[Q] Longer Screen Timeout Delay? - Nook Color General

The wifi going off when Nook is sleeping is about the only thing about "Rooty" that bothers me. Is there a way to extend the screen timeout delay beyond 1 hour? And to help with the resultant battery life is there a way to to dim the screen more than the minimum on Color Tools?
(An hour later) I am running WakeTimer keeping the CPU and Screen locked on, and to possibly reduce battery usage and possible image persistence I have black picture up. Hit 'n' Rooty has been awake the whole time, WiFi still connected. Checking to see what the does to battery life.

9.5% per hour. Wi Fi stays on.

My battery sucks now :( ....but why?

I can only get through about 8-9 hours of usage (this is with only 2 hours of onscreen time). I have multiple Smart Actions set to conserve battery life and I use low brightness settings (medium at highest when not charging, then auto set to low once the battery goes under 50%). Why does my battery life suck so much?

Have you checked any background processes? I don't use Smart Actions but I can still get 16 hours in normal use. Turn to sleep mode at night might help to conserve battery life.

Love it Love it Love it
I don't mind screen timeout, I'm talking about battery life and screen on time (SOT).

sorry my bad
settings> power> history
youll find a graphic there.
hi yes I know there is a graphics with timeline but not hours and minutes to tell you how long screen has been turned on since last charging. I'm using GSam Battery Monitor app to calculate my SOT, I'm got this HTC from new 3 days now and I'm after second charge.
My results are not bad, see picture Time since last full charge: 18h34m, 69% remaining including
Screen on Time 1h29m, Calls 20min, WiFi 10h, Web Browsing 30min, Nova 3 gaming 30min, few emails, txt, Auto sync off (just check emails when I want), location off, Auto brightness on, power saving mode on (turned off while gaming). While I sleep 7hrs battery dropped 2% only. Due to not big 2100mAh battery it seems to be good.

Screen stays on despite period of inactivity.

Hello all,
Since the latest firmware update, my G Watch R no longer turns it's screen off when i leave it on my bedside table overnight (not charging) where as it does turn off if it's on the charging cradle.
I've always had the screen set to always on and it generally lasts 2 days easily before the update but now that the screen stays on ambient mode, the battery would drop from 60-70% to around 35-40% after several hours while I'm asleep. I've done a factory reset last week and it didn't help.
On a slightly related note, the battery seems to drain much faster when it reaches below 20% and most of the time it just dies at around 5-10% left even with battery saver on.
Anyone else encountered this?
go into the wear app on your phone and disable always on screen. u also need to do this from the watch settings as well.
But that would turn off ambient mode which I want on and had done so since I bought the watch in November.
I have the same issue as well. Would love to have it back.

How to increase the deep sleeping time of screen off time?

Hello everyone,
As the title said, I want to increase the deep sleeping time of screen off time because now it just account for about 47% of whole screen off time, while on my last phone, Nexus 6P, the number can reach about 90%. With the low percent of the deep sleeping time, I think my phone use battery a little fast in screen off time. Approximately the speed of battery consumption in screen off time is half of one in screen on time. The attach file shows the Battery usage within AccuBattery.
Can anyone give some advice? Thanks a lot!

Screen Mode

Is there any relation between screen mode Adaptative Display and battery? I try basic mode for a week now, and the battery and screen on time greatly improve. I dont know if this is placebo. But my phone usage always the same. Browsing and light gaming. Before this 4 hours SOT, now i can get easily around 6-7 hours. The only change i made was changing the screen mode. Does adaptative display mode use phone sensor and make our battery drain?
Under Battery Usage in Settings, you can see the battery taken by 'Screen' while Active.
Divide this by number of minutes of Screen on time and you should get the idea of battery consumer per minute and can compare both.
