I have installed phiremod nook V3 on my nc,

except for the wifi connection.
My nc can't connect to any hotspot even my iphone 4
but it can connect to my router (linksys 54-TM the setting is G not mix mode).
It lets my NC only can be used in my home.
Is anyone experienced with the issue? Any fix?
thx a lot!

Tilt with HTC ROM, Mac, and Internet Connection Sharing?

Hi Guys,
I've used the Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) before on the AT&T 8525 with Schapp's WM6 ROM. I am trying to do it on my Mac using my AT&T Tilt running HTC stock ROM. It shows that the connection works, paired, and is "connected" on my TILT via Bluetooth, but when I try opening a webpage on my Mac, the browser isn't connected to the net.
Is anyone else having the same problem or can offer a fix?
By the way, running OS 10.4.10 and am on an Intel processor.
In "Systems Settings/Network" you got to arrange the different inteface in right order, with "the most wanted" highest on list. I have my bluetooth PAN above Ethernet and Airport. I'm on a MBP 2.4 and Leopard, and for me it works absolutly great!!!

Thanks so much!!! That works. I moved the BT and BT PAN up above ethernet and airport like you said and it works like a beautiful charm!
You might also want to consider sharing your internet connection via WiFi instead. It's much faster.
There is a thread floating around here somewhere with an all-in-one wifi router program that will do this without you having to perform the registry tweaks.
edit: and it works great on my mac
Is sharing the internet over WiFi a bigger battery drain than the USB ICS?
Sharing Internet over wifi = More battery drain on Pocket PC
Sharing Internet over USB = More battery drain of Laptop PC as your phone will also be charged by this time.

Carty..

[Q] wireless tether to a cr-48??

Anyone here with a cr-48 been successful at connecting with a wireless tether app with the captivate? I am having trouble getting it to work.
I cannot get my CR-48 to connect to my DINC either, I am running Cyanogen 6.1 with the wireless tether. So I would like to know if you have found anything regarding this situation.
lucky bastards.. i'd love one of those..
Anyone have some luck on this?
Yeah, I have a droid eris rooted running a cyanogen mod rom and an unable to get the wireless tether to work on my cr-48 either. It connects to my ipad just fine so I'm assuming it is the computer. Though thinking about it, I had issues connecting it to my other laptop running linux (ubuntu 10.10) so maybe it is something in the linux build.
I think it's because wireless tether uses adhoc. I have read that people can get it to work through usb, but that is no fun. I am trying it on a Droid X. I submitted a bug feedback asking Google if the CR-48 supports adhoc and if that is the issue.
i am currently using my cr48 via the wireless hotspot app on my htc desire - leedroid v2.2f - connects without a problem but i don't have 3G in my area so it's very slow.

MyWi iOS tethering via WiFi not working.

The tab detects and connect to my WEP/WPA2 hotspot just fine, but there seems to be no internet connection. Any idea why?
Thanks.
PS: It seems my Asus Transformer has the same problem. Though this tablet works via Bluetooth.

[Q] Which one: adhoc or BT for tethering?

Thanks in advance.
There are detailed posts and instructions here for connectivity for my NC via tethering.
I thought I'd ask the opinions from users who've tried both techniques for connectivity via their cell phone.
I'm using a rooted Droid X, running Barnacle to create an adhoc wifi hotspot for use with my laptop already.
I'd like to be able to use my NC (CM7) by connecting through my phone as well.
The adhoc technique looks good, but the sleep issues and others make it appear a bit tricky.
BT sounds easier, but it looks like a very short connection range.
Opinions as to which you prefer?
Garrett
Use this one __connectify.me (sorry i cant post link yet)
It make a vitural wifi with wpa2 network (not ad-hoc). It works so good that even my kindle can connect to internet through it.
Is this an app for my Droid X, or the NC?
Thanks!
Garrett
Neither. It's for PC.

[Q] CM10 bluetooth tether

Has anyone managed to get bluetooth tether to a mobile phone working?
I know my phone is set up properly because from my laptop I can tether to it over bluetooth.
When I try it from my HD+, the phone reports that a client is connected - but the HD+ says "no internet connection".

I'm on a Galaxy s3 and I can't seem to get to to connect for blue tooth tethering without connecting to the wife tether first. If you can tell me how to circumvent the wife connection, I'd be glad to check. What type of phone do you have?
Sent from my Nook HD
I am not sure that I understand your message.
Based on what you described, I tried first using wifi tether from the tablet to the phone (worked perfectly) and then tried switching to bluetooth tether. But the result is the same - bluetooth tether is connected but the Nook HD+ says "no internet connection".
For reference, my phone is a ZTE Skate running "Paranoid Android" which is based on Cyanogenmod 9.
