[Q] iGO - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Is there any iGO version working on SGT in full screen mode?

No.
Use Copilot instead imo

Bringing this back up... I have used Copilot and dont like it. IGo maps are more up to date and I am specifically looking for egypt maps which are very limited on Copilot.
Come on... cant someone find a fix for iGo? why is it so complicated...
Thanks...

Try sygic aura 3??

i want navigation app that will work on android 4

i have Nexus s with ics 4 i want navigation app that will work good thanks .
Sorry with ICS they decided there was no need for navigation, so no new phones will have it. You'll have to buy an iPhone if you want navigation and buy an app that's over $9000.
Try Sygic GPS, works here on CM9aplha11.
Search the Sygic support forums, there is a beta version for ICS...

You could take a look at this thread here: [APP MOD] Google Maps 6.4.0 ownhere/Brut.all- NAVIGATION all roads.
There are 3 installation methods there.
From what I read, one method requires no root access, so you could give it a try.
Anyway, I used the third method using Root Explorer (replacing the apk & setting permissions).
Navigation works fine now in Indonesia.
also i confirm Sygic works, CM9 alpha
not perfect (app crashed one time over three usage) but works smoothly

I'm using ALK Copilot for road/city
Maverick Pro for offroad / walking / hikking
They both use offline maps stored on the internal SD card

hehe well, i'm frm Symbian background, where I could get any paid app for free easily. This is my first android device, so will kind of take time to get used to it. And 23 euro is costly for me here in India
Sygic is pretty good. Also navfree works and its ok.
+1 for CoPilot for navigation. For hiking, Prus Maps is nice, and free.

Meaning Orux Maps, not Prus Maps.

I'm using GPS Grid Reference from the Market. I've downloaded all the Ordinance Survey tiles at all resolutions for SE England on my PC and pre-cached them on the SD card - i.e. the phone doesn't have to get them off-air any more. There are instructions how to do this on the app dev's website.

Navigation for ICS Ports

I have searched the forum but haven't found anything about this.
I've had iGo when I was on Darky or miui GB. but now I'm on Codenameandroid 1.4.0 ICS. iGo won't work on ICS I guess or it might be my problem. my question is;
What navigation app do you use with ICS?
I've heard Sygic and Navigon works but haven't tried yet.
Try Waze available for free in the market! Which country are we talking about?

Is your LG supported for?
I had installed western europe (2,63 GB) on sgs3....
You have to search from PC for now. Tom Tom is great but only in western Europe;
I tested Tom Tom Maps in Romania - where I live with Sygic, and to be honest I don't know why they allow the app in the market for Romanian buyers... the maps are utterly crap... you will find your way faster by stopping every 15 minutes and asking for directions!
So don't stress, it's only worth it if you live in western Europe... If you want whole Europe coverage you are better off with an app that uses Navteq maps, something like Navigon (wich I hate) and iGo that it's not available in the market...
Stay away from Sygic, Ndrive, Wisepilot, route 66 and now TomTom.
I hope you understand my comment, I saw you are from Romania too!
Did you change your display dpi? This caused a "this app is not compatible" notification for me in the play store for apps that i normally could download and install. Fixed it with a patched version of the play store.

I searched xda and only found old info. http://forum.xda-developers.com/sitesearch.php?q=navigon or tom tom
Which one of the latest apps do you prefer and why? (or do you like something different)

Try sygic it's pretty good!!!!

Since there is an issue with GPS does it matter what you use?
My two cents are in for co-pilot. All maps are downloaded to your device. It's over 1gb data file for the entire US but you can navigate without data connection.
via stark naked magic
Google maps or waze
