Hi,
I'd seen some of these on ebay and some of the specialty sites, but I didn't really feel like paying $15 after shipping to get one. So on a whim, I went to radio shack bought one they had there, and gave it a try. It worked. Unit is a 'Stereo to Stereo Audio Adapter' 'Accepts 1/8" phone plug fits 3/32" phone jack'. Item number 274-373, upc 0-40293-13186-9.
$3.99
but it dont let you use a mic and pickup the phone like this one does it ?
http://pc-mobile.net/pxdaa.htm
i used the adaptor from radioshack $2.99 i think
i plug my casset adoptor in the car, and listen to mp3s on my car stereo... and oh yea, i can use the mic just fine! its nice when im driving. auto stop the music to take the call, then goes back to music, very nice
Well as soon as I woke up today I went online to by some streak accessories, but while on the site I could only find the car kit. So I started a chat and they told me that the accessories were only available if you purchased a Streak at the same time. That was bs so I told the girl I bought mine from Dell.Uk ( Ebay ) and then she set me up with a purchase window. $76 later though I am feeling some buyer's remorse. I'm trying to rationalize by telling myself I will keep this phone until Froyo at least and that giving away my iPhone4 was worth it all. <sigh> So far it has been good I guess.......

Did you feel the chains come off?

Thats funny, I did the same thing!!! I had to give my wife the iPhone 4 so I could get the Streak. I pre-ordered mine as soon as I woke up!!! I was a little upset that I had to spend an additional $100 to get the home and car docks, you would think they could throw one of them in for the $300 price tag... Oh well, I cant wait until tuesday! Hopefully it will be worth every penny of the $450 I paid

Aha good thinking now every time she calls you the phone will lose signal and cut out and you won't have to talk to her...........very clever
if yours is a uk streak you can download 2.1 now? releasted today in the uk... check the other thread for the link!
I did not purchase a Streak yesterday but did indeed purchase the car docking kit and the home docking stations. Considering from the home docking station you will have hdmi out, it is well worth it
But yes a complete ripoff for just a piece of plastic. The car docking kit was a decent price

I still to this day do not know which version of the phone I have. I know it is a US version unlocked, but beta or what I do not know. Anyway, I have updated to 2.1 and I had a few problems. The best one is now my usb cable will not work....so....my streak is dead waiting for a charge on the dock that should arrive IN 5 DAYS!

The home AV dock is a quality piece of kit, way better build quality than the ones I've bought from SE & HTC in the past. Don't knock it til you've seen one! Having said that the price is still shocking

I've had the home dock for about a week now and I am very happy with it. It is a quality piece of equipment. I never have to fumble getting it in there like with the regular charger. Slides right in every time! Sits perfect height next to my monitor. I love it and have almost entirely forgotten that I paid over $70 for it.
With the PDMI connector, I find it hard to connect the USB cable. I have read the reason for the PDMI, and perhaps the hard fit is to help stabalize multiple sized devices on one port.
I read that the Slacker G2 radio uses a similar/same connector and has a dock of sorts(mini usb charging and line-out) for around $30. No HDMI, but for charging on my desk, it would be nice.
Anyone know whether it will be compatible?

It's pricey, yes. But it's solid, looks very nice, it's not as annoying as plugging the cable every time, and it does not require powered-on PC to charge, or replugging to wall socket.

Skullcandy are pretty low quality. They sound overly bassy without any redeeming qualities. I suppose they're better than some other headphones in the price range. But there are plenty of better pairs in the variety.
Sent from my Nobody Cares.
I got them for $12.95 eBay. It said "Blemished Packaging" so it was cheap

I'd still say that the Samsung headphones bundled with the S1,2, and 3 are better quality headphones for around the same price on ebay. But it all comes down to your personal preference and I don't exactly get a commission for selling them.

You can get some very well rated headphones from Phillips or Monoprice for that amount or less, but usually when people spend under $20 on earphones, they're not looking for great sound quality.

Yeah. My budget was low. But these ones I bought will be better than Sony MDR-EX10LPs right?

From personal experience and what I've read, I find it hard to believe anything Skull Candy will be better than similarly priced Sony or other reputable brands.
As I see it, Beats, Bose and Skull Candy all focus more on style than substance, form than function, and reputation than quality.
I tell everyone, with any budget, if you're looking for the headphones/earphones that suit you the best (not the best, as sound signature is personal preference), that www.head-fi.org is the best place to go.
I had 2 pairs of them they both broke, not much bass either. Then I got some SoundMagic E10's and they sound amazing. Totally recommend them. (nobody's paying me)

As said above, dollar for dollar Sonys would definitely take it. For $12 bucks I guess it's nothing to worry over, though.

What I wanted was some pumping bass in my earphones. I used a skullcandy titan 2 years ago and man that soumded awesome.
Anyway, I am seeing many Phillips earphones on eBay within the $12 range, and they have bigger drivers than my skullcandies.
Since I am a noob, if anyone could find me the BEST earphones on ebay.ca within $12.20, I will be ever greatful.
My main concern is bass, thats all.

Lots of good info there. The 3580's are supposed to have a sub bass beetle we 15 Hz, which is remarkable.
Edit: the JVC FX40 might be even better for you.

hi, quick simple question, does it come with any headset/phones? on the sony website it mentioned coming with a set. i know its not a massive deal but it comes in handy.
but i've had two units now (sent one back for replacement as it was a bit faulty) and neither had anything in the box. although there was a space in the box which looks like the headphones may have fit.
bought through o2, seems a bit odd that units bought through a certain retailer (for the same money) would be lacking in some of the package.

Mine came with headphones (EE), but like all the mobiles I have owned, I shant be using them. Do your ears a favor and buy some Soundmagic E10's http://www.iheadphones.co.uk/soundmagic-e10-black.html?gclid=CIOuoPLM67kCFTIQtAodYTYArg £26
The headphones that come with mobiles tend to entertain everyone else as well as the wearer...

already got soundmagics. guess i'm making a bigger deal about it than i need to be as i probably wouldnt use unless in case of not having my other ones on hand.
Mine did not come with earplugs.
But I got a dock though, and will be gettin a bluetooth headset anyway.
I got 2 headset... 1 wired and 1 wireless..
I got the premium headset out of the box, bought from Sony store in Berlin.

Yeah it's weird, some comes bundled with headset and no dock, while other has dock and no headset. What is this BS sony? Just give headset and dock in all packages, problem solved.
So I ordered a new Nexus 6 because of a warranty case and after opening the new originally sealed Nexus 6 I found out that there are no earbuds within the package? Also the official Google Website lists the Nexus 6 now without ear pods. But my original ordered Nexus 6 (6 months ago) came with ear pods.
Are there any other changes I should take notice of ?

lol weird.. I ordered mine in february from amazon.fr and got it delivered with motorola ear buds. Also most "unboxing" videos have the ear buds. I wonder if there is anything else I should check on my new nexus 6 before fully using it? E.g. cpu bin ?

Nor Sprint.
Nor Verizon....
Nor google in the UK
Mine is about 2 months old from Verizon and definitely didn't have earbuds. Seems crazy since we pay such a premium price for these phones.
I have a box of unused ear buds from several previous devices you can have.
It's all just an illusion
My Nexus came with the type of buds you smoke :cyclops: Must have been the version from a Mountain with a View. Damn hippie programmers, I wanted a Happy Meal instead.

But seriously, I didn't get ear buds either from a Verizon-bought N6.
It's waste in the age of Bluetooth accessories: might as well send a cassette tape for extra storage. The only things wired in my house are appliances, lights, and mechanical bull.
I'm glad I didn't get any crappy generic ear buds with my phone. Have too many of those already (or actually had, they've all gone to electronics heaven)...
Completely agree with @orangechoochoo. If I want to listen to music or use a headset I connect my bluetooth Sennheisers.
I use full-cabled headphones. Bluetooth is old technology. Graneted, not as old as wired, but I find that the sound quality and even volume suffers for me.over Bluetooth.
That said, generic earbuds wouldn't do either.
Got mine from Google Store and got no earbuds!
Bought my Nexus 6 about three months ago from motorola via Amazon. Didn't get any earbuds. I did however get earbuds for signing up with Project Fi.
