
That's something people have even have been sending me PMs about!
I think the attached could be done, remove the Anchor then resize an iPhone slider to be vertical. But the theme would like kind of funny horizontally since WL
rotates the other direction.
I'm definitely planning on some more unlock methods. HoneyComb for sure, possibly something like MIUI, and maybe the Samsung puzzle unlock as well as the Samsung
sweep glass (Which is kind of similar to that WP7 one, except for the transparent part.
Android 2.1 and 2.3, but not 2.2, could handle transparent WidgetLocker pretty easily, 2.2 has some bug where lock screen interactions are difficult for a transparent activity.
I can work around it, but it's a pain since most of my users are on 2.2. But it's on my radar.

My guess is most people won't sign their .apk after applying the images.
Unless they use the APK Manager-step in the 'tutorial' of course.
Don't you need root to get to the APK in the first place? I can't access data/app without Root Explorer

I'm a little unsure, but seeing as non-ROOTED users are pulling their .apks and pushing them back I'm guessing root isn't necessary to pull the app from /data.
If it were located in /system I'm sure you would need root in order to pull it.
Root Explorer allows you to explore the 'locked down' parts of your phone. You cannot access /data with normal file browsers.
But regardless; Without root you can pull the .apk using your computer.
If it's gonna work when you push it back is the bigger question.
You can backup application
There's a little confusion here about rooting.
Allow me to clear it up.
I'm not rooted. But I don't purchase apk files from the Market.
I download them all. So I originally have the apk files on my computer.
I then run the APK Manager and go from there, then put the signed apk file on my SD card, use Astro to install it and voila.

[APP][WIDGET] NotiList Widget - v0.6b - 27 feb - Bigger size option - GEAR Exclusive

Perhaps I got a little bored when NotiCounter reached v1.0 and the ideas for new features ran out...
So, I started this little project aswell:
The NotiList Widget shows the latest (3 atm, to bad but scrolling widget is not possible) arrived notifications in a 4x4 widget, for now taping a widget shows the Text Message (Aka Line 2 in the widget)
If I manage I´ll try to launch the official Notifications app straight into the chosen message, or even better, manage to make it read (by the system) just by taping it. Don´t know if any of these goals are reachable though.
So what does the Gear community think? Shall I continue with this or am I just wasting my time?
I´ll release it anyway...
Note, This will probably merge into NotiCounter in the future, but if I release a beta I´ll keep em separated for now...

Cool!
Why is a scrolling widget not possible?
I use Simple Calendar Widget on my Gear and can scroll up and down through several days worth of events.
Or, do you mean auto-scrolling?
Manual scrolling is better anyway, IMHO.

I really like this idea ! Great proof of concept.
I would use this no doubt, this could even replace unread notification count, I would much rather use this.
SUGGESTIONS:
Configurable unread notifications or all notifications.
Configurable amount of notifications, for example the last 5.
Configurable border & text color.
Scrollable view.

Yeah the Gear itself supports it, no problem there.
Problem is I´m developing my apps with Basic4Android and it´s not supporting scrollable widgets.
Haven´t gotten the time to teach myself Eclipse yet so I stick with this for now

Yeah I´ll use this widget on one of my Home screens not mather what the community thinks
Just wanted to know how much work I would put on configurations.
I can manage the first three suggestions, but as I said above, scrollable widget is not possible atm.
Is the size good enough or should I make is bigger?

I think this should be a 320x320, although perhaps a few widget sizes could be considered also ?
Why is a scrollable view not possible ?
I always thought it was a matter of declaring elements in a scrollview tag.
This is for your consideration.

I´m aware of the Scrollview class, the whole config for NotiCounter is based on that. No problem to attach to an Activity. Problem is that it´s not possible to add an Scrollview to an Widget as it´s not supported by Basic4Android:
http://www.basic4ppc.com/android/forum/threads/scrollview-in-widget.34011/
There may be a chance to add this if I create the base in B4A and then decompile the genererated APK, import the source to Eclipse and change the necessary files. I´ll give it a shot.

Should be a matter of just editing the layout, does B4A support layouts etc ?
Is it the same file structure as android ? Or does it generate all of that for you ? Not familiar with B4A you see..
Regardless tho if you need a hand give me a yell.

Yes it supports layouts for both Activities and Widgets, however widgets only supports some viewtypes:
Widgets do not support all views types. The following views are supported:
- Button (default drawable)
- Label (ColorDrawable or GradientDrawable)
- Panel (ColorDrawable or GradientDrawable)
- ImageView
- ProgressBar (both modes)

So it´s got nothing to do with the actual layout.
The generated file uses the same file structure as APKs created by Eclipse, so if I reverse enginere the APK I should be able to import the source in Eclipse and add the scrolling afterwards..
Or maybe someone else can help us with it if I don´t pull that part off.

It will only fit on a full screen ie without dock and notification bar at top of screen (full system ui). Use nova to hide both.

True, I´we not added some check for how many items there is in the notification db yet. It purely just pick the last 6 items, if theres less than that, an FC will be the result.

[APP][5.0+] Widget Drawer

Do you use widgets frequently? Are you maybe tired of having to go to the home screen just to take a quick glance at your inbox? You could just open the widget's app, but then you have to wait for the app to open and load.
Widget Drawer aims to take care of this convenience issue by adding a way for you to access your widgets from nearly any app or screen.
When enabled, Widget Drawer will add a handle to the side of your screen. Simply swipe that handle inward and you will be presented with an area to add widgets. This handle will stay on the screen whether you're on the home screen, browsing the internet, or reading a book.
Widget Drawer also provides certain customization options for the drawer itself:
Change the height of each widget
Set whether a widget should take up 1 or 2 columns in width
Reorder widgets
Choose whether or not widgets should have an opaque background
The handle has a few options as well. It can be moved vertically or even to the other side of the screen by long-pressing it and then dragging. The size and color can even be personalized from within the app itself.
Widget Drawer makes use of the following permissions:
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW
- Used to show the drawer over other apps
VIBRATE
- Used to provide haptic feedback for certain actions
FOREGROUND_SERVICE
- Used to start a foreground Service to keep Widget Drawer running
BIND_APPWIDGET
- Used to host the widgets
INTERNET
- Used by Firebase to track crashes and gather logs

Just bought the app, it's a great idea.
However, some widgets could not be found (eg. Greenify). Please check.
Also, please add the function to close the panel by clicking on empty space.
Thanks.
Good idea! I'm currently building a widget myself so it's nice to see people embracing widgets more (And see that it also works with your app yay).
Small suggestion already. Can the handle color be transparant? Should be just a small use alpha = true or something in the color picker. (I'm familiar with the library)
I could not get it to work right, I'm on Oreo 8.1, I got refunded. I am interested so I'll try it again once it comes out of beta.

Great app! Have been looking for something like this for a very long time.
It would be nice if side triggers could be disabled and you can add a shorcut to access the widgets. That way triggers can be assigned to gestures for some of us that use gestures apps
Maybe you can check this discontinued-app functionality, in order to improve yours

OMG! You are fast, bro! As a suggestion, aesthetically would be better if bottom toolbar only appears when the app is open (so widgets aspect can only be edited by acessing the app), and make it go away when the drawer is being accessed either by triggers or shortcuts.
Also the transition from opened drawer to closed drawer when tapping and empty space, has some lag.
Would be possible an option to remove padding?
Thanks for this app!

Another suggestion, please allow 4 icon widgets (shortcuts) in a row.
As you can see one icon is taking up 2 columns at the moment, that's wasting space if you ask me.

Nice idea, this will give the app a cleaner look.
As for landscape mode, if it gets supported, please make it optional.

I can either make each widget span a single column or span all of them. So if the division were four, it would be 1/4 width or full width. Intermediates aren't possible.
First of all, thanks for this useful app, it was exactly what I was looking for, tried a few other before this 1 but they didn't quite work how I wanted.
I have a few suggestions I hope you would consider adding as options in the settings.
1. A scroll bar, I have a few scrolling widgets (e.g. flamingo for twitter), so I need to make sure I use the widget header to scroll through your app.
2. A full immersive setting or a way to minimise/toggle your bottom bar.
3. This ones not essential but would be nice to swipe left or right to close your widget drawer.
On a final note, even though it's working great, I really hope you continue to develope this app, and if it helps to motivate development I think you should consider adding a donate option, since the app price is so low.
Many thanks

1. A persistent scrollbar is a good idea.
2. I've been thinking of ways to allow hiding the toolbar. I guess a small trigger button in the bottom right that is pulled or tapped could work.
3. I'm not sure how well this would work. I'm already doing a lot of hacky stuff just to have scrolling work properly (normally, even non-scrollable widgets would block the overall scroll).
I don't have any plans to stop development for the time being. The price is actually more of a "stop and think sort of thing." I don't want people blindly downloading the app and then getting mad at me because they didn't read the description and thought it was something else.
I'm glad you like the app so far!
This app is great and has amazing utility! I bought it right away when I seen this thread. So far everything is working great except I can't resize the Google keep widget. My other widgets resize perfectly but keep will move up or down instead of resizing. Thank you for the awesome app!

It might have a max height set in the widget. I can't force it.

Somehow I can't have the app run at boot complete. I have white listed the app from all battery saving apps and doze. I don't know if it's just me or someone else is also having this issue, but please check. Thanks.
